Even before he got into office, Joe Biden was promising to hamper domestic energy production and instead focus on the ‘existential threat’ of climate change:

And upon taking office, Biden did exactly that, bypassing normal rule-making procedures and using executive orders to shut down the Keystone pipeline and numerous other domestic energy projects. At the time, ‘cause-and-effect theorists’ pointed out the obvious consequences to these actions, namely higher energy prices that translate into higher everything prices.
Now that these theories are turning into reality in the form of $5/gallon gas and outrageous grocery bills, Joe Biden is once again prepared to ignore normal rule-making procedures and instead order the nation’s largest oil companies to increase production. Yet even when a normal person would admit they were wrong and beg forgiveness, Biden continues to lie and blame everybody else for our problems:
Of course, normal-thinking people understand the ‘post hoc ergo propter hoc’ fallacy and realize that just because gas has increased $1.70 since the invasion doesn’t mean it’s ALL because of the invasion. But Biden is going to continue to hammer that talking point:
It’s like he doesn’t think we can remember that gas was rising long before Putin invaded Ukraine and ‘forced’ Biden to stop buying Russian oil — once again completely ignoring the normal law-making process. (For a defender of democracy, he sure seems uninterested in following its laws.)
As Biden continues his historic slide in the polls and the GOP wins formerly blue areas in Texas, the administration is reduced to peeing on our legs and telling us it’s raining. (Side note: It seems that Hispanic voters are much more interested in traditional family values than being woke. This is bad, bad news for Democrats.) So while Americans get a reality check every time they make a purchase, the Biden administration looks more and more like The Party issuing their final command.
They’re certainly changing people’s lives, although only the already-connected are made better off by government raining money down from Mount Vernon. I’m sure the proposed ‘windfall profit’ tax will (somehow?) fight inflation and bring costs down for Americans. And if it doesn’t, we know who to blame:
The man is a fool surrounded by clowns. So long as no one tells him the implications of his choices, he will continue to make bad ones. A fundamental lesson I learned as a top-tier global management consultant was that explaining the implications of a client's choice was a fundamental duty, no matter how much it might harm the consulting firm. The real President, evidently a melange of Nancy Pelosi and
Ron Klain, cannot see beyond the imperative of elect more Democrats.
Both appear to prefer to reign in hell than to serve in Heaven. When Satan tells this to Beelzebub, even Satan doesn't believe it, but knows Beelzebub must act as though he does, because he is an inferior angel.
Caitlin Johnstone contends that by repeating "Putin's price hike" over and over, they are attempting to create an illusory truth effect, which is a phenomenon by which people are more likely to belive something is true after hearing it said many times, even if they formerly knew it to be false. Shield yourselves from legacy media, friends. It rots your brain.
