Another topic of conversation, pre-emptive pardons for Fauci, Milley, and the entire J6 commission.

Biden pardons Fauci and Milley in an effort to guard against potential ‘revenge’ by Trump

Edit: Another round for his family, too:

like. And tit for tat. Trump pardons 1500 Jan 6 defendants and commutes 14 sentences.

When I use that cliche, I am always reminded of the comic who said he has some tat and wants to know where he can make the exchange.

Biden's Fauci pardon is here:

https://www.justice.gov/pardon/media/1385746/dl?inline

Would you want this in your obituary?

"FOR ANY OFFENSES against the United States which he may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 20 I 4, through the date of this pardon arising from or in any manner related to his service as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force or the White House COVID-19 Response Team, or as Chief Medical Advisor to the President."

For those Pardoned by Biden, Trump should sign an Executive Order cutting off all federal retirement payments for anyone who received a presidential pardon until the full nature of their crimes against America and the constitution are fully understood.

And then push congress to pass a law that terminates federal retirement payments for anyone found to have committed felonious acts while employed by the federal government as evidence by either a jury conviction, a presidential pardon for such acts, or a refusal to testify before congress asserting 5th amendment protections!

By accepting the pardon, they are pretty much admitting they are guilty. They do have the right to refuse the pardon, thereby refusing to admit any wrongdoing.

Also, by accepting the pardon, they give up the right to "take the fifth." If they are subpeoned, they have to testify and answer questions honestly. If they lie, they will be guilty of perjury.

Expand full comment
Tardigrade's avatar

A eugyppius commenter said "There was a SCOTUS decision in 1915 that says accepting a pardon implies guilt. It did not speak to the question of whether pre-emptive pardons were constitutional, just that the pardoned person has to accept the pardon to lose their 5th Amendment rights in regard to the crime in question. (Burdick vs US)"

I certainly hope the legality of these preemptive pardons is examined. There's also the question of the legality of something signed by someone who's non compos mentis.

I did get to see Melania's gown. Pretty nice. But I have this memory from when I was a liberal and actually worked for Obama's campaign in 2008. That was the inaugural ball when Barry & Michelle danced to "At Last". I had hope then. As soon as he appointed Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff, I knew my hopes were in vain. It went downhill from there. Hard to be so disappointed and wrong at an advanced age. I was a mere 67 then. Hope I'm not disappointed again. It's all about me. hahahha.

A thought about illegals and their deportation. They hold a wealth of information about the source of this travesty. Once they are deported, that information is gone forever. Why not chronicle every detail about how they got here as they head home. Were they shipped against their will by their home country? Did they get invited by the US? Did they receive compensation (clothes, transport, credit cards, phones, contacts). Who afforded these things to them? Get them to name names - from their native land to where they landed in the US. We need to know the name of everyone involved down to the local cabbie that only shuttled illegals for a price to keep it quiet. Pair folks up in teams of 2 (hundreds or thousands of teams) and ask DJT / ICE to allow support. We could acquire info that will help us weed out the enemy within. What's another week having them in country illegally if we can rain justice down on the thousands of folks it took to facilitate this travesty. Just a thought.

Eugyppius had a brilliant take on this today:

'...a motley collection of notionally disadvantaged ethnic and sexual minorities alongside a great tribe of excitable screeching pink-haired women sporting problem glasses and obvious psychiatric problems. Only their hatred of the normal, the privileged and the healthy united them. For a full decade they enforced their politics by shouting very loudly and also by engaging in occasional sporadic violence, as during the Summer of Floyd. Years of preference falsification collapsed in the wake of Trump’s victory, as millions of people realised they were not alone in loathing this vile swarm of bums, grifters and mentally ill pests.'
