(Note for new subscribers: On Monday, I recap some of the positive stories/funny memes I’ve come across in the last week. Feel free to add your own in the comments!)
Somehow it’s already Monday, which means another dose of pawsitivity! I know you’ve been waiting patiently……….or maybe NOT so patiently.
Because in life, it’s important to help out your friends whenever you can:
So today I present the story of Chhouk, an 11-year-old elephant in Cambodia. Chhouk lost his foot in a snare when he was young, but thanks to the Wildlife Alliance in Cambodia and the Paradise Wildlife Park in the UK, Chhouk is regularly (about every 6 months) fitted with a giant prosthetic foot, allowing the pachyderm to walk, run, swim, and generally do regular pachyderm stuff. Take a look at how Chhouk puts on his “boot” and what it allows him to do!
I do love a good comeback story.
And no comeback story beats Tim Scott’s. A couple weeks ago I shared a video of Joy Behar (of “The View”) explaining how the GOP presidential nominee doesn’t “get it” when it comes to systemic racism in this country.
Today, Scott fired back — directly from the set of “The View.” (Behar was nowhere to be seen — weird.)
If the video isn’t quite enough, check out the responses on this Twitter thread. (Bonus points if you know before clicking that “The View” is accused of “becoming FOX”. How DARE they allow a Republican to speak!)
Odds of Scott being invited back are somehow negative.
You’ve got a busy week in front of you, better hop to it!
Sorry to be like the opposition and not want to watch stuff that I disagree with or that angers me, but watching the View at all for any reason, except if they say "so long" and go off the air is anathema to me.
Thanks heaps for such a great Monday. I’m still smiling. ❤️ I love reading the comments too. ❤️❤️
