Kamala Opens Her Mouth...
And predictably removes all doubt
(Note: This is a semi-official continuation of this article from last week. You might want to read it to catch up!)
It’s been a rough week for Kamala Harris. After last month’s Democratic National Convention and its “We got the car keys from the old man” vibe, the Harris campaign is struggling to put together the actual campaign part of the campaign. (As I mentioned last week, I think this is because she hasn’t gone through the rigors of an actual primary.)
Kamala’s joint interview with running mate Tim Walz was supposed to be her ‘reintroduction’ to the American people. Instead, we got an edited 18-minute segment (of a total 41?) in which Harris isn’t asked most of the important questions and ducks the few she is asked.
You can watch the entire interview (in parts) at these links: part 1, part 2, part 3. I watched it twice, which feels like it should be some sort of ironman record. I wouldn’t DREAM of subjecting you to 25 minutes of Kamala Harris, so the section I want to talk about comes roughly halfway through. (2:18 of part 2 if you’re one of those people.)
It’s only 1:24, you can do it.
This clip is so telling. We get to see Kamala’s smirk at :27 as she’s able to shift into one of her canned talking points. (“Trafficking guns, drugs and human beings” is her new darling phrase. She used it multiple times.) We get to hear Bash’s “question” at :50 that contains multiple “correct” answers — which tells you everything you need to know about the media bias. Finally, we get Kamala’s nonsensical answer that her values haven’t changed.
So…..why exactly have your policies changed?
Here’s the debate that Bash is talking about. “Raise your hand if you think it should be a civil offense rather than a crime to cross the border without documentation.”
Just in case you missed it, here’s Kamala Harris with her hand raised:
Harris reiterated support for this policy a couple weeks later when she went on “The View”:
Are those the values that Harris holds? We can’t treat people like criminals? How else are you going to GET THEM TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY AS REQUIRED BY LAW?
In the same debate, Harris (along with all other Democratic candidates) promised free health care to illegal immigrants:
Sharp-eyed viewers probably caught Harris during the pan over, but if not, here she is circled in red:
Why would illegal immigrants be getting healthcare if they’re being deported as the law requires? (Of course, Harris wants to change the law.)
While she was in the Senate, Harris was protesting AGAINST “the law” instead of ensuring it was upheld — calling our border policy a human rights abuse!
So now she’s going to be okay with human rights abuses and enforce our border policy? Even though her values haven’t changed? Huh?
In the past, Harris has made it very very clear that her values do not include mass deportations.
Why on earth should we believe that she’ll carry out the deportations that current law demands?
If Kamala’s values haven’t changed, why has she changed positions on her own electric vehicle mandate?
What are the real values that Harris holds? The ones that she espoused in 2020, or the ones that might get her elected in 2024?
Speaking of elections, are these views still part of Kamala’s core values?
We need paper ballots because Russia hacks our voting machines! And now with even more RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA seeking to interfere in our 2024 elections, now is the perfect time to ensure we ONLY use paper ballots for our elections, right Mrs. Harris?
The only thing that’s consistent about the values of Kamala Harris is how they’re able to instantly adapt to any political situation.
But the inexperience of the Harris campaign is evident in other ways, as well. Last week gave us the perfect example, as Trump attended a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery at the request of some of the family members. Obviously because everything Trump does is the worst thing that’s ever been done, the mainstream media attempted to turn this into a controversy. Attacking Gold Star families isn’t a political strategy that I’d run with, but the situation was mostly a mild rumble until Harris (or one of her staffers) sent this out:
And with that, the powder keg blew. Suddenly, the family members — which had to that point been basically silent — started speaking out. One after another, bereaved parents let the world know what they thought of Kamala Harris:
(Check out this thread for the full versions of all the responses.)
Sounds like a juicy political story, right? Harris attacks Trump, Gold Star family members leap to Trump’s defense and accuse Harris of ignoring them. Scandalous! Obviously the best person to bring on CNN to discuss this situation is…….Jimmy McCain (?!?!?!??!) — who (you may want to sit down for this) is voting for Kamala Harris? Who came up with this idea? I guess he’s “perfect” for an interview because he’ll say bad things about Trump and feed into the “Arlington Controversy” that’s somehow still a ‘controversy’ after everybody knows Trump was invited.
But I guess Kamala Harris can have the support of Jimmy McCain and Liz Cheney — I didn’t like their parents when they were in the GOP, so I’m perfectly happy to see myself on the other side of the second-generation neocons.

You can't vote for someone based on what they say. You have to vote based on what they have done. Unfortunately many people don't realize that and vote for someone because they said something they think they will personally benefit from, even if it isn't fair. Things such as "My plan is to give people making less than $200,000 free groceries and down payments for a house, and it won't cost anyone anything unless they are making over $1 million", or some other bs. Smart people know it is bs, but many people get excited by the idea of free "gifts" and can't think past that. That is exactly why they keep lying to people. Most politicians will say ANYTHING to stay in power or get into power. They will tell one group one thing and another group something else. If they get caught, they weasel word around just like kamala has done here. I do sometimes listen to what the candidates say, but not to hear their empty promises. Instead, I look to find out which ones contradict themselves all the time, tell lies all the time, promise stupid things, and won't face the truth of their own record. That is the only value in hearing the garbage that streams out from them.
All valid points about the phoniest presidential nominee I have ever seen.
But what if Merchan throws Trump on jail?
Does he debate Harris from behind bars?
My point is that her ditzy demeanor is irrelevant.
What's relevant is what Walter Kirn keeps talking, the foreboding sense that we are nearing a massive event that will be tied to the election.
