Cops told kids at Texas school to 'yell if you need help.' When one did, the gunman came over and shot her, another student says
"When the cops came, the cop said: 'Yell if you need help!' And one of the persons in my class said 'help.' The guy overheard and he came in and shot her," the boy told KENS 5. "The cops barged into that classroom. The guy shot at the cops. And the cops started shooting."
Oof. (Though it is possible it was the gunman himself yelling)
Police also revealed there were a series of harrowing 911 calls from several students while they were barricaded inside with the gunman — with one kid pleading with a 911 dispatcher “please send police now!” The calls were taking place until moments before Ramos was killed, showing that people were still alive in the class even though authorities believed the killing had stopped.
If they’re getting 911 calls from kids in the room, then the authorities KNOW THE KILLING HADN’T STOPPED. Unless the 911 operator doesn’t talk to the police?
Edit to add timeline of 911 calls:
The public has tons of questions about how this was handled, but the police know the magic words to get out of answering any question:
"Shimon, we will circle back with you. we will answer all your questions. We wanna give you the 'why.' That's our job, so give us time. I'm taking all your questions. I'm taking them back to talk to the team," Escalon responded.
Meanwhile in Buffalo, people are starting to ask some very interesting questions about the involvement of an ex-federal agent.
It’s worse than it sounds:
Law enforcement officers are investigating whether a retired federal agent had about 30 minutes advance notice of a white supremacist's plans to murder Black people at a Buffalo supermarket, two law enforcement officials told The Buffalo News.
Authorities believe the former agent – believed to be from Texas – was one of at least six individuals who regularly communicated with accused gunman Payton Gendron in an online chat room where racist hatred was discussed, the two officials said.
Given the track record of the federal government in instigating plots they can then shut down (the Whitmer case being the most recent), any sort of hint at federal encouragement should be investigated thoroughly — and not by the federal government.
And in the least surprising event of the year, both Jay Inslee and his Lt. Governor have covid. They are both quintuple jabbed and still parroting the company line:
“I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I’m working from home and experiencing mild but unpleasant symptoms, similar to a bad head cold,” said Heck, 69, in a statement. “I’m glad to be vaccinated and double-boosted. I know my symptoms could be much worse if I wasn’t vaccinated, and I urge everyone eligible for a booster shot to go and get one.”
“I am experiencing very mild symptoms and am most glad I’m vaccinated and boosted,” Inslee, 71, said.
No word on if either will take another booster.
By 12:03 p.m., at least 19 officers had gathered in the hallway near the classroom. The Border Patrol tactical unit arrived at the school between noon and 12:10 p.m., but the Uvalde Police Department prevented these officers from storming the classroom until just before 1:00 p.m.
---------
According to the timeline I just added, a student was talking with the 911 operator multiple times between 12:03 and 12:51 when the room is stormed. At 12:16 she SPECIFICALLY SAYS there are 8 or 9 students alive in the classroom.
At 12:21 you can hear shots on the 911 call, obviously in-hallway police could hear them as well.
THE OFFICERS STILL STOOD OUTSIDE THE FUCKING DOORWAY FOR THIRTY MORE MINUTES.
They never seem to have a problem going in guns blazing on a no-knock in the middle of the night, though.
The Uvalde School District police chief seems like a grimly classic example of the Peter Principle.
I must say, and with zero inflection of humor, that an awful lot of people down there need to be sent to the harakiri room to finish their business.
I read these discussions, in cyberhell, with the elite class talking about raising the age of legal ownership for certain firearms, and I think of those stories one reads, from time to time, of a, say, 13-year-old saving the household because he knew how to use a gun/rifle/semi-automatic accurately and efficiently, and I think the inability of a great many people to understand that though they may have Kohler touchless faucets in their gorgeous homes, life is as raw and brutal as it ever was and being trained in how to save yourself and your family comes, maybe, before soccer lessons.
