Sim Commander, you are the best! LOVED the T-shirt that questions what a kilometer is??? Right now, I am reading a book about the Amercan Revolution ("The Indispensables" by Patrick K. O'Donnell. )Man, are we rowdies in this nation....Whew!!! Keep on!
“Thank you for choosing Pigeon Air. When we arrive at your destination, simply disembark at your leisure.”
🤣🤣🤣 I actually use that clip in my private pilot ground school lecture on the aerodynamics of lift, when we talk about the direction of the relative wind when it meets the chord line of the airfoil.
Happy Monday on a Tuesday. Please keep dear Quazi with you. I adore him. He reminds my of my beloved Miles, which I still can't believe is in kitty Heaven I just can't believe it. Yes, it is lovely to see Quazi. Where is he going?
It is hot here in Northern Virginia
I really enjoyed all of these videos!! The book about appliances/printer is very pertinent
We are learning new appliances here, and we did bring the printer/scanner over from the "old house" and it took hubbs a long time to get it hooked up to the new old internets.
Okay, he has kind of a lot of vision problems and it is so helpful that printers have such helpful dark grey screens and black ink. So helpful
Wore me out! Then it ended with a thunderstorm (which normally is lovely and calming in the hot summer) BUT... my dogs were afraid and needy. Good grief!
Am in Dublin Ireland, at Trinity College Saturday two women were eating pizza outside on some steps, a seagull dive bombed from the the side and took the pizza out of one’s hand, they never saw it coming, scared the crap out of them.
Last time I used a printer that simply worked, it was hand-cranked and you had to top it up with that blue alcohol-smelling stuff. It was part of the many subtle punishments at school, that you could earn for dicking about in places and ways that were frowned upon.
Such as shooting over-ripe rosehip-berries at the girls using home-made slingshots, or putting burdock-spurs in peoples clothes.
Innocent stuff that reads like a fairy-tale today.
Had my brother with family visiting, and got to play the role of "Old Uncle Rikard" for his youngest two, which is good fun (I'm 12 years older than my brother and his youngest are under ten so there's quite the generational gap).
"Know what this is, kids?"
"No? A big knife?"
"Hah, sort of. It's a scythe. Stand well to the side now" (proceeds reaping)
Kids looking on with saucer-eyes.
"Want to try? Don't worry about mom or grandma, they're with Aunty inside"
"Yaaayyy!"
"And later, I'll get the rifle out and you can try and see if you can hold it without help this year!"
"Yaaayyyy!"
That, plus hiking in the fjells. Weather swinging from +4C and 20m/s winds to +25C and no wind, inside 15 minutes. Lovely. (Scaring the tourists is great fun too, what with my "rugged mountain-man look" when hiking.)
Vandalizing an elk statue I guess because the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks aka "The Elks" (not the Free Masons) actually run all the evil crap on the planet.
