Yesterday I read this article in a April 2017 National Geographic. It is titled Beyond Human, and as I read it I just couldn't help but see how the ideas for this 'improved human' have evolved up to this day....The tagline for the article is LIKE ANY OTHER SPECIES WE ARE THE PRODUCT OF YEARS OF EVOLUTION NOW WE ARE TAKING MATTERS INTO OUR OWN HANDS The article is a crazy read on today, and begins on page 46 of this pdf of the magazine.
At least in 2017 NatGeo wasn't so woke. I do so enjoy them, but they need a serious rethink. We can agree we need to reduce fossil fuel use, but differ on the time scales needed.
thanks HH, yes, that whole NG mindset was set up as an explorer mindset originally...then, perhaps they made it a naturalist mindset....but still, looking far away instead of close to home...I no longer take vacations...except in my backyard! best and thanks
