Sick humour aside, ravens are impressive birds in all aspects. Clever, sociable, clean, and in equal amount harbinger and messenger. I can usually get a rough estimate of the weather from their behaviour. Never seen one with a white patch though. Hugin (Will, mood, mind) and Munin (Memory, recollection) also comes to mind, of course.
Positive for me is that all the little tweety-birds have gotten so used to me they are /this/ close to landing on me while I'm rummaging about in the feed-bins for chicken-feed (this month it's dried corn, stale bread and assorted veggies from the wife's work).

I didn't vote in this election it is a felony for aliens to cast ballots. I have voted for 58 of my years as a autism spectrum disordered theosophist refugee of the Spanish and Russian Inquisitions who was told 70 years ago by his father that Christopher Columbus was a Basque Jew a Celt like us not a Roman. So funny about the Ravens! My old place had ravens but more transitory. Up here, in my new place, they seem to have settled down in territory and talk all the time. I love their clacks and squeaks. Some of the tribes up here ascribe language to ravens.
When I was small there was a hardware store that also had pets (mid 60's - no need to hunt them down and swat them,LOL) who had a Myna bird for years in the store. It mostly just chattered but occasionally spoke. My four year old self always wanted to take that Myna home. Nowadays I love seeing how people are associating with corvids. There's some great stuff on youtube with people putting out food puzzles for Crows and Ravens.
I remember as a little kid at a Chinese Restaurant with family and my grandfather had a whistling contest with the restaurant's Myna bird. I forget who won, but it was fun!

I’m no expert, but I’ll throw in my opinion…I have a tri-color mini Aussie, black with white collar, that looks very much like that guy but Aussies traditionally have a docked tail. Based on that I’m guessing Border Collie! 🤗 Both breeds are super smart dogs and natural athletes.❤️❤️❤️ Wonderful, wonderful dogs.

Not sure about ravens, but I read recently it's illegal to have a pet crow because of all the nefarious things you can train them to do.
