While we're collecting data on hospitalizations...it shouldn't be too hard to publish statistics on ER visits or ICU occupancy by vaccination status, should it? Why not kill two birds with one stone and prove how effective AND how safe these products are in one fell swoop?
Be careful what you ask for. The vaccinated will be presumed to be non-COVID patients, while the unvaccinated won't need symptoms to go on the COVID list.
My hospital was reporting weekly admissions by vaccination status since the beginning of the “pandemic”. Vaccinated admissions generally ranged from 30%-50% on any given week. Interestingly enough, however, they stopped reporting this way in the middle of December. The abrupt change in reporting protocol was quite interesting for those of us paying attention…
