I watched that prank video without sound and I didn't know they were a couple. I thought she was just letting some stranger walk up and hold her hand until I saw the end.
These were really great and made me feel happy,. Thanks for the laffs and the cool videos.
The bear and the kitty was super cool Bears are not always big gobblers, but I was surprised the bear did not take the kitty in it's mouth, Maybe he knew that kitty would spring off like a rocket.
Have a super fun week everyone. laugh a lot and get stuff done
Baseball is the perfect background noise for me -- lots of times I'll be writing during the game with a little picture-in-picture window up in the corner of my monitor. When something exciting happens I can pay attention, but mostly it's the equivalent of listening on the radio.
Fun fact: When I was in HS I wanted to get into radio and end up as the Royals play-by-play guy. At some point I realized the CURRENT play-by-play guy had been doing it for like 30 years and the job obviously didn't have a lot of turnover.
That was 25 years or so ago, and Denny Matthews is STILL doing play-by-play for the Royals.
Duchess, Have you ever played golf? Haha. It's not a soothing game.
I remember caddying for one guy at the country club. He was playing in a high stakes Nassau game of golf.
On the fifteenth hole, which is surrounded by deep sand traps, he'd hit his ball into the front trap. My patron then blasted out of the sand into the trap behind the green. He then blasted out of the sand into the trap in front of the green.
This continued for several minutes and a lot of strokes as he went from the front bunker to the back sand trap and back to the front sand trap over and over and over. Hell, I thought my patron was going to have a stroke. He was one pissed off golfer. That 15th hole cost him a lot of money.
I prefer to say i play At golf! But yes..except I have no one to play with anymore and am too shy to just go and attach to a threesome. I actually like playing although i suck at it..and I won't carry my clubs or wheel rhem...my favorite part is driving the cart..and then going to clubhouse afterwards and eating a cheeseburger or a hot dog!
My happy thing for the past week: Mr. "the Knife" and I were able to see the Blue Angels this weekend. We had a tradition of watching the Blues out on the I-90 bridge deck, which was really the best place to watch them, but they have shut that down for the past couple of years. It was still thrilling to see them from my MIL's front yard.
Does the Naval Aviation History Museum still allow the public to watch them practice when they're based in P'Cola? We watched them there one time, and it was an awesome experience.
The world-famous Blue Angels are based at NAS Pensacola and can be seen practicing over the Museum at NAS Pensacola on select days throughout the year. Come watch them soar and then spend the day at the Museum. Admission is FREE.
St. Alia the Knife, I worked at Kenmore Air Harbor for ten years as a seaplane mechanic. I'm sure you are acquainted with the floatplanes flying over Lake Washington.
One of the KAH pilots was invited to a big party at a mansion on the east shore of Lake Washington. It was SeaFair week and the Blue Angels were in town.
The floatplane pilot from Kenmore Air Harbor was regaling a beautiful young woman at the party with his exploits flying a seaplane around the Puget Sound area.
A handsome young man walked up to the pretty woman and started making conversation. The Kenmore seaplane pilot took offense and said, "Hey! Who do you think you are?"
"I'm a Navy pilot in the Blue Angels."
When we mechanics heard this story in the hangar we laughed our asses off and never let the floatplane pilot forget it.
St. Alia the Knife, Thanks for the links. I've never seen the comedian Regan before. I have heard the speed check story. Those Blackbirds were really fast.
A Blackbird has a pilot and a backup pilot to watch the radars and radio. The Blackbird was flying over the Middle East taking reconnaissance photos when a missile came up from the ground at them.
The pilot hit the throttles and the Blackbird went up to Mach 3 or 4 headed for the Mediterranean.
A few minutes later, the backup pilot said, "Hey, Jimmy. You might want to back off of the throttles. Were way out over the Atlantic."
"He is... The Most Interesting Floof In the World."
"I don't always drink cream. But when I do, I drink Dos Leches."
I just found this 😹 https://x.com/TheFigen_/status/1820876316230500674
That's a mighty powerful cat paw! Excellent timing! Thanks for sharing it!

Nouveaux riches, Nouveaux pauvres, what a great concept. I'm going to use that one a hundred times!
Judge Mehta’s ruling on Google made me happy! Let’s hope it sticks through appeals…
Imagine "Mehta" ruling against Meta. Quite ironic
Agreed!!
Nimbus for Prez!
Can you imagine what the White House chef would be preparing for breakfast, lunch, and especially state dinners? Fish, fish, and more fish!
These were really great and made me feel happy,. Thanks for the laffs and the cool videos.

How much meth does that Nimbus cat ingest a day? LOL.
Large quantities of catnip lol
I went to a real red Sox game once...I enjoyed it in person..but can't watch on tv...
I can only watch golf on tv...and even then it's just a soothing noise..while I'm doing housework or laundry.

I think that was a cool thing to want to be..maybe your stack is your grown up way of calling a bigger game?
I'd 100000% rather have a sports-based 'Stack and ignore politics completely -- but that's not the time we're living in.
You're too young to be so wise!

Golf is frustrating..as many say it's a good walk spoiled!

Great success!
When a cat pats you on the head you know it's gonna be a good day!!
Julie, My cat used to sleep on my head. My hair smelled like cat piss at school. It was embarrassing.
😂
SC - Thanks for the yuks. "404: No Witty Closing Found" LMAO.

Thank you. We’re not living there anymore, but next time we visit we will make a point to see them again.

That's great - reminds me of Brian Regan's "I walked on the moon."

Taibbi talking about how the government put surveillance on Tulsi Gabbard, acting like she was an enemy of the state.
Happy Monday.
