Sometimes I Hate Being Right
Most of the time, honestly
See, we can’t let He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named win the election again, because Our Democracy wouldn’t be able to endure the will of the voters. Therefore, Literally-Worse-Than-Voldemort gets THE LAW.
And that’s why the proud boys trial was so important — it’s the next step in the Democrat’s Hail Mary to prevent Trump from running in 2024. Already, Democrats and their sycophants in the media are rabbling about “getting the ringleader”. (Of course, they promised to “get him” before he even took office.)
And while Trump may be their next important target, they certainly won’t be stopping there.
….now we’ve reached the point where they don’t just go after the little people who can’t defend themselves against the full force of the government, they literally go after the leader of the opposition party in order to prevent him from being elected by the voters. Nobody is worried that Trump is going to lose the election in 2024 and try to force his way into the White House. This “plan” is to prevent Trump from taking office SHOULD HE ACTUALLY WIN THE ELECTION.
This is a HUGE red flag, warning us of our descent into the “natural” order of things — tyrants sitting at the top telling the rest of us what to do. All it takes is a national security threat, some emergency powers, and maybe an economic crisis and the “leaders” can ignore pesky things like the rights of the people.
Everything is an attack on our democracy……except arresting your political opponents.
Just for fun here’s a video:
Guesses on when they are charged? (If you guessed ‘the day after never’, you are correct.)
Still think we’re gonna vote our way out of this?

I don't particularly like Trump, I didn't vote for him in 2016 or 2020 (I didn't vote for HRC or Halfwit Joe, either) but it's obvious that this is a witch hunt.
I have to say, I really don't understand the endgame. I mean, I know it seems to be obvious. Keep Donald Trump out of the White House.
But--I'm going to use a metaphor from their point of view--Donald Trump isn't the disease. He's a symptom. And he's one of those symptoms that keeps the full force of the disease at bay.
Do they really think if they keep him out of the White House that they will keep the populism at bay? Because it is clear to anyone with eyes that Trump was riding a wave, not leading a movement (otherwise there would not be so many not-Trump-again MAGA people, and there are a fair amount). And they are validating every complaint and fear of the people who voted for him. And if they think those people are just going away because their "leader" is taken out . . .
That is some next level stupid right there.
