Earlier this week, hundreds of California students walked out of class in protest of mask mandates. The government’s response? The next day, they locked maskless kids in the gym without heat. (Photos in thread)

Clearly this is about student safety.
Earlier this week I reported about the Canadian trucker convoy’s GoFundMe being frozen, as well as Nova Scotia ‘banning’ the protest by making it illegal. Today, those two things have combined, and GoFundMe has suspended the fundraiser entirely by claiming the protest is involved in illegal activity. Originally GoFundMe was going to ‘donate’ the money to ‘credible charities’, but after a huge backlash, the company now says it will automatically return all donations.
This is an extremely troubling development. If the government can simply declare any protest ‘illegal’ and shut down all support, how do Canadians express their right to protest the government? Fortunately, the Freedom Convoy is now receiving donations from https://www.givesendgo.com/FreedomConvoy2022/donate, though the website is slowed to a crawl due to massive traffic (and a possible DDOS attack).
Spotify censorship update: Now Barack Obama is threatening to leave Spotify unless Joe Rogan is censored. But is this surprising? Also, it seems like a great time to post this reminder about what Obama was up to during the pandemic:
Finally, mixed news out of Chicago! Covid hospitalizations have continued their massive drop, coming in at 538 in the most recent update. That’s fewer than the 619 of late December, and the data is trending in the right direction. That’s the good news. The bad news? Lori Lightfoot states the vax pass could be lifted ‘in a few weeks’, a far cry from the original goalposts:
The Public Health Order will remain in effect until the City of Chicago is through this Omicron-driven surge and the risk of overwhelming hospital capacity has passed.
Remember: When politicians take power, they don’t willingly release it.
its funny these lefties were all happy to be on Spotify with R Kelly
The GoFundMe cancellation may work to the Truckers benefit as they have switched to GiveSendGo and reportedly have already received 1.1 million. More people will likely get behind the truckers for this.
