Now That We're Done Pretending Hunter's Laptop Is Fake, Can We Talk About It?
The laptop is real, so are the scandals
Set into motion by the NY Post, Hunter Biden’s laptop saga began just before the 2020 election. The Post claimed that files on a laptop abandoned in a Delaware computer repair shop proved that Hunter was trading on his father’s name and introducing his business partners in Ukraine to his dad — then Vice President Biden, who was the Obama administration’s pointman to Ukraine.
The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.
The DNC and the Biden campaign, along with the media, provided numerous reasons why we shouldn’t listen to the laptop story. Some people, such as Chris Coons from Delaware, twisted the entire story around to make it about Giuliani, claiming anything Rudy Giuliani touches must be a hoax.
(This is the perfect time to remind everyone that Giuliani’s political career was basically ended by Ron Paul in the 2008 GOP debate!!)
By far the most common line of attack, even employed by Coons above, was calling the NY Post story ‘disinformation’ (the delicious center of the Mis-/Dis-/Malinformation sandwich known as MDM).
A group of ‘former intelligence experts’ even got together to (mostly publicly) write a letter stating the story had the ‘classic earmarks’ of Russian disinformation, giving media something to point to as to why they weren’t covering the laptop and its contents. Joe Biden himself used this excuse during a presidential debate. And even though the actual letter itself stated there was no intelligence to support this ‘disinformation’ theory, this fact was left out of nearly all the news stories.
In a terrible foreshadowing of things to come, Hunter’s laptop was labeled ‘disinformation’ and the story was banned from social media. (This tactic has now been used multiple times to silence those who disagree with the approved narrative - most recently with the implication that you’re “Pro-Putin” if you argue against war over Ukraine) When the laptop story WAS mentioned, Wolf Blizter and the rest of the circus couldn’t wait to tell you how these allegations were ALREADY being investigated as Russian disinformation:
NPR’s response was typical of the entire industry:
“We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions,” NPR Managing Editor for News Terence Samuel told me. “And quite frankly, that’s where we ended up, this was … a politically driven event and we decided to treat it that way.”
Not only did the media justify ignoring the story: THEY PATTED THEMSELVES ON THE BACK FOR DOING IT. How smart they were, being able to determine who was lying and ignore those peddlers of Russian disinformation! “It’s all fake!” shouted the same organizations that spouted four years of Russiagate and Pisstape nonsense. Instead of doing work, they simply suppressed what was politically inconvenient but easily verifiable. Not even “60 Minutes” could be bothered to perform actual journalism:
But the laptop was the easiest thing in the world to verify. The name of the computer shop was public information, as was the identity of the owner. (And, unsurprisingly, he paid the price) The emails clearly showed the addresses of the other people involved in the correspondence, just ask them to confirm or deny their authenticity! This was the easiest fact-check ever! Hell, after he was named in the emails, Tony Bobulinski went on TV and told us all about his time working with Hunter!
Yet nearly all the ‘media’ refused to do these basic steps of journalism. As a result, the 2020 election came and went without voters knowing the truth — which, it turns out, would have been a big deal to Biden voters.
But reality is persistent. In April 2021 (six months into the saga), NPR walked back their claim that the laptop story was ‘discredited’. Miranda Devine’s book “Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide”, a meticulously researched bombshell, forced most non-partisans to admit the laptop story was genuine. And recently, even the New York Times admitted the story was true (though they waited until paragraph 24).
So here we are, March of 2022, and it seems that everybody is done pretending the laptop is fake. Most of the focus so far has been on the (continued) incompetence of the media, as well as Big Tech’s ‘special relationship’ with government.
Dunking on media is completely appropriate, especially after they have been exposed as the lying hacks they are. Discussing Big Tech being in bed with government is also important, as government is simply pulling an end-around to claim the First Amendment isn’t being violated. But that’s not where the story ends — we now need to face what the laptop contains.
I ignore the personal shit. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t matter in the overall picture, and as long as everybody’s legally consenting, whatever. I’m far more concerned with what the emails mean for our government in general and Joe Biden in particular. (The only crossover seems to be when Hunter paid for his prostitute escort sex worker with his dad’s credit card)
Probably the most famous of these scandals is the formation of a global investment firm called SinoHawk Holdings LLC, which was funded with $10 million in Chinese cash. Half of SinoHawk was owned by Chinese business titan Ye Jianming (now missing), while the other half was split among more familiar names:
“Jim” refers to Jim Biden, and the ‘big guy’ was confirmed by Bobulinski to be Joe Biden, bringing the ‘Biden share’ of these millions of dollars sloshing around the company up to 40% — as well as a couple lucrative salaries. (Side note: I sure would like to know what Hunter’s ‘office expectations’ were!) Knowing how cheaply our ‘leaders’ are bought off, I can only imagine how far this cash goes toward access or personal favors.
But China wasn’t Hunter’s only playground. Back in Ukraine (home of the cushy Burisma board position paying $50,000 a month), Hunter was raising millions of dollars for Department of Defense contractor Metabiota, ostensibly a biotech firm, but one with a strange goal - Ukraine’s continued integration into Western society.
And those millions of dollars got spent. There was so much cash flowing, Hunter even brought Burisma into the mix! Double cha-ching!
Yes, that money was spent researching dangerous diseases in Ukraine. In biolabs. Perhaps the very biolabs that Victoria Nuland was so worried would fall into Russian hands?
This unexpected Hunter/biolab link shows just how pervasive and deep the swamp is. We’re talking about tens of millions of dollars — taxpayer dollars — being shoveled hand-over-fist to the politically connected. No accountability, no oversight, just the right people knowing the right people to get access to government coffers.
When viewed through this lens, it really makes you wonder: How much of our response to Ukraine is a pure cover-your-ass maneuver? Would we be so interested in brinksmanship with Russia if Joe Biden and his family weren’t balls deep in Ukrainian corruption? Would we still be placing sanctions on Russia, creating food shortages for millions and hurting Americans in the process?
And sanctions don’t just hurt Americans directly, they drive Russia into the arms of China — who I’m guessing will be happy to buy up all the discounted oil they can. The whole sordid act shows the world the importance of not relying on the promises of Americans. And now Russia has responded to our sanctions by demanding ‘unfriendly’ nations pay for Russian oil and gas in Rubles instead of dollars. This as the petrodollar already faces pressure as Saudi Arabia considers taking yuan for oil. The fall of the petrodollar would likely lead to the collapse of the USD as the reserve currency of the world. No-longer-needed dollars would come flooding back into the country, setting off another huge bout of inflation as Americans are already struggling to hold on.
Sound crazy? Twitter is even getting ahead of the situation trying to soften the fall.
The laptop is real. Everybody knows it. It proves that Joe Biden is bought and paid for. Now it’s time to ask the hard questions: What would a bought president be doing? Cutting our energy independence? Hurting Americans by cutting off trade via sanctions? Pushing us into a war we can’t possibly win that would likely lead to the rise of China as the world’s superpower? Devaluing the dollar and gutting the middle class?
Maybe the better question is: If Biden’s goal was to wreck the economy and enable the rise of China, would he be doing anything at all differently?

I totally spaced on mentioning the military equipment left behind for China to scoop up after we abandoned Bagram in the middle of the night........

A very good post, kudos.
One of the scariest parts of all this is that Big Tech is mostly certainly in bed with the left. That became crystal clear over the past year or so when all MSM outlets started to parrot the exact same lines over and over about SARS-2. You can be sure that there is quid pro quo happening - Big Tech promises to be a relentless mouthpiece for the left's propaganda while the left gov't promises to not talk about any legislation that might impact Big Tech's big profits. It's a Faustian bargain.
And I say all this as a (now former) Democratic voter. Allowing Mr. Magoo to be president is apparently the best the left can do.
It's sickening and shameful.
