Ugh. And speaking of the border. People really don't have a clue. I spoke to (through an Creole interpreter) a Haitian "migrant" today who just arrived in Merika a couple of weeks ago. He proudly told me he came across the Mexico border. What was I assisting this gentleman with? He qualified for: Food Stamps, Medicaid, and "Free" housing and I was assisting him with making an appointment with his brand new Primary Care Physician. He does not work and, from what I could gather, doesn't have any plans to go to work any time soon. Again... the average American really doesn't have a clue as to what is happening. We are being overrun and bankrupt. But lets just keep playing politics with our future... we know how that solves everything. Sigh.
The exact same thing has been happening in the UK for years, with a conservative government elected for the past 14 years specifically to reduce immigration. Instead, they've had the bare-faced cheek to increase it to the point where the equivalent of the size of Birmingham (Britain's second largest city) arrives in the UK every two years. No equivalent infrastructure to cater for these people is programed, impacting the lives of most of the existing population. Already the capital, London, has seen a reduction of its "indigenous" population to just 30% of the total inhabitants. No sign of much civil unrest yet, just a lot of moaning.
I’m starting to wonder if there’s any point in even covering the legacy media anymore. Seems like it’s playing into their game. It also seems impossible that anyone can actually watch this stuff for more than a few minutes and not come to the conclusion that the news and the uniparty are living in an alternate reality. It’s so exaggerated and ridiculous that I can’t help but think that it’s by design, in so much that they know that no one is really listening anymore so they hope that they can basically still direct the cultural conversation by social media osmosis. A bunch of bots and paid shills just serve up the topic du jour and it’s carried along by normies who glance at their phones during their downtime at their soul sucking employment.
It’s just so lazily slapped together, I remember when state sponsored propaganda used to be marginally well done! Like how the pandemic woke up a whole new group of “conspiracy theorists”, the powers that be would be well served not to make us take a mandatory vacation from civilization anytime soon. Because this time, I’m not sure the majority would come back. Might happen soon anyway, because like that Butker story, it’s all just so forced now while jobs get worse, wages stagnant, and prices continue to rise… maybe I’m just in my own bubble, but I’m finding that people in my own life are mostly over this culture war distraction. Pretty soon there will be no one else to blame but the billionaires… so I guess it’s time for WW3 to “officially” start!
This is exactly it. It's like we're watching two movies on the same screen. On one half, the media tells us how good the economy is and how dangerous Trump is -- on the other half, we Scream about government censorship and the breakdown of the rule of law.
And like I said on another comment, it's OBVIOUS when the talking points go out because the paid influencers all start yammering about the same topic at the same time.
However, I think it's still important to 'watch' the legacy media and highlight exactly how broken they have become. Mockery is a powerful weapon!
I am glad that there are those that sacrifice time and sanity by watching and then commenting, distilling what the legacy media is regurgitating. I just can't.
I'm not personally in favor of telling women they belong barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
As long as they're not girlbossing it up in my company's HR department blathering about whiteness or forcing me to sassy clap for the gays every June, they can be barren and roasting pigeons in an oil drum under an overpass for all I fucking care.
Which, obviously, makes me a more noble and admirable man than Harrison Butker, as I support them making their own choices.
It's hilarious -- and I hope your post is half tounge-in-cheek -- because roughly 75% of the complaints about the speech reference something he never even said. Others are like "LOL you kick a football for a living", which kind of proves Butker's point that family is more important than your job.
It is and it isn't. Ever since James Damore attempted an honest and meaningful conversation about this stuff only to be fired over it and lied about in the media, I may as well support what Butker never actually said. What difference does it make at this point?
The University of California Los Angeles medical school is admitting underqualified racial minorities in the interest of diversity, according to a report in The Washington Free Beacon.
The report, published today, is based on interviews with medical professors and officials, many of whom have knowledge of the admissions process. The Free Beacon also obtained emails and “internal data on student performance.”
A professor said in the article that while there are “good graduates” from UCLA, “a third to a half of the medical school is incredibly unqualified.”
That resonates with me as my current PCP was obviously one of the bottom of the class.
Probably 30 years ago a group of us were discussing doctors. My husband made the observation that half of the doctors graduating had below average grades. Most in the group said, "Oh,no, not my doctor." haha
I love the sarcasm!! That’s how I want to talk to everybody nowadays - especially my newly-crowned Dr. DIL - but mostly I just keep my mouth shut (especially with the DIL!).
Just read everything, um, backwards, makes perfect sense.
So many goodies, but think Comey saying Trump "...didn't work hard enough to corrupt them enough before" and the rest of his backwards speak. Comey, Fauci et al, are worried what will happen if we have a true Justice system.
Regarding David Morens, I found an email from the House subcommittee's pdf release, from late April 2020, that shows Morens was more worried about helping EcoHealth Alliance than he was about covid transmission. At the link I've highlighted where he calls for Peter Daszak to go from NYC to Bethesda for face-to-face meetings with NIH officials. Again, this was in late April 2020.
Did you notice they 'made it political' by suggesting attacks were coming from the right, so the 'experts' should embrace the left to undermine those attacks?
And it's just so obvious when the talking points go out......
Three weeks ago everybody knew the upside-down flag was a symbol of distress -- enter the huge media campaign to declare it's a "insurrectionist symbol".
Three weeks ago nobody cared who Harrison Butker was, but then he was enemy #1.
And yes, I understand the irony of complaining about this on a 'Stack called "Screaming into the Void", but I'd like to think that the government squashing free speech and lying to the American people is a little more important than a flag that was flown 3 years ago.....
Relax SimCom. Renowned expert, Dr. Harry Potter, assured me that this form of sympathetic magic will be banned at the next convocation of the Wizards of Washington.
My kid and I used to joke at least a decade and a half ago about how long Lawrence O'Donnell would stick it out on-air before being certified again and how long it would take for him to return.
Plus ca change, I should have that on auto-fill.
You know how I feel about Trump but I'm settling in right now with a mug o' tea to watch the Bronx rally. Lotsa lotsa people on them networks gonna be swigging Alka Seltzer tonight as he don't actually get a Bronx cheer.
"You know how I feel about Trump but I'm settling in right now with a mug o' tea to watch the Bronx rally. "
Me too! That's why I didn't give this another round of editing. Gonna be a busy weekend with the Trump rally tonight and then the Libertarian convention!
Been having trouble with my hip and lower back, so I really appreciate your intro into the McKenzie Method! Bought it for myself and 2 others for friends and family with other issues. Highly recommend it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
SCA. That is one of the two really true things the French have ever said. If you are going to auto-fill it, use this version so you are completely grammatical.
He made the speech primarily about himself (of course) in his usual abrasive tone. The men who graduated from Morehouse College deserved better. If Trump had delivered this nonsense, the outrage meter would have hit 1000.
I wanted to share this one and the video of Fauci at another graduation, but ran out of room. Instead of making it about the kids, both men instead attacked their political rivals -- Biden in his usual way, and Fauci blabbering about 'misinformation'.
The glue that held the Republic together has lost its strength. It's evident that states or counties are looking to form associations with other like-minded states and counties. Thirteen counties in Oregon have decided to join the Leave Oregon movement and join the state of Idaho, as an example.
This trend is gaining momentum and will become more powerful after the election, where nobody will be happy. The psychological divide is complete; now, we wait for the inevitable physical movement.
"...after the election, where nobody will be happy."
Off topic, but just had to say: This phrase highlights an often neglected aspect of *real* democracy; the outlet of future possibility of change is positively liberating!
Ugh. And speaking of the border. People really don't have a clue. I spoke to (through an Creole interpreter) a Haitian "migrant" today who just arrived in Merika a couple of weeks ago. It's sort of hilarious how Democrats are simultaneously saying the border is a problem but refusing to actually do anything about it.
But according to them, the border wasn't a problem for the last 3 years.........
Couldn't they see the writing on the wall....oh, wait...

Call it a vocational hazard.....
Should be insurance for that.
Too expensive. (I.e. not subsidized, so full costs must be covered honestly!)
Agree OG. I can't force myself to endure any more than a few minutes of the fecal matter deposited by the legacy media. So I don't.
But I do appreciate the brave souls who extract tidbits for my amusement - or dismay.
Well expressed angst!

https://www.thecollegefix.com/shocking-decline-ucla-med-school-prioritized-racial-diversity-leading-to-decline-report-says/

In the spirit of your article, I must say that obviously people who object to this must want to gas the Jews.
It's all such a clown show, isn't it?
Gassing the Jews is actually part of the DNC platform this year.
Awesome response, but...
Clown shows are like politics; Absolutely unavoidable.
"...forcing me to sassy clap for the gays every June..."
Saving this one, in an encrypted file, of course,,,
> Hakeem Jefferies knows how dangerous this is!
Objection! I've seen no evidence that Hakeem Jefferies knows a godsdamned thing.
I love the sarcasm!! That’s how I want to talk to everybody nowadays - especially my newly-crowned Dr. DIL - but mostly I just keep my mouth shut (especially with the DIL!).
At a certain point, you just have to laugh to stop yourself from going insane.
And if it's a lol, then you look insane...
Just read everything, um, backwards, makes perfect sense.
So many goodies, but think Comey saying Trump "...didn't work hard enough to corrupt them enough before" and the rest of his backwards speak. Comey, Fauci et al, are worried what will happen if we have a true Justice system.
If I'm lazy, I read the comments backwards. Hey, that's the way they come up...I'm not lazy or anything...
Who's waiting until tomorrow? Didn't you hear that Trump will be giving a speech in the Bronx tonight! THE BRONX! That's like....Hitler, right?
That racist MF has a minority speaking for him, too! That's basically slavery!
Laughing so hard. As if the article wasn’t fun enough you’re killin’ me Smalls! 🤣🤣
You're RIGHT!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
DID YOU HEAR THAT SONG/
"Hunka Burning Love?"
HE WANTS TO INCENERATE THE JEWS!

Did you notice they 'made it political' by suggesting attacks were coming from the right, so the 'experts' should embrace the left to undermine those attacks?
Yes. I see absolutely zero coverage in the Wall Street Journal of any of the recent covid subcommittee hearings, by the way.
We can't have the public getting upset at the people who lied -- better to keep them upset at the people who saw through the lies........
We have coverage! "What Was Anthony Fauci’s Top Aide Hiding?" https://www.wsj.com/articles/what-was-anthony-faucis-top-aide-hiding-investigation-0d890911?st=qxuy0zk15ydlp73
He's definitely having a rough time sleeping at night -- must not have gotten as paid off as Fauci and the rest of the crew.
It's almost a law that the more trivial and evanescent the issue/event is, the more likely it is to provoke a wave of social media outrage.
And it's just so obvious when the talking points go out......
Three weeks ago everybody knew the upside-down flag was a symbol of distress -- enter the huge media campaign to declare it's a "insurrectionist symbol".

I call that "flag dyslexia"
The whole "attack this person because they did something similar to this other person we don't like" needs to die.

YOU KNOW WHO ELSE CAST SPELLS WITH A WAND?
THAT ONE GUY WHO WE CAN'T MENTION!
Oh ... That was a wand?
I thought ...
Awesome.
Wait...which is the dislexia?
Isn't there a way to interrupt the lamestream-media feeds and inject some of this into the nightly news???

You could have found lots of *them*.
But I could only fit one of them under the email limit :(

So you bought that book I recommended and now you're OK?
"OK" is exactly how I would classify it. Not up and running around, but getting there! :)
Glad to hear it. Bad backs are the sort of non-mortal agonies that can make you wish you were dead.
Been having trouble with my hip and lower back, so I really appreciate your intro into the McKenzie Method! Bought it for myself and 2 others for friends and family with other issues. Highly recommend it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Now autofill that...
My hero! Keyboard tricks are not my strength!
"Plus ca change, I should have that on auto-fill."
Just had to say, that's some entertaining writing, right there.
It's enough to make you scream!
Hilarious stuff, SimComm!
I really despise liberals like the ones you’ve highlighted here. Liars, posers and thieves!
