Our governement does something even worse: they give asylum, citizenship and new identities to IS soldiers, but refuse to even process ukrainians as refugees.
Because the IS soldiers have the full support of the moslems in Sweden, and those moslems vote for the socialist democrats who need their vote to stay in governement - white christian ukrainians, many with personal experience of socialism or having grown up hearing their parents tell of it, would vote for either of the two christian oppositional parties.
Disgusting is not strong enough.
Meanwhile, the socialist democrats keep funding AQiM, Fatah/Hamas, PKK and other terrorist groups as to ensure migrants of that origin vote for them.
But as this is done with both EU and US/NATO approval, no charges and no criticism is levelled against them, hardly even when the socialist democrats openly supports moslem pogroms against jews in Sweden.
And as 19 out of 20 get their news from the party controlled state news...
Despite Erdogan being what I would call a Grade A-***hole, yes he does have a fully valid point. For more than 50 years the swedish socialist democrat party has financed and aided terrorist groups operating under the guise of beijg anti-colonial freedom fighters, and the kurds are one such people as have been receiving aid from the party (tax money of course, often covered as foreign aid).
This case however has a delicious little piece of internal politicking:
Last year, mrs Andersson (the PM) faced what to sum up can best be described as a vote of no confidence combined with her taking over the office after mr Löfven. One member of the communist party (yes, real old-school Pol Pot is our homeboy commies), a kurdish migrant who holds one of their seats in parliament had rcently been removed as a member due to her not toeing the party line of identitarian issues (this does not mean she has to give up her seat).
So, when the vote comes, this woman is in the position of being the one vote out it swings on; you don't need 51% of the votes in our system, only more than the other side. As all the parties' positions were known previously, she was suddenly very important. Cue the socialist democrats (mrs Andersson's party) agreeing to giving her clan and their armed group of insurrectionists about $50 000 000 in swedish crowns.
This of course taken together with the fact that several agents of Turkey in some of the socialist democrat's coalition partners have been outed as members of the turkish fascist group The Grey Wolves, means Erdogan has had his hackles up for a long time, and now finally got an opportunity for a shot below the line. (Sweden's long support to Greece in the issue of Cyprus is another old bone to pick.)
As for NATO membership, we have been de facto allies to the US/NATO since the late 1940s when the swedish airforce flew scouting sorties along the Soviet border for the benefit of the US. The whole schtick about neutrality has always only been internal politicking and putting make up on the pig as the saying goes.

I really like the WIDE variety of current topics in your stack. Maybe more articles on the harms of propaganda and where Americans can get solid news bits, etc. Not sure what to believe anymore...

I am very sorry. The Blessed Tiger left for other realms 28 years ago, and is very badly missed, and through some space-time-continuum confluence of worlds seen and unseen, she occasionally visits me in dreams, during which she speaks perfect English and has an unmistakable tactile presence. They are never far though the empty space left behind is never not painful.

I can’t necessarily say that I’d starve were I to join as a paid sub. It’s just that a while back some wise libertarian suggested on a different stack that gift subs were a great gift that would also help spread the truth.

It's so true! Sometimes my old kitties wander into my dreams, and I just figure they want some pets before wandering back off where they came from.
