On Friday night, Part 6 of The Twitter Files was released by Matt Taibbi, and it was the most powerful round of revelations yet. Subscribers should have received a cross-post authored by Brad at Euphoric Recall with his awesome readable unroll (He's got all releases of Twitter Files here!) a few minutes before this post, and it’s advised to familiarize yourself with the contents of the dump before reading this article, which is an overview of all six parts of The Twitter Files.
Apologies for the (unprecedented?) break between parts I and II of “When Incentives Go Wrong”, but with the release of Twitter Files 6: Sextuple Trouble, the time is right to write about the wrongs perpetrated by the no-shit fascism (collusion between big government and big biz) that pervades American discourse.
First, I want to post something I wrote in an article about Joe Biden and his “MAGA Republicans are a danger” claim:
And — wouldn’t you know it? — that’s exactly what we find when we look into The Twitter Files. The FBI (and other government and quasi-government agencies) have indeed been working behind the scenes to shape the allowable debate in America. And while most of Twitter was enthusiastically on board with this civil rights violation, there was a smattering of dissent from inside the company, including this:
Yet……..that’s exactly what these people were doing. Trust and Safety head Yoel Roth even joked about how he had to use ‘generic’ meeting names to cover the fact that he’s regularly meeting with the FBI. (If everything was so above-board, why hide the meetings in the first place?)
In addition to regular meetings, Roth exchanged over 150 emails with the FBI between January 2020 and November 2022. Many look like this one:
Note that the FBI doesn’t even allege the speech is illegal or part of an investigation or anything like that — they’re basically ‘tattling’ to Twitter about ‘possible’ violations of the Terms of Service. In what world do 80 FBI agents have the time to sit around and play hall monitor for the completely legal speech of Americans on social media?
And when events dictate, Twitter employees LITERALLY sit in chat rooms and causally decide what people can and can’t see.
Notice that even for this post — “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.” — employees are desperately looking for any excuse to punish Trump.
PEOPLE MIGHT SAY THIS IS PROOF HE DOESN’T SUPPORT A PEACEFUL TRANSISTION!
Oh, so THAT’S the line, is it? As long as people might say something, we can just kick the President of the United States out of the town square? Rachel Maddow will claim that Donald Trump is a Russian asset — does that make it true?
But that line is a hint at the overall attitude of Twitter’s employees:
Trump isn’t breaking the rules, but maybe he’s TALKING IN CODE! So they float the idea to maybe run a survey to ‘prove’ he’s talking in code?
“I WORRY ABOUT HOW THAT WOULD BE PERCIEVED EXTERNALLY.”
They know they’re reaching.
Here they discuss interpreting “American Patriots” as “violent rioters” in order to punish Trump for his tweet. And even when one of their own mentions how this is incredibly dangerous censorship, the hive mind has already settled on the “dangerous to democracy” narrative pushed by Biden.
There’s something deeply ironic about how one of the only people to speak up against censorship is from China…….
I highly encourage everybody to read all of The Twitter Files — I’ve only touched on a few of the revelations here. And while you’re reading, remember — this isn’t just about Twitter. The censorship is going on at every large media outlet, on every single story of the day.
That’s why you read more about the ‘biggest’ stories of the day on a tiny ‘Stack like this one than in the entire MSM put together. The Twitter Files prove what I’ve been writing about for months (see victory lap below), covid is ramping up across the country exactly as predicted by the ‘seasonality theorists’, vaccine data continues to look worse and worse, and the official 1/6 narrative is set to fall apart when Republicans take control of the House in January.
All these stories “missed” by the media that’s bleeding employees by the thousands, yet caught by me and my cat. (Of course, that’s not a surprise because the media is bought off)
So tonight, I’m taking a victory lap — posting 10 previous articles highlighting the malfeasance of the FBI in my year of writing on Substack. (I think that puts me 10 ahead of the entire MSM!)
Before I do that, though, I know you’re all waiting for this article’s cat pic! Today I happen to dovetail nicely with gato malo, who posted this in his meme thread:
Not bad, but everybody knows when it hits the fan, you’re going to want a partner who’s willing to trap your enemies in a box so he can torture them again tomorrow.
Victory lap articles, in no particular order:
The highlighted text in your own past speculation is frighteningly prescient.
You're either perceptive as hell or haven't yet been outed in the Twitter files as a "former" FBI agent and are just enjoying the party until the guillotine finally drops in Round 18 or so. ;o)
I still want to know why 45 had a change of “heart” regarding declassifying and releasing the files on JFKs death. That’s the exact truth bomb we need to reveal the FBI and CIA for what they really are. I’ve never heard Tucker discuss who killed JFK, but I lived in Dallas from 2012 to 2015. One, spend a few hours in the Book Depository , you’ll leave unsettled with the narrative. Two, discuss the event with anyone over 75 and they all concur that “we” killed him.
