One of Ronald Reagan's very, very rare errors in speaking. In fact, it is highly misleading to those too young to have heard him to criticize him for it. He was erudite and uniting in word, deed, and spirit. If that makes you uncomfortable, you have bought the lies, imo.
Of course, he was a Republican, so (even then) he was not treated fairly by the media, nor woke historians today.
His only real mistake was naming a spook, Mr. "voodoo economics" himself, as VP. The neo-con Bushes and their VPs, on the other hand, were *never* representative of their party's roots and lay voters.
For a while now, I’ve had a recurring nightmare that emanates from my knowledge that 100 percent of society’s important “truth-seeking” organizations are completely captured. In my recent essay, I quantify the capture rate in American colleges, where 4,200 of them got ALL the important take-aways regarding Covid response spectacularly wrong.
Chris Hitchens wrote a devastating line about politicians (probably in The Nation, I've not been able to locate it) but he basically described how shocked he was to learn, very early in his career, that politicians are stupid beyond belief. I wish I could find the quote because it was a quintessential Hitchens take down. He was truly gifted. Too bad he was an atheist, but that is between him and God now.
Loved the internet/tubes video. Had to check to see if it was the same guy as made this fantastic piece from a few years ago. It is not: https://youtu.be/9JRLCBb7qK8?feature=shared
Omg, M. Sim. It didn't take Kennedy long give in to pressure to walk it back!

The puppy made me smile. Thanks.
She appreciated the belly rub!
You couldn't scratch around and find anything stupid from Nancy Pelosi, Bob Menendez, Maxine Waters, or AOC, and my favorite Eric Swalwell.
Me too....!! I want a belly rub...
Spunky looks like a great dog!
Similar in size to our 3rd dog in the current crew...rescued street dog from Atlanta, Georgia.
Brindle colored.
40 lbs. of pure muscle, the most popular dog on hikes, and the sweetest guy you'll ever meet.
Now just over a year old.
Still has dew claws like Spunky.
She's still growing every week - the dismay of the medium-sized dog :)
Yeah, and will still act like a goof, until about 13-14 months...
Then the agility starts.
That part is amazing!
What distinguishes a regime from a representative government is that a regime can't handle a joke.
When I have ever thought of Quayle, and it's been forever, many long years ago, a certain expression automatically comes to mind!
"Dumber than a Box of Rocks!" 😳
