(Note for new subscribers: On Monday, I recap some of the positive stories/funny memes I’ve come across in the last week. Please add your own in the comments!)
Today’s weekly positive post is a little more random than usual, as I ‘rediscovered’ some material I downloaded last winter that I didn’t get a chance to use before migrating north. (In case you missed it, check yesterday’s post for a G&B update with videos!)
The most important news of the day comes from the realm of science, and can perhaps explain why I keep Screaming into the Void:
Sure makes you wonder about the “demasculinization” of America, doesn’t it? (And explains Mitt Romney.)
Artist’s rendition of this weekend’s Screamup in Santa Fe:
Here we have video evidence that Gavin Newsom CAN tell the truth, he just doesn’t like to do it:
Translation from politician: “Sure, it took fancy leaders coming to town for us to DO something, but we TALKED a lot before the leaders showed up! Newsom 2024!”
Gavin Newsom’s silver lining is that the more he tries to act presidential, the more people realize he’s a lying sociopath with no business being anywhere near power.
Speaking of California, after Interstate 10 was massively damaged by a homeless encampment fire and is closed “indefinitely”, Chairman of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Janice Hahn was busy putting out this cringe-worthy video that’s so bad, it’s good (to mock):
What’s up with that racist music, Chairman?
After talking about California, we need a palate cleanser, so here’s an awesome cat video (Sorry Bill Heath!):
Next, we have some Screamer-supplied photos of the Carroll County Veterinary Clinic, which provides some on-point animal knowledge:
Today’s onion-cutting video is possible because of the loyalty of a puppy who refused to leave his injured friend:
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
This is a planned skit, but still made me laugh:
Turning to politics briefly, here’s a great video of Ayn Rand explaining the American system — to an American journalist. Special points for pointing out the power of voluntary cooperation between people. (No coercion required!)
Finally, I’m not sure who needs to see this, but somebody out there does!
That’s all for today! I’m on more of a “regular” schedule this week and will get back to regular “Screaming” topics starting tomorrow! (Hope you enjoyed the brief quiet respite!)
What made you happy this week, Screamers? Let’s fill up the comment section with more pawsitivity!

I. Just. Can't. (see animals hurt).
But I watched the cat video twice....and Ayn Rand was spectacular.
We have no right to vote to pick another persons pocket.
We needed representatives to say no.
No taxes, no welfare, no Federal Reserve.
BIG mistakes from which we will not recover.
