(Note for new subscribers: On Monday, I recap some of the positive stories/funny memes I’ve come across in the last week. Feel free to add your own in the comments!)
Before we get started on today’s positivity post, I want to say a big THANK YOU to the best Substack community out there! Screaming into the Void recently passed 6,000 regular subscribers (a couple weeks ago, but I held off until I was sure we’d stay there), marking another awesome milestone on this crazy journey! I hope that you guys enjoy our time together as much as I do!
Also sort of related, thank you for your well wishes (and the Medihoney!) over the last couple weeks! I’m feeling much better (though I’m not sure if I’ll ever be “fine” again), and am ready to “cover” this week’s debate. (If it happens.)
Let’s get to the meat!
Though I’ve always been more of a Gordon Deitrich than a V. (Remember how he went out?)

A casual reminder:
This is Sam. Sam is 7 and is recovering from brain cancer. Earlier this year he set up a lemonade stand to try to raise money to attend the Phillies’ opening day game. On the other side of the camera is professional happiness spreader Zachery Dereniowski, who’s about to make Sam’s day in a big way. Onion alert!
I normally don’t condone violence…..but sometimes it has its place……
Another casual reminder:
Mom, he followed me home! Can I keep him?
I guess not 😞
And today we close with a video of a man just ducking around…..
For once, autocorrect got it right!
