But it's fine. Everybody got outside and got to peacefully (for the most part) protest. But looking into the sponsors, it's clear this was just the newest version of the pussy hat protests.
I replied on X, that I was wondering if hospital emergency department's were inundated with geriatric patients on that day? Speculation, that most hadn't gotten out in many years, and overdone it a bit? It's hilarious, that the protesters look just like the Democrats Party!
You can still agree with some of the protestors' criticisms of Trump/Republicans, but that doesn't mean they're grounded in a consistent or reliable ideology.

I had seen the Spinning Boomer Lady botched helicopter rescue video somewhere before. Thanks to your link, I now know it took place on Piestewa Peak in north central Phoenix. It was, and to me will always be Squaw Peak. But in contrast to my unreconstructed stance on Confederate statues and Columbus Day, I don't have a big problem with this particular rechristening: Specialist Lori Piestewa, a Hopi, was KIA in Iraq, in the same ambush in which Jessica Lynch was captured. Her death was another Bush-Cheney war crime. Now we've got a mountain in Phoenix to remind us that Dubya and Deadly Dick should have died in cells at the Hague, and for much better reason than, say, Milosevic.
In my long ago freshman year at Brophy Prep, the track coach bused us to the Piestewa Peak park entrance, made us run to the top and back down, and then run the nearly 5 miles back to Brophy (on Central just south of Camelback.) I'm not too ashamed to admit that I lapsed into a walk a couple miles short of campus. Good times.
Aww, thanks for posting picture of Snoots. He is largely in control around here. He has 2 tricks. 1. He rolls over like a dog, often on command! 2. He opens cabinet doors and pulls stuff out if he can get his claws in it. But he also spreads fur wherever he roosts and he has clawed up the couch in my office. Bum.

The “F” word was my favorite word of all time but after finding God, I no longer cuss. Basically happened overnight. I was called “big fat bigot and racist” when i noticed one photo a “friend” posted was only “white folks” and was told “you know nothing about our community”. well I do know that the demographics are about 85% “white folks”.

The daytime protests were almost all peaceful, but the usual cities got fired up after dark. (Chicago, LA, Portland, just like last time.)
