Another awesome post that I look forward to each week. My dog likes to come lay under my baby grand piano when I play. Funny thing is that is about the worst place to be because it is so loud under there.

From the clip I have concluded that my dog must not be a dog. She does not like to play with tennis balls. But on the other hand, she knows every smell in the yard and even beyond I am sure.

Rats LOL. Yes I think we already pay for them

Haha baseball is the best!! … but those videos…… were fantastic, each and everyone! Thanks 😊

That was, indeed, a *very* tiny bunny.

That's a nice coop, high and dry you could say. Are there any animals where you live that might dig under the chain link wall? If so, you might consider covering the three or four feet closest with paving slabs of something else that is heavy and "undiggable".

Or large enough planters, or whatever you have on hand that looks nice.

That deer video - am I the only one grumbling "drop the effing camera you ------ and help your pal!"? Still, good on the hunters setting an example and doing the right thing.

Positive here is, we're rid of the snow.

Again.

On Friday (called Långfredagen in Swedish, means Long Friday) it started snowing, and it kept up until Sunday afternoon. Then, yesterday (Monday) four to five inches of snow melted before noon.

And the first flowers, crocus, could be seen as the snow melted. They had started blooming while still covered by snow.

Inspiring.

Awesome as usual. Thanks for the laughs and insights into how humans and animals intercept with each other.

Nice coup.

SimulationCommander's avatar

It's certainly much more elaborate than originally planned, and probably not done yet...

James David's avatar

I need to do that. My birds are getting a rebuild this year. Where did you get the tall hoops?

SimulationCommander's avatar

Not sure what you mean, but it's all been a combination of people getting rid of THEIR chicken stuff or just the local farm store.

James David's avatar

I haven't seen hoops quite like that. You mean to say you just stuck some together, I assume. I'll try that.

I thought perhaps you found a supplier. Try and keep the metal unburied. It'll corrode fast around birds.

SimulationCommander's avatar

Sorry I'm not up with the chicken lingo yet, I thought you meant the little hoops the birds play with sometimes. The structure itself was a kit.

The cat needs a turret with at least a .22 for sniping...

The bear should give up on dumpsters and eat the locals instead. Commie is on the menu...

SimulationCommander's avatar

"Commie is on the menu..."

And plentiful these days

James David's avatar

And most of them are fat!

You know... That's the cure. If the commies really had communism they wouldn't be fat for very long. It would be splendid to see huge cohorts of fat painted tinted tattooed leftwing women suddenly put on the "Soviet diet"... Now that's the way to create real rage...

Instead of no Kings let them deal with no Cheetos...

James David's avatar

Give the windsurfer a Darwin... And the whale the ears of the surfer...

Lots of good ones! I'm a little concerned about your lovely chicken coop though. The bottom edge doesn't look secure at all. Raccoons are very likely to dig right under and snatch up your girls! I had some for a while and that's what they did. ☹️

Warmek's avatar

Or foxes, or coyotes...

SimulationCommander's avatar

Noted! I'll double-check it tomorrow.

I think the deer was playing possum hoping the guys would leave, but when they didn’t follow the rules he just said screw it. But I’m city folk, so what do I know. Either way, well done, bro

Baltimoracle's avatar

SC , glad you seem to be feeling better today

Rosemary B's avatar

I really like your chicken coop. It is really nice.

E. Grogan's avatar

Yes - and the fencing is a great idea, looks like a good way to keep foxes, etc. out of the coop!

SimulationCommander's avatar

Or smaller, more agile felines....

*looks at G*

E. Grogan's avatar

LOL. I understand EXACTLY what you're talking about. Felines gives us endless hours of entertainment.

Rosemary B's avatar

Wow… the wolf, the kitties, Gs new bowl, the deer, wow, the bear, so much winning

SimulationCommander's avatar

Glad you enjoyed it!

Another week of great stuff! I was very happy to see the hunter helping out the deer, it looked like a 2 year old with those little tines. There’s a lot of cruel people out there and I’m always heartened by the kindness of strangers.

The coyote playing around was great too. But anything with animals is great in my book!

alexei's avatar

Kudos to the guy giving mouth to mouth to that deer - it could NOT have been an enjoyable experience!

And could you let us know if the windsurfer survived his ordeal or became lunch for the whale?

SimulationCommander's avatar

Everybody was fine!

"Kramer had already slowed down after spotting whales nearby, but the animal surfaced directly in his path anyway. Both survived, which isn’t always the case when windsurfers collide with surfacing whales."

Brian DeLeon's avatar

Were Jerry and George filming Kramer while he was windsurfing?
