You’ve written a good post, SimCommander. Depressing as it is to walk down this particular memory lane, it’s important to be reminded of the insanities imposed on us.
I walked into a CVS store today, and almost laughed out loud at the big posters on the doors and windows: “ FREE FLU AND COVID SHOTS!”. Ha - they can’t GIVE that toxic crap away now!
I am shocked that humanity has survived as long as we have. The level of stupidity and how widespread it is, the only explanation for our survival is a merciful God looking over us and protecting us from ourselves.
I got a call from my 'health care provider' that I am overdue for my flu shot. LOL, I guess you have some poor person calling all the over-60's about that one. I was polite, but told her I don't take flu shots. That is now in my permanent record. The shame of it!!!
I've gotten the flu on the average once every 5 to 10 years. It sucks, but I've survived just fine and was well in a couple of days or so. Covid was worse, and I survived that one too.
Not getting run down doing 10- 12 hour graveyard shifts, etc, seems to really help in that department.
And they desperately needed a way to not count those instances, thus the "two weeks after your last shot" was born. It eliminated all those vaccine failures AND skewed the future numbers because those people weren't "unvaccinated" in any honest sense of the word.
My pharmacy asks me every time "Have you had your flu shot" and I say "I discuss this with my doctor." When The Doctor asks me "have you had your flu shot" I say "I'll see if my pharmacy provides them".
They lump together, all respiritory illnesses, about 9, or so, ILI, (influenza like illness), and call them Flu, when, in fact, real flu is minor, majority unknown or other illness, sometimes combined, bacterial, etc. which a flu jab won't stop. All to scare people into cash cow jabs. Look how dementia increased since flu jabs. Aluminium found in jabs and brains of deceased dementia and autistic kids! Dr Chris Exley substack.
I vaguely remember early in the pandemic, they adjusted the "ILI" baseline to account for covid, and (IIRC) it meant that if 1% of people across the country had covid, that would bump up the "danger" to pandemic status.
As a kid in the 70s and 80s, we all got flu each year. None were ever tested. This is not a complaint about not being tested. It just so happens that medicine had at the time absolutely nothing in its antiviral quiver beyond fluid, vitamin and nutrient intake to help the body of the infected fight it off. Treatment being the same, no need to test.
Memory lane? Here in Japan, hospitals and medical schools still require masks. About 20-30% of those on the street and trains in and around Tokyo are STILL masked, many of these double masked. More customer service employees are still masked than not, some still behind plastic shielding. Earlier a MD assaulted another rail passenger for not wearing a mask. My kids still are having difficulty with both listening comprehension and pronunciation as their “teachers” wore masks for a full 4 1/2 years under mandate and some still are.
It was enough that I was stifling laughter a quarter of the way through, LOLing at halfway, and doubled up laughing at 3/4s, reminded of all the "hilarious" goings on back then. Them expert folks is crazy.🤪
However and as I've pointed out several times, Hanlon's razor -- "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" -- may have some relevance:
Of particular note in that old version of a Wikipedia article is an 18th century painting:
"The Court of Foolishness of Gerard de Lairesse. The accused, pursued by Hatred, is led by Calumny, Envy and Perfidy before a judge with donkey ears, surrounded by Ignorance and Suspicion."
Stupidity would have come down in both directions. The "experts" never "erred" on the incorrect side of the narrative -- the "mistakes" were ALWAYS in favor of it.
That's how we know they weren't mistakes. (Well, that and the communications we now have showing they always knew the truth.)
The anger this regenerates is fierce. I spoke out whenever possible, but most wanted to be sheep. Families torn apart. Trust in allopathic medicine gone. It remains the most appalling experience and the masks are still prevalent where I live. I’m fairly brusque in ignoring the stupidity. Now do trans and TDS for the DMS5…
Hmm…..about mistakes, what do you think of today’s announcement in the Wall St journal that RFK has stated the cause of autism is pregnant mothers taking acetaminophen. Is that the “bombshell” we’ve been waiting for. Check on CHD.
Everyone has their own experts — think there's even a name for the phenomenon …
In adjudicating between them one must have some understanding of the principles and science in play. Which is in short supply on both sides of the issue. The “stupidity” over the efficacy of ivermectin maybe being a case in point …
I believe that the entire thing was designed to elicit fear, cause confusion, spread division and make it so that the population would never be able to see the truth, until that last moment when the boot was stamping on their neck.
It's still taking place in the UK*, with our government seemingly creating the problem, forcing the reaction and then pushing the solution.
Green energy, unchecked immigration, two tier policing, digital ID**, CBDC, etc.
Perchance you've forgotten the controversy over masks, the CDC saying one day they were essential, the next they weren't, followed by, if I'm not mistaken, them saying they should be doubled? Don't think they knew whether they were on foot or horseback, though the situation, and "understanding" of it, was changing rapidly. Dolts to the Left of Us, Dolts to Right. For examples, see:
And you also consider this old book, though been a while since I read it myself:
"Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science: The Curious Theories Of Modern Pseudoscientists And The Strange, Amusing And Alarming Cults That Surround Them. ... In Human Gullibility (Popular Science)"
You might also consider this old tweet from Steven Pinker:
SP: "I dislike Jordan Peterson's counter-Enlightenment wooliness (Christianity, Nietzsche, Jung, lobsters), but Caitlyn Flanagan [in The Atlantic] explains his appeal in an era when the cultural Left seems to be trying to out-stupid the Right (impossible, but they're trying)."
Though I'd dispute that "impossible" of Pinker's given that it's the Left who have bought the farm, swallowed transgender dogma -- "trans women are women!!11!!" -- hook, line, and sinker, who have accepted and peddled the outright lie -- risible anti-scientific claptrap at best -- that people can change sex. For example, you might be "amused" by this public comment by a Democrat Representative or Senator Julian Castro:
JC: "And, you know, what that means is that just because a woman — or let’s also not forget someone in the trans community, a trans female — is poor, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the right to exercise that right to choose. And so I absolutely would cover the right to have an abortion.”
Hilarity ensued when many people -- more or less reasonably, given the apparent connection from "trans female" to "right to have an abortion" -- thought he was arguing in favour of that policy:
The mask "controversy" was invented to confuse and confound and demoralize people. It was not Dolts Botching Shit* by any stretch of the imagination.
At the same time the psychopath Fauci was telling people to wear three masks, he was privately writing to his friends that masks don't work (his initial public statement). He didn't Forget How to Science.. he's simply a deeply malevolent actor.
The vast majority of people at the vertices of these situations, if not 100% of them, are malevolent actors. They didn't get where they are but by lying and cheating.
Do you remember Walensky telling us that everyone on the planet would NEED a covid "booster" EVERY TWO MONTHS? Because I REMEMBER THAT.
Are you telling me that you think she actually BELIEVED that?
Not a lot of work, kind of just a bunch of boiler-plate ... 😉🙂
There may well have been a bunch of "malevolent actors" at the heart of the "Covid Crisis", but I still think much of it was pigheaded ignorance, and outright panic -- the blind leading the blind.
As for which "planet I'm from", I was well retired at that point, and I wasn't terribly impacted by that crisis: no mask mandates to have to deal with at work or schools. I was able to look at the phenomenon with some detachment and amusement.
Well, me too (retired, effective spectator). Why do you see all this clearly-globally-coordinated enemy action as mere bumbling?
Just the idea of getting ALL these fucking stickers onto the floors of ALL the grocery stores simultaneously. It's a military-level operation. They are still hectoring me over the PA system in the Shaw's supermarket about getting the jab and getting 10% off my grocery order.
How can you possibly think this was just something that Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum errantly fell into!?!?!?
And a lot of people are holding similar receipts for their own circumstances (like emails from school districts citing CDC recommendations). They (and you, or I) aren't just going to forget it happened.
You're right. US COVID response was mercurial and experts spoke with no doubts - inaccurately. What a flop. However, RFK Jr. is still a nutter. Gets a few things right, but I strongly believe he has some serious mental issues.
nowadays when I watch a Youtube program and there are masks anywhere, I immediately stop and write underneath why I stopped watching. Unless of course it was that one in France, where everyone is leisurely walking outside, masks on, then going into a crowded restaurant, sit down, take mask off, eat, put mask on and go out again.... I just could not keep from laughing. Just like these flute players with a ribbon of mask... didn't they see the craziness of this?
All it took was 30 seconds watching the public wear masks to realize that even if they could hypothetically work in a lab, they couldn't work in real life. People were CONSTANTLY fiddling with the masks before going back to playing on their phones.
I presented this to my state's court administrator as evidence as to why masks should not be required in courtrooms, after I was called to jury duty, and I got permanently relieved from jury duty for life!
Yeah! I also included some exhibits of those graphs where the number of "cases" steeply escalated well after the date of imposition of mask mandates in various cities and countries across the world.
I argued that, since the court was established as a mechanism for trying to elicit the truth from available evidence, to wear a mask in court despite prevailing contrary evidence would publicly signal a disregard for evidence, and advertise our disinclination to fairly adjudicate other matters.
It kind of sucks, because I actually liked jury duty!
I had a couple of those in here originally but replaced them with other graphics and videos. The "kansas mask study" link shows exactly how they cherry-picked evidence and presented information they knew was false.
I remember the Belgian press showing how a masked person would be masked 'well' when he was unable to blow out a candle. He was in view for 2 seconds of course, trying and unable to breathe! Then they showed someone running, and said to be careful not to run too long. Of course not! If you run you need even more oxygen. After that, their Fauci clown had to go in hiding because he received multiple death threats. And that April, a kind of Babylon bee reported he had died from cvd. You can imagine his outrage.
First mask adopter I seriously saw, was this filthy workman who got out of his truck, fished a battered mask out of the pocket of jeans coated in drywall dust and mud, unfolded it from the tiny square it had been pleated into and then put it on his face to go into Home Depot. This was ~Feb or March '20 a few weeks before the mandates went out. I knew then that this would never work...
I remember a guy had modified his mask by cutting a hole for his mouth and covering it with a flap equipped a spring and string: You pull the string to open it to put food in your mouth, and then release it to allow the spring to snap it shut.
👍 The county in TN where my wife and I live is the most reliably Republican county in the Nation (1856 through the present), so we rarely see a Righteous mask performer, but when we do, one of us exclaims “Look at that obnoxious asshole!”
Perhaps they were making a point. I traveled by air plane during the lockdowns and the airport required masking. One couple in the waiting area were wearing masks made of fishnet stockings…. I assume this was to prove a point? Apparently fishnet stocking masks were sufficient for the rules….
these were for sale online! another funny anecdote - the first time I went to the store after the masks came out, of course I did not have one. I asked the cashier if my scarf would do and she agreed. It was a hand crochet scarf with holes the size of fingers. That same store started having the first hour for retirees only. At the time I was 62. A nice gentleman 'over the age' heard the cashier refuse me entrance, and said, She is with me! The scamdemic brought out the worst AND the best in people! And we finally know who is who!
Thank you for this run-down from the depths of the memory-hole!
Here's a personal anecdote from just a few years ago. Me, telling an MD and an RN that masks don't work, and they replying that of course they do, don't I use a mask when sanding and grinding and painting?
Yes, yes I do - one /rated for particle-size and type!
Blank stares.
But here in Sweden, it's pretty much as if Covid never happened. People get really angry when you bring up that the police used riot squads against octogenarians legally protesting suggested mandates, or that lots and lots of politicians of all parties suggested locking unvaccinated people out of hospitals, nursing homes and refusing the use of ambulance/ER.
Yes, the point of this article was to jog the memory and remind people that "we didn't know" isn't a valid excuse BECAUSE THEY DID KNOW, they just thought the lie was noble enough to tell.
Please repost this piece on a quarterly basis. People need to be reminded. I’m looking for a new family medicine practitioner and the first one I checked with claimed that the Covid vaccine kept people disease free, unlike those who didn’t get it.
Here in Washington I gave some grace to businesses because the governor literally sent officers around to fine businesses for mask violations of their customers, effectively turning the business into the mask police.
As a WA resident, I’m leery (and somewhat terrified) of this West Coast Alliance, as it’s causing the terror of the previous 5 years to resurface. As you know, many people here are not willing to give up their masks and jabs and believe that these things are actually keeping them safe/ healthy.
They came out yesterday and "recommended" everybody get the jab. I would not be shocked to see school mandates, because (as always) the best customer is the one who doesn't have a choice.
I haven't been to a doc in years. I don't really want to but have some scrips (for meds that are OTC just a few miles north of me) that need filling. I recently got a call to 'remind' me to get a flu shot. I need to find someone who is not going to expose me to that shit, raise my BP and be able to note in my record that I was paranoid and hostile. It sucks, and I feel ya.
Rikard, haven't you noticed that here in the Eurofacistan there is one subject at a time that the MSM is lobbying and large part of the general public is absolutely convinced that that is the only truth.
First it was that we need migrants, from the early 90's or so onwards, how they come to enrich our culture for the better and to help us with the employment (though that agenda still continues even if now people are staring to see it was BS all the way)
Then when it was time for country X or Y to join the EU, there was huge non-stop pro-EU media campaign 24/7
From 2008-2015 it was to tell everyone how wonderful US president Obama was and how he can do no wrong, the messiah himself.
2015-2019 it was how stupid is Trump and first how he will never get elected (one media outlet said that Trump has 0.0 % to win) and after election it was how bad guy he is. In Europe, nothing in the media but the US president Trump hate, day after day.
Then it was Covid - nothing but Covid 2020-2022
Now it is Putin bad, Russia evil, Zelensky the best guy ever, Russia will surely soon lose etc.
Wonder what will be the next MSM agenda after Ukraine is lost and they can not spin anymore BS stories about how poor Russians have to steal washing machines from Ukies to build drones from stolen washing machine parts (yes, that was actually their claim at one point).
Oh yes. I'm old enough that those who taught social sciences when I was in compulsory school used state/regime-media as examples of what has become known as mass formation.
No slur against Desmet, but he's about seven or eight decades late at least with his term and description of the phenomenon - it was taught when I was at university in the early 1990s, studying polsci, econ and rhetorics among other things.
Most common refrain from a middle-aged or older Swede is:
And then there were the kids on airplanes. Numerous times a whole family would be booted off the flight because Toddler wouldn't tolerate the mask. I think infants below a certain age were exempt, but again that makes no "science-y" sense.
I have a book about medicine, a real tome. The first quarter is about the history of it all, from the oldest known sources to present day (1960s at time of printing).
I think having read that as a kid (the benefit of state TV showing only politically approved "entertainment" for kids: you read lots of books instead) in part is what made me skeptical enough to hold off on being jabbed. And once I started snooping online for info - Hel no, not even at gunpoint.
Because that book spells out that in any time and place, what was seen as the height of medical science came to either be refined into actual science (figuring out via vivisection of criminals what nerves are f.e.) or discarded as hokum (trepanning to cure headaches).
Sticky model... eugh. Recognise that one - it's very prevalent in psychology too. Don't teach self-reliance, skills or how to build confidence; instead have the patient dig and dig and dig into him/herself for "the true reason", which of course is just a few more sessions away.
Love it - I used to use phlogiston theory when teaching. Always got a laugh from the kids, but also sobered them up a bit when they realised that these were very serious and learned men with titles and degrees who for real tried to find that elusive substance that makes things lose weight from burning.
Other class-room favourites were Hollow Earth Theory, not that it was ever widespread, and the notion that the Sun and the planets were cooling, the proof being that Mars is barren and arid, Earth is habitble and Venus "will be" habitable when it's cooled off enough (implication being humanity's ancestors came from the outermost planets and have been pkanet-hopping inwards since time immemorial).
Silver lining: all them old discredited ideas are great if you're spinning yarns or attempting to write fiction!
The very basis of science is that the experiments are repeatable. If it's not repeatable, it's not science. If the science actually backs you up, it's very easy to show it.
That was further down the line in another conversation. Someone questioned my assertion that 88% of studies are wrong/erroneous/can't be. repeated. They thought I was pulling this data out of my ass. Like I just stopped randomly, and thought "This statistic sounds right...I will repeat it."
I don't know about the exact number, but I think it was even a NEJM or JAMA editor (female, iirc, just to help ID since I can't track it down) to have discussed this.
Here's a paper from Ioannidis saying most studies are false. Not sure if that might include his own, but here ya go:
A question the guy asked who was a reframing of the argument. Which would you choose to believe, something a credentialed scientist in a medical field or a ferret?
I’m reading it… my nine thousand comments might not appear for a while. That Congressional Hearing should be proof positive to everyone that the Democrats are not interested in truth, that Elizabeth Warren needs a mental health evaluation and that all of them were feigning concern for our babies, children and elders health because they OWE Big Pharma. My pissed off meter is off the scale over this. And still no one has touched my favorite topic of this Scamdemic …there were treatments!! Everything else is bullshit. More later!!
SimCom mentions Ivermectin. I also remember hydroxychloroquine, quinine and fenbendazole were/are options. Funny thing is the common factor is they all have anti-parasitic qualities.
Soooo… when I was in my mid forties.. like almost 30 years ago, I went through 8 months of medical mystery… finally an infectious disease doctor tested me for Lyme and other vector borne infections… BINGO! It took a lot of trial and error but ultimately what knocked it out of me was Cipro( abx) and PlaQUInel ( Hydroxychloroquine). HCQ is also taken daily by Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis patients daily. So when COVID hit, many doctors started treating with this combo. The CDC immediately banned it and the State Medical Boards went after any doctor who defended it. So next up was Ivermectin, the doctor who developed it won the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Merck and tje Carter Foundation donated 600 million doses to India and helped to eliminate River Blindness.,, a parasitical virus. So the CDC discredited that as well with the new head, Dr Walensky ridiculing it in a tweet “ C’mon y’all, you know you’re not horses.” I was through the roof with this blatant lie. So, seeing as we have never been told the origin of the virus ( like wtf did GOF tweak it with??) , I say go RFK!! He may not know the total truth, but he knows we all have been lied to.
I e-mailed the Swedish CDC about the effectiveness and proven record of Ivermektin, citing both the Inidian effort and the project in Africa where it's avaliable for less than a dollar a dose, arguing that with literally over a billion doses administered with close to zero adverse reactions (relative the scale and scope) shouldn't they make an effort to procure/start production of Ivermektin domestically to help alleviate shortages of other medications.
I also cited FASS (the official information database about all medications; if it isn't in the FASS the MD may not even prescribe it) about Ivermektin. Their reply?
"The vaccine against Covid-19 is safe and effective. Contact your closest health care center to receive your next shot."
Kids, I'm warning all of you that if the GOP loses the midterms as it's trying with its whole heart to do, there won't be an apocalyptic scenario too outlandish for the Democrats to engender.
If everyone opposed to their ongoing lunacy doesn't get on every local governing and/or advisory body in every locality in this country starting like yesterday, we're going to have semi-eternal winter.
If we thought the lawfare the first time around was horrifying and shredded untold ordinary lives in the goal of trying to draw and quarter Trump, it will be full Stalinist basements-with-the-drains-in-the-floor next time.
Kids, I'm warning all of you that if the GOP doesn't stop lying-via-silence about the widespread Covidvax harms story, that if it doesn't demand coverage of it, that lots of formerly loyal GOP voters will be slow-walking our support for it--no donations, no campaign work, etc. COVID-VAX, COVER-UP, GOP; KEEP YOUR SILENCE YOU LOSE ME. I say SCA should stop the base-rallying here, and spend his energy confronting our corrupt/blind "conservative" leaders ("Oh, but we're not nearly as corrupt and censorious as the Dems!") instead. The problem comes from them.
I sure hope your guess is wrong...if we lose in 2026....we are so screwed. Just about, if not more than Bud Light was when they put that Tranny on the can:
During the entire lockdown and masking period of living in WA state, I have to say that this was absolutely the most angry and depressed I've ever been in my life. It was surreal to see people around me completely okay with the oppression, the snitch website, the Seattle "summer of love," the riots and crime sprees, the continual masking, the disruption and closure of businesses, and the forced isolation. I felt like I truly didn't belong in that state. Because I couldn't trust that this wouldn't happen again and get worse in all respects, I sold my lovely wooded home and moved out of state. It's been an adjustment but I know that I did the right thing.
Well, this was a fine nano-summation of everything they did and tried to do to us, but what I really want you to cover as soon as ever you can is Sen. Tim Kaine comparing, in a Congressional hearing, the Declaration of Independence to something the mullahs in Tehran could've written.
I'm a little surprised actually that you and el gato malo ain't each already hit my inbox with that one. Seems a little, you know, foundational to our entire American experiment.
I understand, and you sure needed to catch up on some sleep too though apparently you haven't much succeeded in that, but since I saw that clip on X I been sort of foaming at the mouth, so to speak.
I thought there's been a bit of overuse of the imprecation "Communist! Communist!" all over the place but when a sitting generationally American Senator sneers at the document that is the full, complete and entire argument for our creation as a nation-state I think maybe we ain't been screaming that loud enough.
Well, if any of Gudrun's forefathers encountered any of Kaine's foremothers in Scotland and/or Ireland and did a little intimate ravaging I'd say there's good odds he is.
We've left our respective Crazyrealms and moved fulltime into Alternate Reality. I swear.
Gudrun is one of those people who you realise upon meeting them (I have, so have several friends) that they are stark raving special and always have been.
An alcoholic, she once attended opening night for a movie so drunk she hoisted her skirt up and squatted and started pissing on the red carpet, in fornt of hundreds, including paparazzi.
And she managed to turn that into a show-of-strenght about single mothers with high-stress jobs and so on.
To say nothing about when she at a public rally decided to illustrate the irresponsible spending of the Socialist Democrat government by burning 100 000:- ($10 000) in cash on stage. Not only is that illegal, her voter-base were welfarecases and low-income single mothers.
Or when she explained on live TV that if just remove all troops and abolish police and military we'll have no crime and no war, since you need police and military to have either.
And under her leadership, the Communist Party - the real thing - usuallt netted about 10% of the vote. Oh the ignominy!
Everyone here knows me to be exceptionally gentlewomanly but when I saw that clip of Tim Kaine I exclaimed "what the all fuck!" right out loud, and then right afterwards I thanked God yet again that the Clinton-Kaine ticket lost back in 2016.
He's perhaps more pernicious than your Gudrum because he presents as bland tiresome wimpy harmless typical Democratic Party guy of his age and place.
I don't say this lightly because it's another word everyone slings around like yesterday's greasy hash but that man ought to be impeached if there's any justice in the universe. Absolute traitor to the Constitution.
The human eq. to the "sneaky fucker"-type of hart then. The kind of male that makes the knuckles itch and makes you want to take a shower just from being in the same room.
I found him so repellent back during that campaign and I couldn't quite put my finger on it (well of course I wouldn't want my finger within 20 lightyears of the guy) but I thought it was because he seemed so utterly lacking in the merest trickle of testosterone. Now I understand the degree of evil.
Hope you've read it and/or watched the original BBC TV series -- highly recommended if not; venerable classics, destined to be read with Plato and Shakespeare a thousand years from now, assuming the civilization lasts that long ... 🙂
But no end of amusing and quite cogent social commentary of one sort or another. In particular (in a note from our sponsor ... 😉🙂), I had asked Google's AI, Gemini, this question:
"what's the scene in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy about an intergalactic war being started by something mistaken for an insult?"
Some relevant quotes:
Gemini: "The intergalactic war in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was caused by Arthur Dent's casual comment, "I seem to be having this tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle," which was misheard by a race of beings called the G'Gugvuntts through a wormhole. In the Vl'Hurg tongue, this translated to a terrible insult, sparking a war that lasted for millions of years until the two races realized the remark's Earthling origin and combined forces. ....
Eventually, both sides realized the insult came from Earth and decided to unite against the planet responsible. ....
In a classic example of the series' absurd humor, the combined Vl'Hurg and G'Gugvuntt fleet, which was about to attack Earth, was accidentally swallowed by a small dog due to a miscalculation of scale. "
Rather like the transgender clusterfuck where many people take "sex" and "gender" to be synonymous, and where many others differentiate between the two, the former referring to reproductive abilities, and the latter to psychological traits typical of but not unique to those who exhibit or possess either of the two types of reproductive functions. Case in point is this "song" from William Ferguson -- see the "Transcript" for more:
WF: "Call me old school, I ain't no fool Two genders work fine, why rewrite the rule? They say pick your vibe, make it fluid, don't hide ...."
Would be funny -- like a dog chasing its tale -- if it weren't so depressing.
But, in other news, a couple of other links you might have some interest in, a Matt Taibbi post "defending", I guess, Bari Weiss from some "foul slander" in an article at The Nation calling her "a vile grifter" and a "pusher" of "genocide denial, transphobia, and the freedom to make Nazi salutes":
Never read it nor watched the series. Not my type of story.
[slams door shut but continues to whisper through keyhole]
Bari Weiss has been a shrill self-righteous pile of misery since her days at Columbia. In my view Matt Taibbi can be a little naive in his friendships.
They are trying to challenge everything in the Constitution as mis-guided or outdated or undemocratic or antisemitic or transphobic or whatever. What's most worrying is that their choice replacement population has little concept of the ideals in those founding documents and, when they do understand them, they're in disagreement.
Eugyppius said something recently on X that I haven't been able to get out of my head since, and I won't try to paraphrase his perfect stating of it, but the heart of his point was that rea; politics is war and if you're not trying to win, you lose.
And of course that is true. Why else do you support a party and its platform and goals? To perform the bipartisan dance means nobody believes in anything enough to fight for.
I've never belonged to a party but my whole life it was inconceivable I should ever vote for a Republican and/or a conservative and now here we are at last with the Democratic Party become an unhyperbolic engine of evil (and I don't mean its banner support for abortion which I regard as purely an issue of a woman's liberty though even in that I must end up a hypocrite with my support for limits post-viability).
I mean truly they wish to destroy this nation as it was constructed to be as the finest fruit of the Western Enlightenment. Sneering Tim Kaine has made me renew my vow to vote only Republican henceforth no matter what idiot may run for any and every office under that label. War wounded but intending to gimp on so long as I'm able, I guess.
There are signs that we are at a tipping point. If, (and unfortunately, its still "if"), we make it through the next few years, the sane will prevail. The stark, raving, fucking mad cretins we have allowed to take control over our institutions, and our lives, will be pushed whimpering and dirtying their diapers, back into the peanut gallery whence they came.
And hopefully the rest of us can get back to minding our own business - and living our lives our way.
Unfortunately there are very good decent people (does this remind anyone of anything?) who diligently vote Democratic and are unlikely to stop within this election cycle, and I don't include them, of course, in the ranks of the deranged who will do anything necessary to break everything.
Joni Mitchell was right with the lyrics of that song. Grim life lesson that every generation must learn on its own.
I work with a bunch of people older than I who will, in any given situation, pull some kind of non-sequitorial Trump comment out of their fundaments if given half the chance. I find a fire to put out elsewhere when this happens, leaving them all to yuk it up out of my earshot.
Our darling retarded Gov has expanded the definition of sales tax. Prices all over will be going up to cover this. Of course they will all blame it on the tariffs and Trump like they do all of the fallout from this disasterous state government.
I don't mind ignorance in the young so much because it's a natural state of being. I was quite an idiot for longer than I like to admit. But moron old people, there's no excuse for 'em.
If I understand your comment correctly, there is a little book that describes this perfectly: The Myth of Left and Right: How the Political Spectrum Misleads and Harms America by Hyrum Lewis and Verlan Lewis. It talks about how issues aren’t left or right, and how party loyalty leads to dissonance. I found it fascinating.
Excellent, re the letter. Now RFK, Jr has a list with current employees who should be immediately terminated. Easy peezy. What arrogant dumbasses to out their names on such a missive. But when one thinks one is superior, all kinds of ruh-rohs happen. I was married to a narcissist. I know the lay of that land.
Whew! I really disliked going down this particular memory lane. All of it is literally written indelibly on my brain yet you made all great points and highlights. It’s truly funny, in retrospect, they played their cards so badly they’ll never be able to pull off another Plandemic, thank God.
I give a bit of thanks to the whole Plandemic nightmare simply because, for me, it served as a gigantic red-pill with a seemingly endless supply of rabbit holes. I got a PhD in lies we’ve been told since before the turn of the 20th century. Nothing like knowing the actual truth!
We shouldn't forget. Ever!! Personally lost all savings while waiting tables rather than get the gene shot. Don't regret it. The death toll is unimaginable.
My favorite- when it was clear the jabs did not stop infection, they pivoted to “you might still get Covid, but at least it prevents hospitalization and death”. My multi-boosted SIL is firmly convinced that she only survived her multiple bouts of Covid because she got her boosters.
Sort of like paxlovid -- take it no later than 5 days after symptoms appear or the symptoms will disappear on their own and you won't credit the drug.
If the shots didn't stop infection, any protection gained was purely personal. If that was the case, millions of people would make the correct decision to just get the virus and get over it. But the "experts" couldn't have that, and so they lied and said we were protecting others by getting the shots.
I couldn't believe people trusted media and 'experts' post Judy Miller, let alone the ludicrous narrative spun for 9-11. So by the time the COVID 'experts' were relentlessly fear mongering, in unison, 24/7, I instantly rejected it (and got banned from social media).
You cannot possibly hate legacy media whores too much.
I play harmonica in small clubs . When this shit hit, we took about two weeks off. And then the clubs said fuck this. Back to normal. One club disallowed dancing for a couple months. People got up and danced between their tables. But it’s Daytona, so…
I am still of the mind that they needed to exaggerate covid to throw a wrench into Trump's re-election. The media and "experts" were ALWAYS focused on the scariest stat of the day, not the most important.
And of course, the death ticker disappeared after Biden was elected even though more people died with covid than the year before.
The only answer is to NEVER give the experts ANY consideration. Ignore them all as I did. No MSM, no fauci, no Trumpo, no byden, no HHS idiots, no big pharma, no medical agencies...none of that crap. Take no drugs, never get any vaccines or mRNA injections.
If you must go to the doctor, always question everything they tell you and filter out their BS and dogma. These people are NOT experts in providing health. Heck, they don't even know much of anything about all the poison drugs and vaccines they give you.
You have just improved your physical and mental health 10,000% by doing these things. Never let the fear of disease get you sucked into the putrid health care system. Other than a dire emergency, you stand a much better chance of living longer and healthier by avoiding the health care maze of death.
Excellent summary, SC. You're covering the US but the same applies worldwide. And don't forget the German government's lure - sex for getting the shot, jobs for jabs, one shot for another, etc. Your summary covers the top layer, but as you know there are deeper layers when you start uncovering the lies - the financial ties and sources, the profiteering and theft, the geopolitical agendas, the population control, the mass murder, the sheer evil behind it, all start becoming apparent.
I remember being chased out of supermarkets, hounded and followed by managers at Costco, having the police kick me off the beach, having the police called by Costco security because I was exercising my first amendment right of free speech trying to inform people of their constitutional rights! I remember the Karen flight attendants who were behaving like military drill sergeants. It was unbelievable how the low IQ bullies treated their customers and now we are supposed to forget? I THINK NOT.
This article could have been 30,000 words and I still wouldn't have covered all the egregious shit they did to us.
This is another predictable consequence of their behavior.
Unfortunately, many coworkers at the "hospital " are worried that RFK Jr is taking their boosters. I may have thrown up in my mouth a bit.
I've seen a ton of videos of people getting booster to 'spite' RFK....ironically proving they aren't having a problem getting boosters......
I am dumbfounded by the stupidity. Apparently now getting an injection that will KILL you is an act of political defiance.
How far we've come from the days of "I'LL NEVER TAKE THE TRUMP JAB!"
I am shocked that humanity has survived as long as we have. The level of stupidity and how widespread it is, the only explanation for our survival is a merciful God looking over us and protecting us from ourselves.
Don't go on a protest march, get poisoned instead.
https://baldmichael.substack.com/p/progression-of-vaccine-injury-denial?utm_source=publication-search
🤗 VERY glad people of that ilk are getting more boosters. 🤞 Hope they're from the bad batches.
There was a time, not long ago, that such a post as yours
I would have found distasteful in the extreme. That ended 5 1/2 years ago. I share your hope.
Sadly, as I am tired of the nonsense, I wish the batches would finish them off so we can have some peace at last.
Like the pregnant women spiting RFK by popping quantities of Tylenol on camera?
Exactly like that.
"Wah, wah, we want our poisons, wah, wah!"
I got a call from my 'health care provider' that I am overdue for my flu shot. LOL, I guess you have some poor person calling all the over-60's about that one. I was polite, but told her I don't take flu shots. That is now in my permanent record. The shame of it!!!
I read a headline but not the article stating the latest flu shot had -23% efficacy. (people who took it were more likely to get the flu)
I've seen similar.
I've gotten the flu on the average once every 5 to 10 years. It sucks, but I've survived just fine and was well in a couple of days or so. Covid was worse, and I survived that one too.
Not getting run down doing 10- 12 hour graveyard shifts, etc, seems to really help in that department.
According to Pfizer's 'post marketing survey', the first adverse event from getting the shot was getting Covid.
And they desperately needed a way to not count those instances, thus the "two weeks after your last shot" was born. It eliminated all those vaccine failures AND skewed the future numbers because those people weren't "unvaccinated" in any honest sense of the word.
Exactly. The deviousness and deception was despicable.
And a lot of people died of complications from the jab and so were written off the books.
And provided with that fact, many will still rush to get it.
Last year - Cleveland Clinic data if memory serves - negative 26% efficacy
My pharmacy asks me every time "Have you had your flu shot" and I say "I discuss this with my doctor." When The Doctor asks me "have you had your flu shot" I say "I'll see if my pharmacy provides them".
Well played!, I'll have to remember that one.
I live in California and feel it is a matter of time before compliance for these will be nearly compulsory... So creating ambiguity is probably best.
I was shocked to see how many people are mandated to get flu shots already.
I haven’t had a flu shot in 28 years and I haven’t had the flu in 28 years. I don’t think it’s a coincidence, right?
It's working for sure!
I agree completely with you...they think we are all fools.
Bud light thought we were fools as well.
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
Give it a rest dude.
LoL. Bit of a one-trick pony, ain't he? ... 😉🙂
I frequently throw in a post of my own in various comments thither & yon. Though generally try to make sure they're relevant to the topic.
Yeah I have zero issue with links that are relevant to the conversation, but just spamming at every chance isn't cool.
I have a link somewhere to a guy literally talking out of his ass.
He could be the next expert you hear from.
And all the while, they pretended they knew it all and anybody who disagreed (because they read the trial data, for example) was just stupid or evil.
It was all a test of IQ. People have to retake until they pass or die.
https://baldmichael.substack.com/p/the-great-covid-retest?utm_source=publication-search
This could be a feature documentary.
True, but restated as shit WE allowed them to lie about and do unto us.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!!!
I can certainly sympathize.
However and as I've pointed out several times, Hanlon's razor -- "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" -- may have some relevance:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?oldid=1160455156&title=Hanlon%27s_razor
Of particular note in that old version of a Wikipedia article is an 18th century painting:
"The Court of Foolishness of Gerard de Lairesse. The accused, pursued by Hatred, is led by Calumny, Envy and Perfidy before a judge with donkey ears, surrounded by Ignorance and Suspicion."
Signs of the times ...
Stupidity would have come down in both directions. The "experts" never "erred" on the incorrect side of the narrative -- the "mistakes" were ALWAYS in favor of it.
That's how we know they weren't mistakes. (Well, that and the communications we now have showing they always knew the truth.)
Just like climate “science”
The anger this regenerates is fierce. I spoke out whenever possible, but most wanted to be sheep. Families torn apart. Trust in allopathic medicine gone. It remains the most appalling experience and the masks are still prevalent where I live. I’m fairly brusque in ignoring the stupidity. Now do trans and TDS for the DMS5…
Re 'trans' this may not leave you any the wiser but may amuse.
https://baldmichael.substack.com/p/wickedpedia-transgender-explained?utm_source=publication-search
Hmm…..about mistakes, what do you think of today’s announcement in the Wall St journal that RFK has stated the cause of autism is pregnant mothers taking acetaminophen. Is that the “bombshell” we’ve been waiting for. Check on CHD.
If he can prove it, great.
SCIENCE!
I was not expecting this. Very eager to see the data.
Can it get any more stupid?...sadly yes!
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
Everyone has their own experts — think there's even a name for the phenomenon …
In adjudicating between them one must have some understanding of the principles and science in play. Which is in short supply on both sides of the issue. The “stupidity” over the efficacy of ivermectin maybe being a case in point …
NO.
Whoever invented that phrase is not on the side of Reality and Truth.
None of this is "Dolts Botching Shit". NONE OF IT.
People didn't all of a sudden "forget to Science".
What we have seen is a RESULT of Science, a very particular and globally-coördinated Science.
Remember Yuri Bezmenovs warning about the subversion of America (The West). - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX3EZCVj2XA
* And much of the rest of the world.
**Vietnam locking down 86 million bank accounts.
It's not really science....the word consensus does NOT exist in science. Thank you Al Gore, the high priest of Global Warming.
Speaking of Dolts Botching Shit....try this:
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
ADHD?
Autistic?
No one appreciates spammers unless you have a good excuse
I like one now again....really makes me feel like I made it.
Go away.
"CDC calls on Americans to wear masks to prevent COVID-19 spread (now archived)" -- at least they haven't deleted it: https://archive.cdc.gov/#/details?url=https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2020/p0714-americans-to-wear-masks.html
And: Official nonsense on masks, travel bans is killing Ottawa's COVID-19 credibility
https://nationalpost.com/opinion/chris-selley-official-nonsense-on-masks-and-travel-bans-is-killing-ottawas-coronavirus-credibility
And you also consider this old book, though been a while since I read it myself:
"Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science: The Curious Theories Of Modern Pseudoscientists And The Strange, Amusing And Alarming Cults That Surround Them. ... In Human Gullibility (Popular Science)"
https://www.amazon.ca/Fads-Fallacies-Name-Science-Popular-ebook/dp/B00A73ITVW
You might also consider this old tweet from Steven Pinker:
SP: "I dislike Jordan Peterson's counter-Enlightenment wooliness (Christianity, Nietzsche, Jung, lobsters), but Caitlyn Flanagan [in The Atlantic] explains his appeal in an era when the cultural Left seems to be trying to out-stupid the Right (impossible, but they're trying)."
https://x.com/sapinker/status/1029084788446113792
Atlantic article: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2018/08/why-the-left-is-so-afraid-of-jordan-peterson/567110/
Archive link: https://archive.ph/EFEJY

I'm sorry you put so much work into this reply.
What planet do you come from, bud?
*h/t to Sage Hana/Vigilant Amalek
I guess you haven't seen Bibi's trophy case with a hypodermic needle in it.
Been a while since he invited me into his home for a soiree ...
https://x.com/Jusmuscle/status/1948276306883621172
I love that quote. Thank you. Speaking of stupidity...
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
Your entire post - and the 30,000 words you didn’t write - describes the exact pathway I took from trust to distrust.
And a lot of people are holding similar receipts for their own circumstances (like emails from school districts citing CDC recommendations). They (and you, or I) aren't just going to forget it happened.
I’m looking forward to that
Hell yes.
You're right. US COVID response was mercurial and experts spoke with no doubts - inaccurately. What a flop. However, RFK Jr. is still a nutter. Gets a few things right, but I strongly believe he has some serious mental issues.
Okay, Dr. Rick...
Speaking of egregious nonsense:
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
nowadays when I watch a Youtube program and there are masks anywhere, I immediately stop and write underneath why I stopped watching.
I tried publicizing this study, to the limited degree I could. It's only a couple of pages, and easy to understand:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2493952/
I presented this to my state's court administrator as evidence as to why masks should not be required in courtrooms, after I was called to jury duty, and I got permanently relieved from jury duty for life!
A LIFETIME pass? Wow!
"No masks were worn in one operating theatre for 6 months. There was no increase in the incidence of wound infection."
I suspect masks worn in the operating theatre are for the benefit of the doctors, not the patients. Although they'll tell you the opposite.
Lucky you.
I have to feign death and the like to get excused.
Reminds me of working in an office many moons ago, and then going outside for a "smoke break", a "breath of fresh air" ...
I remember a guy had modified his mask by cutting a hole for his mouth and covering it with a flap equipped a spring and string: You pull the string to open it to put food in your mouth, and then release it to allow the spring to snap it shut.
THE FUTURE OF DINING OUT
It stuck me as somehow related to Pavlovian dog training.
Don’t forget the Righteous wearing a mask alone while driving their car.
👍 The county in TN where my wife and I live is the most reliably Republican county in the Nation (1856 through the present), so we rarely see a Righteous mask performer, but when we do, one of us exclaims “Look at that obnoxious asshole!”
OMG his face must be sore after dinner!
That, and his arm from pulling the string repeatedly for 30 min.
It's eerie, unreal.
HARD PASS
During "covid" we could not even find a Naturopath within a radius of a couple of hours who did not require masking and the jabs. Blue state.
It's all been lies...the only good thing I've seen recently was the American Eagle Ad:
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
'Smatter Sunny? Can't get people to look at your stack?
There ya go !! Thank you.
There were some factions in Germany and Poland and the Baltic states that insisted "we didn't know" even in the 1970s.
Unintentional Godwin maybe, but that was where my mind went.
"They haven't said that on TV"
Says it all, really.
RFK is such a quack he actually questioned the science of masking babies!
This is easy guys, the whole point of our healthcare system is to turn childhood into a disease.
If you create an ecosystem of disease in childhood you have a recurring revenue stream on "auto-renew"....for life.
In business they call that the "sticky" model.
I'm reminded of the video of the little kid ripping off his mask like 10 times and the daycare worker/teacher just shoving it right back on his face.
For science.
tHe sCiEnCe by Monty Python.
Its that ridiculous.
I'll never understand it. I could never mask a little kid.
The toddlers were more intelligent than the adults.
The 'I Can't Breathe' irony was not lost on many...
You can't hate these people enough.
Agree. And well said, as usual.
During "covid", I tried pointing that out to some: that THE SCIENCE used to consist of "phlogiston"!
That psychology model sounds just like scab-picking. Guaranteed to never heal. :-(
Love it - I used to use phlogiston theory when teaching.
I have been on an X "conversation" about the appeal to experts logical fallacy. The original post was some guy asking.
Why do some people hate experts?
because it’s easier to blame them than admit reality is much more complicated.
My response:
Questioning experts is not hating experts. What is not liked is the notion that experts should be believed merely for the sake of being experts.
The very basis of science is that the experiments are repeatable. If it's not repeatable, it's not science. If the science actually backs you up, it's very easy to show it.
The opposite is also true.
Not sure if that might include his own, but here ya go:
https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article/file?id=10.1371%2Fjournal.pmed.0020124&type=printable
Ioannidis would say that even his studie were wrong.
A question the guy asked who was a reframing of the argument. Which would you choose to believe, something a credentialed scientist in a medical field or a ferret?
We need to change the constitution. We the people needs to become We the plague spreaders LOLOL
George W.S. Trow, about 45 years ago: "In the absence of adults, people came to put their trust in experts. Only an expert can deal with a problem."
My dealing with masks, by not wearing them, any day now will result in my death...any day now.
Curtains.
The stonewalling is frightening.
Anti parasitic properties...is that why faux-qi left his position. 😉😊😋

They're very clearly signaling they want to prevent all deportations and the border opened back up ASAP.
If we thought the lawfare the first time around was horrifying and shredded untold ordinary lives in the goal of trying to draw and quarter Trump, it will be full Stalinist basements-with-the-drains-in-the-floor next time.
You are correct. We may have already waited too long to respond. The swamp is vast and deep.
Well, there's always a swamp, no matter what era one lives in. These ain't uniquely awful times. Just ordinarily dreadful.
You might be saying it ebbs and flows. It has been flowing very strongly for so long, that like you were saying, some substantial ebbing is needed.
Everything is a cycle. It just comes around and around again and we're in that awful downturn part now.
"Her"
oops, sorry there—the thought did cross my mind, but I kept typing away…
Yes, driving over a cliff with eyes wide open is remarkably common.
I sure hope your guess is wrong...if we lose in 2026....we are so screwed. Just about, if not more than Bud Light was when they put that Tranny on the can:
https://www.hiddentruthsbysunny.com/p/they-told-you-beauty-was-offensive
It's not a guess. I'm telling you the truth and in every blue state or locality right now everyone is screwed already.
There's been no improvement in Washington's political leadership since then.
Now and then I fire up the snitch line site and have myself a good laugh about what people were complaining about.
"OMG! The coffee stand inside the open grocery store is also open! We're going to die!" (Meanwhile, Starbucks is also open.)
This article has been taking all my time since that happened, but I could probably write something up about this for tomorrow or Sunday......
I don't think anything I have to say will surprise anybody.
"Tim Kaine comparing, in a Congressional hearing, the Declaration of Independence to something the mullahs in Tehran could've written."
Could he be related to Swedish Gudrun Schyman, formerly leader of the Communist Party?
She once remarked, in earnest, that Swedish men are essentially the same as the Taliban.
Every political idea Kaine has revolves around government being the rule-maker above all others.
Yes, but that's a normal Democratic position.
They all usually have more sense than to outright sneer at our Foundational documents on live TV.
"...bland tiresome wimpy harmless..."
All the strong women I know piss on the carpet.
They use their monthly budget money poorly if they can't stock up on super-absorbent pantyliners for those irresistible impulse moments.
Omg! I thought my husband destroyed that video in '02.....at least he assured me he did.
lmao
👀👀👀👀 say whaaat??

🙂 Reminds me of another sci-fi classic, "The Big Time"; highly recommended ... 😉🙂
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Time_(novel)
[she leaves the door open a crack for these sorts of links to slide through]
👍🙂 How about this one then?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy
"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"
They say pick your vibe, make it fluid, don't hide ...."
https://williamaferguson.substack.com/p/non-binary-nuttery
Would be funny -- like a dog chasing its tale -- if it weren't so depressing.
But, in other news, a couple of other links you might have some interest in, a Matt Taibbi post "defending", I guess, Bari Weiss from some "foul slander" in an article at The Nation calling her "a vile grifter" and a "pusher" of "genocide denial, transphobia, and the freedom to make Nazi salutes":
https://www.racket.news/p/on-bari-weiss-cbs-and-legacy-medias
https://www.thenation.com/article/society/bari-weiss-free-press-cbs-news-paramount/#
Amazing how much a picture can change just from a change of viewpoint! 😉🙂
Never read it nor watched the series. Not my type of story.
[slams door shut but continues to whisper through keyhole]
Bari Weiss has been a shrill self-righteous pile of misery since her days at Columbia. In my view Matt Taibbi can be a little naive in his friendships.
One of my favorite novels.
One of my OG online personas was taken from a character in that novel.
Chin up Lass!
(Very theoretically) it is written out in the party name.
Democrats = 51% impulsively decide everything ad hoc.
Republic = lasting underpinning rules not subject to arbitrary or superficial revision.
The thing is nothing ever remains where it started.
As I said in another comment here--politics is war.
For war you must have an adversary. That's all.
I'd like to see a breakdown of how many of these people were 'former' employees to begin with......
I kept thinking of things that pissed me off and needing to add those in.
I'm sure I missed a ton, too.
Ugh, what a SIL.

Please do not spam my comments with unrelated links. If it comes up in conversation, fine.
This is obviously not that.
I reported it.
I hate spam.
Yes!
