One of the key tenets in American governance is the ability to hold our ‘leaders’ accountable for their actions, typically through the ballot box. Sadly, the people who have upended life around the world are not only NOT being held accountable, they are STILL in positions of authority and STILL ‘spreading misinformation’. Take a look at this recent interview with CDC Director Walensky.
First of all, it’s terrifying that Walensky apparently gets her news from CNN. Even worse is the idea that ‘being hopeful’ is a reason to tell the American people the vaccine is the way out of the pandemic and fire them if they don’t get it. Somehow EVEN WORSE is the complete lie that nobody could have seen the vaccine ‘wearing off’, or not effective against a variant.
But since the lie is politically helpful, it is allowed to stand without question. This is where a real media would be incredibly useful. The ‘leaders’ haven’t had to answer difficult questions since Trump was run out of Washington DC. I have zero doubt that Fauci and his ilk would be exposed as frauds within 30 minutes of REAL questioning. (That’s probably why it never happens)
Politics is still clearly the reason that Seattle is still masking kids to go to school, even after the state’s mandate ends next week. Is Seattle the worst city in the world at healthcare? (maybe) Are Seattle kids at increased risk compared to the rest of the world? Doesn’t look like it to me:
But their virtue signaling is more important than the children in the schools. They cling to the mantle of “The Science”, while actual science in the real world shows there was never a reason to close schools or put students in masks. They don’t care because it was never about safety to begin with — it was about political science under the cover of Anthony Fauci and those like him.
Speaking of Fauci, the suspiciously absent ringleader of the entire circus resurfaced recently on the Woke AF podcast, STILL slinging the idea that it was your responsibility to society to get the vaccine and stop the spread.
This is almost a year after CDC Director Walensky went on Maddow and claimed that vaccinated people don’t carry the virus — a claim they nearly immediately had to retract. If covid misinformation is so dangerous, can we at least stop the highest-paid government employee from repeating it?
In that clip, Fauci talks about a responsibility to society to not allow the virus to spread. Although I don’t view it as an obligation and instead think it’s a personal choice, I happened to agree. That’s why as a low-risk individual I immediately set out to get covid so I could isolate and get over it, thus becoming somebody incapable of allowing the virus to spread. (It took me nearly 20 months anyway!) You’ll note this is the one thing that our entire response has discouraged. (Starting with the fiction that everybody is at equal risk)
And how easy it is to pivot from a responsibility to stop a virus to a responsibility to pay more for food and gas!
The higher prices for food and gas showed up long before Putin invaded Ukraine. The establishment is attempting to link the two things so they can be held blameless for their terrible monetary policy which drove up inflation long before last week.
It’s like these people think we don’t have access to the internet.
And if you watched the State of the Union, you know Biden’s plan to lower prices involves giving huge piles of money to the government. This will work to lower prices exactly as well as it’s worked so far.
Before we can hold these officials accountable, we have to be able to AT LEAST agree on the fact that they are lying. Luckily for us, they can’t seem to help themselves — and every day more and more people are waking up to the idea that our health officials are just as slimy as our politicians.
I expect govts to lie. That's normal--unfortunately. But I really didn't expect the entire liberal set of this nation to not only willingly, but eagerly abandon their duty of care for their children to earn approval from others. There's no word sufficient in our language to express what I feel about that.
But I guess Western society's been primed for it for a very long time. People admire Kierkegaard's "Fear and Trembling" as an elegant examination of faith and ethics, and Abraham is the founding hero of three faiths, but anyone with actual normal real parental instincts should revile Abraham and consign him to the hottest spot in God's great tandoor in the sky. The only appropriate response to anyone asking you to sacrifice your children for faith is "fuck that shit." This should apply in all circumstances and for every era and every culture on earth.
It's very concerning that the monsters in charge may get away yet again. It's frustrating as heck and I feel pretty powerless to do anything about it. The corruption is so deep all the way from Klaus Schwab to state health "officials" to most of the courts that I am having a very hard time mustering any hope that we'll see justice in our lifetime, if ever. Even more frustrating is that we *know* that legal arrests, trials and just punishments are the only way to hinder these monsters from continuing their evil and diabolical schemes and plans. I am not a follower, but am also not a very effective leader myself, but I would be 100% supportive in any way humanly possible to someone who would rise up with courage and integrity and take these despots to task. I think the number one thing we *absolutely can not* let happen is to let ourselves become distracted AGAIN and let the last 2 years (and longer, but especially the last 2 yrs) be swept under the carpet. I, for one, will NOT let this go and plan to remind everyone I can of the felonious acts that have taken place until my dying breath.
