It would be prohibitively difficult to try to separate those hospitalized for covid and those who incidentally tested positive upon admission, just as it is too technologically difficult to actually provide the numbers of the former who received a vaccine on a publicly-accessed website. Anyway, it's indisputably more scientific to simply say things like, "you are 32 times more likely to be hospitalized if you haven't received the Magic Potion."
I live in Marin County and am one of the few Vax Free residents :) My Vax Free son currently has Covid along with all of his Vax'd friends. They are all experiencing it similarly (very mild, cold like). Most of my Vax'd and Boosted friends have it, but I can't seem to catch it to save my life. I've been trying to honestly figure out the reason why they are suddenly making this concession. One thought that just occurred: perhaps the numbers with Omi are just becoming SO bad that even they can't deny they've done a terrible job. So, what if we change HOW we count and now magically our interventions work!
I'm pretty sure it has to do with collapsing poll numbers, but that is because the lies are so obvious now. Half the country is wide open going to football games and bars, and they are doing no worse than the half the country with vax passes and restrictions. By now everybody knows somebody with all the jabs who still got covid.
By the way, many of us were predicting this exact scenario earlier this year -- the failure of the vaccines would be obvious as it failed to contain the winter surge. Once again, the seasonality theorists are right on the money.
I feel like they are being pulled in two directions - one direction is political. They need to win and they can't win harping on covid. (They also may need mail-in to win, thus dragging out the whole thing)
The other direction is toward Big Pharma, who wants everybody to get as many jabs as possible and doesn't care about the fallout - because that will be on the politicians.
If we want to add in the WEF/vax pass group to that, there's ANOTHER direction pulling on the sleeves on Biden & Co.
Funny how every triple-vaxxed politician who gets COVID has "mild symptoms" and is "grateful" for the vaccine. At some point, the brazen repetition of talking points has got to be counter-productive. Comedians could really make some hay out of it.
