You can't vote for someone based on what they say. You have to vote based on what they have done. Unfortunately many people don't realize that and vote for someone because they said something they think they will personally benefit from, even if it isn't fair. Things such as "My plan is to give people making less than $200,000 free groceries and down payments for a house, and it won't cost anyone anything unless they are making over $1 million", or some other bs. Smart people know it is bs, but many people get excited by the idea of free "gifts" and can't think past that. That is exactly why they keep lying to people. Most politicians will say ANYTHING to stay in power or get into power. They will tell one group one thing and another group something else. If they get caught, they weasel word around just like kamala has done here. I do sometimes listen to what the candidates say, but not to hear their empty promises. Instead, I look to find out which ones contradict themselves all the time, tell lies all the time, promise stupid things, and won't face the truth of their own record. That is the only value in hearing the garbage that streams out from them.

All valid points about the phoniest presidential nominee I have ever seen.

But what if Merchan throws Trump on jail?

Does he debate Harris from behind bars?

My point is that her ditzy demeanor is irrelevant.

What's relevant is what Walter Kirn keeps talking, the foreboding sense that we are nearing a massive event that will be tied to the election.
