Well, I watched the whole thing this afternoon, and as expected, Smith for the win! Cuomo is such a a pathetic lying POS, and he didn't disappoint on this either. The clips were awesome, proving Cuomo lying through his teeth, it Everytime he opened his mouth practically. His multiple refusals to apologize too, very telling. Cuomo's an elitist, and he thinks we are all just stupid hicks. And as Dennis Pragar often says:

"Leftist completely lack any self awareness, what so ever!" Otherwise, they'd have some shame for being such despicable people.

I watched the whole thing, just to see Smith embarrass Cuomo! He did a fine job of that too.

Re: cat screaming...we have what are called "Fischer Cats" around us here in the northeast. While generally fairly shy around human habitats, they have been known to go after smaller dogs. I've seen them a few times on our property. They move, sorta like crosses between a groundhog/otter/big cat.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisher_(animal) (yeah, wokipedia...but most articles like this are usually good)

To point. Their calls sound like a very young child...screaming.

I keep thinking I'm hearing them more and more often. Or is that just echoes?

How the eff do folks like Cuomo think they can pretend they didn't act like judgmental authoritarian c@#ts when it's as plain to see and we have it on video. They were ginning up that animosity towards people who rightly refused to be guinea pigs. Are they really that delusional? Or do they think we're not taking this seriously?

Mistakes were not made. These f@#$ers can go rot in hell.

i have never liked him. i don't understand his appeal. i certainly believe that he thinks he's the smartest kid on the block. i've had heard him as a guest on rogan, peter attia, triggernometry and a few other podcasts. i slogged through those interviews but didn't much enjoy them. i listened to his podcast only once when he talked to eric topol and tried to justify his deplorable behavior to bret weinstein and heather heying. i had had great respect for topol which i lost for all time after hearing his conversation with harris.

totally true. if you go back to peter attia's podcast when topol was the guest, they talked seriously about how topol was targeted by the drug company when he blew the whistle on VIOXX. he said there were cars parked outside his house, he got death threats, his phone was tapped, he lost his job.

then suddenly, when it happens to someone else he can't see it. the vaccine is a miracle, drug companies are saviors, everyone who doesn't take it is a murderer and Bret Weinstein is evil. talk about hypocrisy!

and- i recently listened to a triggernometry where eric weinstein AND sam harris were the guests (not a fan of eric W either) but harris seems to have doubled down on his resentment of bret W for being right. he turns himself into knots to justify his position ("bret was right but at the wrong time" and "if only more children had died, we would accept police breaking down our doors and force vaccinating us"). i mean the most stupid deranged things i've almost ever heard!!

he actually said- in front of eric W- that he had always thought of bret W as a very ethical person but now he KNOWS that he is completely unethical and he "killed" listeners of his podcast by talking negatively about the vaccine. these are pretty strong accusations to be hurling around.

i listened to TWIV for a 2 years and somehow they never influenced me to consider the vaccine, even though they were about as pro-vaxx as it gets. i had never even heard of bret weinstein. i decided not to take the covid vaccine (and every other vaccine) in 1976 when my cousin's wife spent a year in a wheelchair after taking the swine flu vaccine. you don't forget something like that!

bret weinstein had absolutely NO influence on my decision. i started listening to him because he provided a refuge for me in a world gone mad.

sam harris just amplifies the insanity! he also said that glenn greenwald was totally unethical. it was shocking actually

To answer your (rhetorical?) questions in order:

"It was for the greater good. We followed the science. We used procedure as laid down by the experts."

They are not delusional in their own social context; in the circles they move in all they here is confirmation that they did good and right.

They think we take this too seriously; to them, nothing much happened that is worth arguing about. Compare it to a burglar: "Hey, I only took some small things and I jimmied the lock open instead of breaking windows, so stop griping."

Agree in full with your last sentence.

Over and over, Cuomo talked about how the 'first two' variants of covid were different and the shot worked against them -- but by the time the jabs were widely available, the "Delta wave" (#variant 2) was happening (exactly when and where we said it would, btw) and "breakthrough infections" started being a thing.

I maintain that the "Delta variant" was simply the excuse for vaccine failure. And at that time, vaccine failure meant it didn't stop you from getting covid in variant #2.

Random NYT article from July 2021 talking about the delta variant and breakthrough infections -- LONG before vax mandates.
