Awww to the kitties. I went on my one trip in 2022 to Washington to the Olympic Peninsula and Snoqualmie. Beautiful, rain soaked, pretty cold. Got covid. No shots. Got over it in about 6 days and actually went on the walks in the woods that I had scheduled. My vaxxed, boosted 11-year-younger friend got covid and ended up in bed for 3 days. So there you are, proof positive of something or other.
Ed Dowd is one of my heroes, but he was wrong on one of his major predictions about “excess deaths.” There’s no way this scandal could ever be “exposed.” Put it this way, in 16-plus months, no mainstream news organizations has run a major story on war-type death numbers.
But you will still post thoughts, and observations right? So much is going on and it will only get more interesting as this year blends into next year. Plus this seems to be rather a healthy group in terms of thoughts and deeds.
If you're driving, be sure to gas up before entering WA state. You probably heard that Inslee signed off on a carbon cap scheme that has resulted in oil/gas companies passing on a 30+cent/gallon price increase. This will definitely help all the poor people that the one-party state claims to care so much about.
Such nice kitties - you're sure going to miss all of them! So will I. So please keep us up to date if possible! Bonnie looks a lot like my Chloe, who looks about 9-10 mos. old but will be 17 in August. She's my avatar photo. Persephone is about 12. If I can dig up good photos, I'll put them on my stack.
My favorite cousins live in Seattle & Kirkland. They love the weather but dislike the same things the rest of us do about Washington. I haven't been up there since '98. K and her husband have been here for Balloon Fiesta several times.
Substack has rolled out so many bells and whistles that I avoid most of them. I just like to rant periodically but I'm not really much of a blogger. There are some great people on here and that's more important to me than being able to warp the ship out of orbit at the least provocation!
Good travels and will be waiting for your next news!
I hoping to get regular updates and videos, which I will most assuredly pass along. We may even meet a new friend or two -- those are the rumors swirling around up north.
I really didn’t realize how brindle colored Bonnie is. Boy, she sure looks sleek and has a beautiful coat. She’s turned into quite the lover, hasn’t she! Love seeing the 2 of them.
I've thought about that sometimes as well. It's neat to have back-and-forth paid subs, but all we're really doing is giving Substack and Stripe a buck each. (I have no problem with Substack's part, but Stripe has crazy fees.)
SC - B&G are looking for you already.

In canada we are clapping that gas costs so much more! We love it and the knock on increase in the cost of everything else!

Lovely coda! (Because you are carrying on, just elsewhere!) Safe journey -

Looking forward to the good stuff and new friends!

She is absolutely adorable, and a mighty hunter of grasshoppers as well!
That’s gonna come in real handy when we’re all eating bugs! If you can just train her to fetch, and not eat!
That's funny!
Yes to “Substack”,,,, I noticed this on....Facebook! I had typed Dubstack... so I started over..S..u..nothing!

On the other hand, I’ve found some great new substacks this way. I guess it’s a bit of a double edged sword.
