Unfortunately Democrats can scream about "state legislature control of elections", secure in the knowledge that most of the electorate have never read the Constitution.
Be proud of you judicial oversight system today! In so many nations around the world, my own included, this could never happen, not even if a constitutional court decided that mandates and fiings where illegal in the first place. You'd get no money, no redress, no damages - in Sweden, you might instead be hit with the bill for the court's work.
In those oh-so-rare cases where people have won vs. the Party/State, they have then been charged back taxes on the amount, and the special "förmögenhetsskatt" (approx. "extraneous wealth tax") too, leaving them poorer than before their "win".
So be proud and keep fighting, because political opposition all over Europe often hold up the US system of courts being able to invalidate political decisions as an exmple to be followed.
Just to clarify, the courts in the US should only ensure that existing law is properly followed. They are not empowered to simply "invalidate political decisions".
I've been asking some questions of the local judiciary candidates. The ones who've responded have said the Seattle municipal courts will drop their masking requirement on Halloween, linked to Inslee ending the state of emergency. That indicates it will indeed happen.
I've seen similar wording around state websites. "Contingent on dropping the emergency..."
Which is why I added the option for "Returns after elections." It seems like once the emergency is 'declared' again, the rules will snap back into place. And as we know, winter is coming. Luckily we haven't seen much of an increase here in WA yet, but we will. (I'll go over this more in tomorrow's article)
But this afternoon a judge told me the accused standing trial, who are held in the county jail, will still have to wear masks in the courtroom in November. That's dismaying but not surprising.

In context, she makes it sound like they’re some sort of autocratic body that seized power, but in addition to the noted fact that the state legislatures have always controlled elections, it begs the question of how did “many” become Republican controlled in the first place? She better hope it wasn’t from being voted in via election, because it sort of undermines her sensationalistic, partisan argument.
Leftist ideology is in itself a psychotic break from reality. Her loss to Trump just caused leftists to drop the very thin veneer of rational thought they may have had.

Everybody was hung up about Biden implying that this organization was to COMMIT election fraud, but the actual story was just as revealing: Biden was planning on perusing every possible avenue in order to win. You don't create this team for the cleanest election in the history of the world.

I heard that Fireman talk on the news this morning along with his attorney. He won his case to be reinstated but the fact that the friggin city of New York is appealing it, makes me want to march on New York. His attorney is going to stay with it for as long as it takes.
How NYC can do this to these FIRST RESPONDERS is beyond me. I could spit from here to Mt. Vernon! CHANGING THE SUBJECT, HERE….. Oh, if I didn’t say this before,…….Hillary is a BITCH

I really want heads to roll on the firing of these heroes. And, yes, you’re right, when the government wants something, they don’t care how many lives they destroy.
The idea of that is eerily reminiscent of how a certain austrian poet, painter and WW1 veteran argued, before he himself got enough votes to force the other parties to negotiate, and then of course he did away with the whole silly voting thing.
So Billary is simply setting the stage, not only for her but for her party('s owners) to make a future power grab and suspension of any elections not only a sad necessity but an actual duty for anyone "valuing the defence of american democracy".
If and then that happens, the decider will be how the US military and the police, National Guard and other armed and regulated groups decide to act. Could be very "interesting", especially if US forces on foreign soil becomes cut-off from the homeland. How long would they last in the ME without Big Brother looming from beyond the ocean? The roman legions, when that happened back then, went native instead.
The irony being we probably trusted them too much in the past. More suspicion might be a step in the right direction, if it is accompanied by improvements in security (e.g. purging voting lists, requiring in person voting save for military over seas, vote id, etc.)
It also bothers me that they don't just make election day a state/national holiday and get it over with. Boom, no more "I have to travel for work" excuses for absentee ballots... oh right, that's why.

Still, ours can't do either since we don't have a constitution the way you do, or the kind of set-up the brits or the germans have.
