Lindsey Graham (Still) Wants to Bomb Iran
Also: RFK Jr, French farmer protests, and "humor" from SNL
Greetings, Screamers! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend! Today I’m quickly going over a few stories and then (hopefully) watching the ‘Niners complete the 2020 Super Bowl rematch!
First, the terrible news out of Jordan that three US troops were killed by a drone attack in Jordan. (Yes, we still have troops stationed in Jordan.)
The attack was carried about by “radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq”, according to President Biden, who also promised to respond to the attack. What might such a response look like?
Honestly, I had to triple-check the date to make sure Graham was talking about this latest attack and it wasn’t one of the thousands of other times he advocated bombing Iran.
This is a huge escalation of Middle East tensions, which have been rising since the horrific Hamas attack of October 7th. But it’s not just Middle East tensions that are rising. With pro-Palestinian protestors ramping up their tactics, even Nancy Pelosi is feeling the heat.
You’ll not be surprised at who’s to blame OR what she wants to do about it:
This should be a huge wake-up call to anybody who’s still on the left and sleeping on this issue: You will be targeted and censored just as easily as the ‘right-wing’ the FBI is mainly targeting now. (In fact, you have been for years!)
The Federal Bureau of Investigation improperly searched a trove of intelligence gathered through a foreign spying law for information on people suspected of participating in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol and the George Floyd protests…
It’s been a busy week for RFK Jr., who was first rumored to have been approached by Donald Trump for a VP spot:
Then was rumored to be running as a Libertarian in order to gain ballot access:
This, of course, has libertarians up in arms — and perhaps for a good reason: RFK Jr. isn’t EXACTLY a libertarian. I get that.
But the party nominated this guy in 2008:
This says it all:
Barr joined the Libertarian Party in 2006 and served on its National Committee. He was the Libertarian Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2008 election. Barr announced his return to the Republican party in December 2011. He lost a subsequent bid in 2014 for a Congressional seat.
Nominating not-libertarians has a rich history in the Libertarian party!
On the other side of the pond, protests in France are heating up as farmers move to ‘blockade’ Paris by clogging up highways leading into the city:
These blockades haven’t even officially kicked off, but Prime Minister Attal is already falling over himself trying to get the farmers to back off, including reversing gas taxes and making concessions about fines.
This is certainly worth keeping an eye on!
Finally, I want to highlight this clip from last night’s SNL, in which the host either doesn’t know what debanking is or pretends not to know what it is:
On cue, the audience claps anyway.
This is especially infuriating to me, as I’ve been screaming about this issue for a long while. The debanking of the Canadian trucker protestors was probably the most prominent recent example, but this has been going on for quite a while:
But the talking points memo has already gone out — the left has to pretend to be confused by debanking, so that’s what they do. Herp derp, what’s debanking? Trump is so confusing, nobody can understand him!
His opponent:
Game’s starting, go ‘Niners!

Hey I don't know how to send direct messages, but given the 'name' you chose and your 'data enthusiasm' you might enjoy this article where i simulate the potential damage that Hezbollah could inflict. https://open.substack.com/pub/eomar/p/a-wider-war-hezbollah?r=b9f3l&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Did you hear that Sedona, AZ is opening a homeless encampment on the edge of town? https://www.redrocknews.com/2024/01/17/city-council-plans-homeless-camp-at-sedona-cultural-park/ It has a great view (as good as the multimillion dollar homes nearby). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLeOe7XamyI
I moved from Portland to escape the homelessness crisis there only to have a homeless camp opened in my backyard here. The city announced the "plan" on January 9, at the same time Governor Hobbs announced a $150 million slush fund to encourage homelessness. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/arizona/2024/01/02/has-governor-katie-hobbs-mastered-divided-government-2024-will-be-a-test/71744040007/
Sedona got some of the money and homelessness will worsen here as long as local officials have their snouts in the public trough. I was surprised this story didn't get more traction, but destroying beautiful places has become so commonplace nobody must have noticed. Screaming into the void indeed.
