Are you ok, SC?

There wasn’t a Monday Positivity this week, so my family are all hoping you and your family are doing well.

And additional proof that cows are superior to humans. The world needs more cow videos.

Happy Tuesday afternoon. I just voted NO today in our state of Virginia, democrats are evil.

I love your girl dog "customer" I know she is getting great service

I like colored balls making music, that is very hypnotising. I also like the smart cow.

and the kitties in the hut in the rain,. I love that one. I will watch it again.

Great thing about beds for kids, They do need beds and they need to GO to bed!

We can not donate our mattresses even though they are practically brand new ~ but we pay $200 to sleep on a used mattress at a hotel and do not think much about that.

I hope this week is moving along just at the right pace. Days are going way to fast for me.

I have to think that the wording of that ballot measure will be enough to get it struck down, but we're living in crazy times....

Rosemary B's avatar

it is the dumbed thing I have ever voted against. They closed schools in Virginia for this. This was the only thing on the ballot.

Aging myself, but 'One Toke Over the Line' was performed on the Lawrence Welk show in '71.

And a One and A Two...

10,000 beds or 10 dry cats - tough decision, but I'll go with the beds. Awesome work!

SimulationCommander's avatar

Glad you enjoyed it!

One toke has long been a beloved song for me! You can't hear it without turning it up and singing along. ala Country Roads--another beloved song you absolutely must turn up and sing along.

Interesting dog/police video with dog taking down the bad guy. There is a really WONDERFUL TV series on Amazon Prime Video - it's called "Hudson & Rex" and is about a detective and his gorgeous German Shepherd dog, Rex who helps him take down the bad guys. Hudson works for St. John police force in Canada. It's very family friendly, kids as well as adults would enjoy it. Husband and I watched all 7 seasons and absolutely loved it. I can't recommend it enough. We're now watching "All Creatures Great and Small" on Amazon Prime, I also highly recommend that one too. It's about a veterinarian practice and the vets, set in 1930's England in York. Scenery is gorgeous and it's wonderful and family friendly too, based on the books written by James Herriott, a vet in 1930s England, he writes about the people and their animals. There's a version in 2008, very good, and another version which was done about 5 yrs ago, which is the one we're watching now.

I'm going to mention that bed-building event to the church-people on Thursday, see if it sparks some ideas for them. They've already been engaged in several more modest projects (the county has about 25 000 inhabitants, so most things are modest in comparison) since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but it's always good to pile on with good examples of good ideas.

Currently, there's a drive for collecting old windows when people replace those with newer ones, plus knitting booties and such for toddlers, and making cloth diapers (the wife's been busy with the last one) from old sheets and blankets.

Big positive post/clip, that one about the beds!

I wonder why no-one ran up to help the police dog. Is that part of some kind of procedure maybe, to not engage until the perp is in the jaws of the law? Well-trained dog anyway. Our police used to train their dogs to savage perps, in the old days (i.e. early 1990s and further back). They wouldn't clamp & drag you down; they'd bite and shake and rip and tear and cause massive wounds, most commonly on the calves or lower arm. Usually, the threat of the riot police squads releasing a dozen 90 pounds each assault dogs was enough to quiet things down.

And if the dogs weren't enough they'd send in the mounted riot squad, and let the horses kick and trample and bite people into submission. Prolly mentioned it before, but in Dad's youth the mounted riot squad still used cavalry sabres, not clubs. Sharp, pointy sabres.

I wonder what today's moslem gangsters and woke climate-catastrophists and trans-pervopedoids would say if they got the old-school treatment... Maybe "Waaah! Muh RiGhTs! I wan't my mommy!".

Anyway - very good dog!

And we've been having a very early Spring! We're almost at Summer-temps (+14C/57F), so it's garden work when it's not the gym or mucking out the compost barrels. Busy, busy.

I am usually not a fan of the music you post. It must be the Lawrence Welk influence. I liked One Toke over the Line.

And dammit, let that cow drink the fresh water!

I have a cold. Haven't had one since 2022. The symptoms started Sunday night. Laryngitis this morning. Irritated nasal pharynx. If all goes according to plan, I won't be able to taste or smell by Wednesday. But I had a very active weekend. Good wine taste Sat. and an in-home concert on Sunday. I guess I'm paying for my thrills. Pawsitivity needed.

Bandit's avatar

Why did you give me your cold, suannee? That's not very nice. 😉😊😋

suannee's avatar

If by giving it to someone, I would have gotten rid of it, I would show no mercy. But,. as I still am suffering from it, I apologize to you.

Bandit's avatar

I hope you feel better soon! 🌺

suannee's avatar

And you. It seems it isn't simply a cold. A friend 1/2 my age got it and was out for 2 weeks. She developed pneumonia. The fatigue is overwhelming. I hope I can steer clear of the pneumonia, but lying around in bed is a sure way to develop it. I'm on day 3 1/4. The hacking is somewhat better, but now other symptoms are kicking in. Are you better?

SimulationCommander's avatar

At least you got the wine tasting in while you could taste it! Hope you get over it quickly!!

suannee's avatar

Still not over it. How long did your last illness last? Just curious. People around here talking about this one tell me they've been under the weather for 3 weeks. I just started week 3. I've gone out a couple times anyway. Fatigue is an issue. Good night.

suannee's avatar

Me too. I'll miss another not as interesting wine taste on Wednesday.

I couldn't get past the first picture without asking if you"ve been pet sitting a dog with no fur!?

SimulationCommander's avatar

I would classify her as fuzzy.

Kathleen Taylor's avatar

Aww. What breed is that?

Bandit's avatar

Some sort of Pittie mix?
