It’s been just over a month since Lori Lightfoot announced the city’s vax pass (to stop hospitals from being overwhelmed) we started watching Chicago’s hospital stats. On 12/22 when the article was published, there were just over 600 covid-positive patients in the hospital, which was 85% full.

I try very hard to understand why some people got vaccinated, and not to judge them.
But I'm not going to extend the same courtesy to those who show their vaccine cards to get privileges denied to others (whether they're students attending school in LA or diners at a restaurant in Chicago). Not even when they acknowledge its uselessness and stupidity (looking at you, Bari Weiss, since you've made the news recently). I'm not sure I'm ever going to be able to get over their complicity.
It's quite interesting that toddlers in the US and younger children are so much more contagious and in "danger" than those in other countries that don't mandate masks and/or vaccinations for this group. Yet all based on the same "science?"
Whatever the hell "this" is....when it finally ends, we need to smash their faces into it like a dog who's left a dump somewhere they shouldn't. We need to imprison some, embarrass others, and change laws everywhere so this CAN'T happen ever again.
It will take a while but we can't stop until it's all done!
Agree about destroying loopholes. But Chicago is a totally lost cause. Did you know that you can go to a convention with tens of thousands of people at McCormick Place if you are unvaccinated? But you cannot eat food there without a vax card. This is beyond loopholes.
