Loved all the food sharing stories on here, so here is mine.
This is the first year that I have ever made a whole turkey. I air fried it in the delux size nuwave oven. The turkey was already gutted, which was my biggest concern while waiting for it to thaw. Was not looking forward to scooping guts out.
I went simple, I rubbed the entire outside with melted butter, and stuffed the cavity with a cabbage ball filled with chopped onions, celery, butter, s&p, rosemary and a honeycrisp apple. (This atuffing is meant to be thrown away as it gets over cooked being in the airfryer for almost 4 hours.)
Everything turned out delicious. The apple was the only flavor I noticed in the meat.
I also did things backwards. I made the turkey last friday, and my dog and I just finished the last of the 14lb bird yesterday(so many sandwiches) . Today I had a vegetarian thanksgiving with my mom and her hubby.
I still need a nap after and there is no tryptophan to blame it on!
Thank-you! I'm with Amy ours is 22 lbs... just come on by. Maybe bring a side if you are able but don't let that stop you. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE... AND SC (you and yours).
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Or Happy Gives-thanking, as a character in a favorite book put it. I am having a bit of a sit-down after turning a leftover chicken into chicken salad and bone broth, cleaning up after dinner, and making the pumpkin pies. We "butchered" a large pumpkin a few days ago - the pumpkin puree tastes so much better!
SimCom, thank you for all your efforts throughout the year, we are grateful for your postings, both serious and funny. We look forward to seeing your emails pop-up, whether they engender an ARRRRRGH or hearty guffaw! Many blessings to you and yours!
Happy Thanksgiving to all. But especially to Dave aka Geezerman. I think we determined once upon a post that I'm an older Geezer than you. I was in your position about 5 years ago. I made a turkey anyway & froze what I didn't eat.
I am going to some folks for the traditional dinner. She has invited more than 20 people. They are mostly "woke". I hope they don't decide to virtue signal. A person I enjoy socializing with more is having Thanksgiving Saturday. A lot of her relatives will be there. She may serve a symbolic amount of turkey, but it'll probably be mostly steak. But lots of pie.
P.S. It occurred to me while watching the videos that dogs are mostly mouth breathers while cats breathe through their noses. That may be why cats live longer?? I'm constantly told you will be healthier if you stop mouth breathing. Of course, if you do, you better substitute nose breathing. lol
Thanks. With more than 20 people, it worked out Ok. I brought a friend who has never met any of the people before. He's a really nice person 1/2 my age. I think of me as his abuela. The food was great. Over the top really.
Exhausted and just hit the sack. Cleaned the whole house today, finishing with the kitchen. Didn't prep what I'd intended.
Set the alarm for 6... It's gonna be a bountiful meal tomorrow with 4 waves of cooking: BIG pan of cornbread in the am with bacon &eggs, prepping the apple&sage dressing. Then while b'fast cleanup is done, assembly of sides (the usual yums). Turkey in. Then spiral ham into oven. Then make horsey doovers.
Dinner at 3-4ish...
Y'all are welcome tomorrow (kinda like that neon bar sign: "free beer tomorrow.")
Adorable sleepy cats, I get a daily dose of all year long! 😁👍 But, the minute I go to bed for the night, there's always one or more trouble makers. However, I'm going to finally binge season 3 of the Foundation series on Apple TV. Way back, I read the entire Isaac Asimov series of books. So, I'm a big fan. Apple has done a pretty good job on the TV series.
Thanks for the videos, looking forward to checking them out. Today I made fudge for my boyfriend’s son’s family Thanksgiving. He and I are going out for a quiet dinner together here in San Diego but he’ll drop off the fudge for me tomorrow. I’ve been dealing with diverticulitis for almost 3 weeks now and hoping I can eat a little turkey and mashed potatoes tomorrow. 🙏🏻. Best news today is my son is being offered a seasonal job at Target. He’s a software developer but has been out of work for a year now despite hundreds of applications. I pray that he is thankful for landing at least this opportunity, so he’ll have money coming in while he continues his search. Praise God! Happy Thanksgiving, all!
Not a Thanksgiving topic, but a bunch of Justice news releases on the Somali Feeding Our Future fraud in Minnesota are here:

Crazy how the media "missed" that during the last election.
Whoa! That's crazy.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Oh wait, now I get it!.
In unrelated news I found an AI cat video that you might like. The teaser? “It's midnight, no more didgeridoo!”

excellent analysis on breathing.
This is one thing we must endure in these days we are living in, the woke and doing their silly self affirming nonsense. I offer you courage!

yes we have watched two seasons of foundation... I thought we recently watch season 3.
Okay, it is on the list.
At present we are finishing up Slow Horses.
I want more SILO.... kind of.
And maybe a silly new pile of episodes of Resident Alien would be nice.
Nothing quite like a kitty’s suede nose, and a silver one is extra special! Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you peeps.
SimCom, you are the best. thank you for these happy videos. I love all of them.
The kitties are my favorite but I like all of the videos.
I hope all of you have a nice time with people that make you happy.
Hubbs and I are driving to Maryland of the commies 40 mins away, to my sister. I do love her.
She is a bit kooky but wonderful.
The holidays are kind of sucking this year... just all of the shitty shit and family shit.
I am exhausted and bummed, but I am lucky and fortunate to have a very supportive hubbers.
HEYYY I am really glad and happy to have all of you frenz.
Try not to eat too much, unless it is pie, or potatoes, or ham. or rolls, or turkey or stuffing.
Cookies, restrain yourselves.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🤗🤗🤗
Happy Thanksgiving, Bandit!

Maybe tomorrow I can stop working for long enough to have a nice meal with my husband. Man, I need those de-stressing baby animal videos, so thanks!
