It’s a quick read that highlight’s Kennedy’s excellent remarks. I added a few of my own thoughts. This move will no doubt boomerang on the Censorship Industrial Complex. What those censors really did was throw ‘B’rer Rabbit into the briar patch.
Yeah, we can’t vote our way out of this, but it’s both better and worse than it appears. Fact is, Trump didn’t substantially change anything during his time in office, when push came to shove, he caved to the pressures. That doesn’t mean he’s part of the cabal that doesn’t like him, I suspect that the outrage amongst the elites is genuine, but it’s also completely irrelevant to us in the gutters.
The good news is that if you look anywhere in our civilization, you can see the blinding incompetence due to the massive scale of most organizations. It’s amazing to me most days that we can even keep the lights on anymore (and in lots of places, they already can’t!) The collapse of civilization may not happen with a nuclear war or citizens’ uprisings… the institutions that claim authority can only maintain it if enough people believe in it. So all of this may just fade away, and sooner than we may think. The elites can have their war in heaven and destroy what’s left of their infrastructure doing it. Meanwhile, the focus should be on small scale communities becoming self-sufficient.
When these types of people fail to perform their basic functions, government as a whole fails. In OUR world, teachers resisted going to work even after jumping the vaccination queue, and seem to be more interested in fighting the culture war than teaching when they ARE in the classroom. In Washington DC, almost 70% of cases were never prosecuted in 2022. And after a major rail disaster spewed chemicals into the air for days, our Secretary of Transportation couldn’t be bothered to visit.
But since all of these people exist outside of the free market system (instead existing in the political system), they face little consequences for their actions. Even after Mayor Pete was shamed into visiting (after Trump’s visit), he only did it to check the box and stop the political bleeding. (It didn’t go so well.)
SC - "Still think we’re gonna vote our way out of this?"
As I keep screaming... "Are the people who fail to understand these consequences the same ones who think they can vote in change? or just self delusional? "
What's worse than being right is people who know that we've been right still unable to at least consider what we say and go about their business like everything is awesome. Oh well. While those same people who refuse to listen load up their campers, four wheelers, boats, Harleys, pack for their cruises and "dream trips", wax their new vehicles for the banks that own them, mix up the fuel for their jet skis, and every other materialistic insanity known to the average American, I am focusing on those who do know we're right and we are parking all of the toys and learning how to grow food, preserve food, support one another when a masked minion shows up at our door with a hypodermic or IRS warrant. Woe to those who are still living their lives like nothing is wrong and aren't willing to put the petty crap to the side for a while so we can attempt to resist the tyranny...
"At least we’ll go down Screaming" and I will be screaming and telling bad jokes. I remember lots of elephant jokes from 4th grade...unfortunately for everyone else. Heeyyyyyyyy macarena! (That has been stuck in my head so I'm sharing.) I am so sick of Stoopids f*cking things up!! Breeding should be a no-no for them. My small, new confetti-dispensing apparatus is fun even though the confetti doesn't go very far.
Can't they just give him a slice of the pie instead? Isn't there the old adage of having someone in your tent pissing out being better than having them pissing on the tent from the outside?
Anyways, this is very reminiscent of the main US allies Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine (being allies in name only of course, and only as long as the cash flows) always act around elections or equivalent processes.
The EU is inching that way too, only slowed by distrust and arrogance between the leading Axis nations Germany and France about who's the power behind the throne, and who's reaching for their toes while perfidious Albion as per usual sits on the sideline egging any and all dissent among the continental powers on as much as they can - hey, it's workd well for 500+ years, so the blame should apply equally to them as to anyone trusting Britain to ever act in any other way.
You're either in the club or you get clubbed to paraphrase a certain comedian.
Scene: random hobo sleeping it off in a ripe field. Farmer John is out driving the combine harvester in said field, about to run over the hobo. Tourists on the nearby road has spotted the hobo and are jumping up and down and yelling:
"Hey! Hey!"
Famrer John briefly stops the harvester, and replies: "No, it's not hay! It's wheat!"
And drives on (insert sound effect).
Edit: then we have the one about the milk maid, the mailman and the rape field...
Trump has been the best thing for Democrats since the New Deal!! Had Hillary won Democrats probably would have lost in 2020 and never would have controlled the presidency and Congress in 2021-2022.
Yeah, the whole "but it's really a man" thing for hollywood stars is way overblown, IMHO. But aside from the Bullock reference, I think the rest of the song is fairly accurate :) Even if he is a flat earther, he is such an amazing musician (plays all the instruments himself most of the time) that I'll give him a pass on the mistaken geography beliefs :)
Agreed! That guy is very talented, and I share his views on the majority of topics. And I must say, that includes warming up to flat earthers! I've come to respect them the more I listen to "debates" where people like Austin Witsit or Flat Earth Dave at least try to bring up interesting points and be somewhat cordial despite being constantly shouted down by condescending "experts" who don't even understand the heliocentric model let alone what the flat earthers are trying to present. And after the last few years, I no longer put anything past our corrupt governments, mainstream media, or Teh SciEnCe™ haha
Take heed of what Sim Com says, we do not vote our way out of this. There is just one box left of the four that secure liberty. They is just one way remaining to correct this.
No, we can’t vote our way out of this. Can we vote for at least a timeout from the insanity to pull our philosophical heads out of our asses? Hope so, because we sure have a lot of work to do.
Nothing will change until people stop believing leftist drivel.
this is just my personal view. Why would democrats not think of long term and short term gains? The more they go after Trump, the more they are sure to have him as a candidate. The greater chance of him being president again. I am no fan of Trump, I think he is just as corrupt as any other politician, but at lease he is up front about it.. Can you imagine all the payback he would do? And, why wouldn’t he? We as a nation are coming apart because we want different things. We as a nation and culture are on the decline. We are overdrawn in financial terms, there is no plan B, no higher power to get us out of this quagmire, we don’t trust the media, have no faith in our government and on a basic level people no longer believe in voting because the game is rigged. Whoever gets to be president next is in for trouble both internationally and domestically on a scale that is unimaginable.
Personally I am scaling back on technology. While I like Substack, I can’t figure out notes (its like twitter only longer, and no I don’t do Twitter) nor do I plan to do Threads. I don’t have a credit card for cheap gas, nor do I have the app. I stay away from stores where I have to be a member to get the lower price. Don’t do Target, no cable or satellite, no TikTok or streaming. Think DVDs and basic tv. I stopped reading substack because I was back east for a memorial, and I did really okay. Now it is me who has changed and hopefully it will stick. All the news is bad and getting worse why open myself up to abuse and lies.
If Trump was just as corrupt as any other politician, they would have nailed him on corruption charges (bribery, tax evasion, etc.....Biden favorites) long ago.
The fact that they have been unable to do so, and have to manufacture offenses to charge him with, means that he must be a hell of a lot more honest than most in Washington DC.
His opponents calling him a crook doesn’t mean that he really is one.
At the playing field he is on they are all corrupt. Do I think the charges against him are bogus, ABSOLUTELY. Will he be arrested, jailed, found guilty no he will not because it will be overturned, and be in a legal quagmire for years. Will this prevent him from running, they will try, but he will run again and a whole lot of people will vote for him. If he becomes the Republican candidate for president, and Biden is the democrats choice, this might be the spark that starts a whole lot of black swan events. It will be a political, constitutional nightmare. How can they charge him with anything and ignore Biden?
I’m in Texas. I will age out (nice way to say die) before they get here. The south and Midwest is different than the coasts. It (the south) may actually thrive and survive.
They need not physically go for you, though they will go after some to satisfy their urges. All they need to do is use the QR CODE controlled access already in use in China and Japan to cut off your food, gasoline and utilities. Those who go off grid put a beacon on their homestead by “disappearing” from the grid. There have already been, no years old reports of townships going after those who go off grid.
Yes, the older among us will age out, like the term BTW, but our kids will be left with a living hell to suffer through out this life.
I don’t have kids. Hubby and I married in our 30s/40s. Babies are out of the picture at that point. Do fur leg breakers count? As a former graphic designer I knew in my heart QR codes were a bad thing from the start. We have been having lots of conversations about control items, food, water, electricity. Growing up there were times when I had no food, electricity, so if left a very big impact on me. If I had kids I would say, you are going to have to carve out you own niche, family and community. Like those around you. Life isn’t fair. Take care.
I have to say, I really don't understand the endgame. I mean, I know it seems to be obvious. Keep Donald Trump out of the White House.
But--I'm going to use a metaphor from their point of view--Donald Trump isn't the disease. He's a symptom. And he's one of those symptoms that keeps the full force of the disease at bay.
Do they really think if they keep him out of the White House that they will keep the populism at bay? Because it is clear to anyone with eyes that Trump was riding a wave, not leading a movement (otherwise there would not be so many not-Trump-again MAGA people, and there are a fair amount). And they are validating every complaint and fear of the people who voted for him. And if they think those people are just going away because their "leader" is taken out . . .
If they can take down and jail trump, that’s a huge deterrent for future similar behavior. Not many people will be willing, or have the means to take on the full force of the government. If anything it’s almost like they are poking the bear to get people so upset they possibly take up arms and even assassinate some of those responsible for this miscarriage of justice. This will lead to the call for more tyranny, more power. Its gonna be an interesting couple of years either way.
Suggestion: most of the leadership, both in the DNC and their corporate allies, are getting on in years so everything they plan and do is on an ever-tightening timetable.
Ah, so they're not really looking ahead. *taps chin* That would explain a lot I suppose. I expect a plan and there is no plan. Diabolically clever, I must say.
I don't particularly like Trump, I didn't vote for him in 2016 or 2020 (I didn't vote for HRC or Halfwit Joe, either) but it's obvious that this is a witch hunt.
Trump was my perfect candidate on paper and I didn’t vote for him—because I knew he was unethical and corrupt and a con man…so this proves me correct!! I like being correct!

Why did the elephant wear tennies?
Because ninies were too small and elevensies were too big.

A Hair-shirt!

No. It’s been plain since the administrative coup d’etat of March 2020 that we’re not going to ‘vote our way out of this.’
When you get schlonged by Fauci maybe you should have never been president. ;)
