Hello, Screamers! I hope everybody had a relaxing Easter weekend devoid of the insanity-inducing stuff we normally discuss here! Before we get to the funny, I want to highlight a very special video featuring a very special Screamer!
During the last few years, my friend and fellow Ron Paul enthusiast was attending school so he could eventually graduate into a pastoral position. This year was his very first Easter sermon, and I’m excited to share it with those who perhaps didn’t hear one yesterday! (Skip to 13:40 for the start of the sermon)
As implied in the headline, this April Fools’ Day, we’re focusing on the fools: politicians. Whether these quotes are gaffes, verbal stumbles, or just politicians being politicians, hopefully they bring a smile to your face today!
First up, Ronald Reagan botches John Adams’ quote about facts being stubborn things.
Some people are born with the ability to speak without saying anything at all:
And one of those people was Donald Rumsfeld:
This is right up there with Rumsfeld’s “We know where [the weapons of mass destruction] are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.”
Way to narrow it down, Donald.
Remember when Rudy Giuliani forgot about the event he shaped his entire political career around?
He must have been one of the children George Bush was talking about:
Why no ask?
And they always will be……..
This was actually before Bidenomics:
Now the chance of failure has (at least) doubled — just like your grocery bill.
Some quotes are so hilarious……..
……..they lead to meme videos. (This is perhaps the greatest thing on the internet)
Remember when we thought it couldn’t get worse than Dan Quayle?
What an innocent time.
I used to think this was a gaffe but these days I’m not so sure……
This was so ablest:
This George Bush quote might actually be a universal truth about presidents:
But in this time of idiotic quotes from politicians, it’s important to also highlight quotes of people making fun of politicians — for balance!
“Politicians: A permanent problem” — Plato
Woodrow Wilson speaks from the past to address our current censorship problem:
The irony here is OFF THE CHARTS:
And finally, a wonderful quote from Will Rogers that may as well be the tagline of this entire Substack:
I could probably fill the entire internet with stupid political quotes, but we’ve got to draw the line somewhere! Hopefully this brought a smile to your face — if not, tell me what DID make you happy this week in the comments below!

I confess to all assembled that Kamala Harris has made me think of poor Dan Quayle with much less scorn.
well now that i’m good and depressed…. i can’t even muster one chuckle the state of affairs is so frightening. Biden has done me in with his Transgender Recognition Day on Easter and i’m not religious… what is he trying to accomplish??
