Vax injuries and serious adverse events are horrible and tragic. We have to remember that most people are not screaming apparatchiks. Most people are just trying to get by, making the best decisions they can based on what they know. As for the minority who are actual screaming apparatchiks threatening to coerce people and throw them in camps, fuck them. I don't care what happens to them. I call that karma.

Canada has a premier and a legislature. They were elected and are still supported by many Canadians. The US has a president and a legislature. Those who want rational government need to get involved in your political processes, and get rational candidates and funding and support. You should read Parallel Election. Everybody cheats. Human nature. They did it better lately. But cheating only works when it's close. Flagrant cheating is too easy to detect. Actually, marginal cheating is detectable, too, if you're looking. Most people aren't. The solution is convincing enough of your neighbors so it's not close. And monitor the elections.
This was all true before universal mail-in ballots destroyed every piece of integrity the process had. It's no big deal to zap up thousands (or millions) of votes now.
We know about the cheating because it was detectable and they were caught. Then the question becomes what to do about it. The winners don't want to do anything about it. The losers don't seem to want to do anything about it, either. If 49% are dissatisfied, they're whiners. If 51% are dissatisfied, they can make a difference. Actually, 49% can, too, if they're willing. Apparently we prefer whining. Or, we could work on thet 2% on the margins, and more. No society can surviveca 50-50 division. Lincoln said "A house divided cannot stand" during the last civil war, then he set about aggressive unification. We don't seem to have that level of commitment. Maybe it will change.
