King County, WA drops vaccination verification requirement as of March 1: https://seattlemedium.com/king-county-to-end-vaccination-verification-policy-on-march-1/

Now if Herr Gauleiter Inslee will get around to dropping the indoor mask mandate, I can enjoy going out again.

That's great news!!! It's sad that all of the 'I got vaxxed to go out' people end up with three months of benefit set against a lifetime of risk. :/ Would have been much better if they weren't coerced in the first place!

Actually reading more than the headline, I discover this bit:

"Modeling produced by the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) predicted the vaccine verification could have a significant positive impact in reducing infections, hospitalizations, and deaths."

But no acknowledgment that there was no impact whatsoever, either from the journalist or (ha ha ha I kill me) King County.

That parenthetical made me lol. And THEN I realized the irony!

"According to officials, nearly 80% of all King County residents are now fully vaccinated and among those who are eligible to get vaccinated, which are people ages 5 and older, 92% have started the vaccination series."

Do you see what they did there? Hint: 12% of King County isn't waiting to be eligible for their second shot.

“We announced the vaccination verification policy in anticipation of a fall and winter surge in cases."

So they DID know about seasonality the whole time? I'M SHOCKED!

Expand full comment

I think they will co-opt seasonality: Pfizer can, snap, make $54,000,000,000.00 seasonally. (Although an ex-Blackrock dude just predicted bankruptcy for the crony-Capitalists. I have to read about it; I suspect the bail-out will make Jamie Dimon blush, GM jealous, and 2008 look like a few ants at a picnic.)

Please re-read some P. J. O'Rourke today. He was an original master if there ever was one.

Yes very sad news :(

So, with CA indoor mask mandates ending yesterday, except for (onerous) exceptions, I went to my local grocery store last night expecting to see my fellow shoppers joining (always maskless) me breathing the air and joyously smiling full tooth exposed during the experience. I was shocked to be the only person - as usual - not wearing one. I rechecked Newsollini’s latest screed about the muzzles and found only “unvaccinated” folks are now “required” to wear them indoors while shopping. Bizarro world lives on.

CA citizens self-mandate. We won't let that right-wing Newsom tell us what to do.

Wow I’m from Washington State and right now I’d say it’s worse than where I am now: Canada! Seattle-ites have completely lost their minds. And Geesh isn’t Richland kind of migrant country too? I mean, lots of immigrants there? I could be wrong but honestly the class aspect of all this bullshit is becoming more and more apparent. I’ve never been so angry and anxious reading the news in my life. When will it end?!

Expand full comment

It's hard to say when it will end because it's not about keeping people safe. Richland is maybe an hour or so away from the Idaho border, where thousands and thousands of children are already going to school under mask-if-you-want rules.

Hmm...What's the name of that 51st state proposal, encompassing N.E CA, Eastern Oregon, and Western Idaho? Maybe Idaho has figured out how to keep from losing real estate, and Oregan and Washington are clueless.

Expand full comment

Yes I had family move there. Washington and Idaho are two completely different planets. And no it’s absolutely not about keeping people safe!

Oh, wait. I just noticed the end of the Twitter notice says, "ignore this warning and continue."

Never mind.

Has Mr. Berenson recanted his ridiculous theories concerning marijuana? (He's been spot on since.)

And there is the Prince Andrew settling out of court news which links closely with the Clintons and Epstein.

Expand full comment

Maybe I'm suffering from dementia, but I could have sworn he was loudly proclaiming that he was going to fight all this in court and the truth would come out.

Expand full comment

Well, despite the specifics of the settlement (just how many Crown Jewels did the jubilee'd queen part with) being necessarily hidden, SOME truth came out.

Like, I had no idea the Prince was so cool that nothing could make him sweat, not even a gaggle of young Epstein "employees," nor even the heat of the authorities.

Now, who had Epstein killed? Does the Queen know?

Expand full comment

Yes, me too, must be all those vaccines we have taken. His settlement speaks the truth!

"Warning:....spammy or unsafe"

How can ANY words ANYWHERE be "unsafe"? Now, sticks and stones (police States), THOSE will kill you.

Oh, just great. Now I have to put Andrew Coy on my reading list. Thanks a lot, M. Stegiel. You guys are pulling out all the stops to get me to stop posting, aren't you.

May Mr. Durham's investigation be what it seems to be: the beginning of the end of our insidious Deep State (and thank you, Mr. Barr, for working for the difficult DJT just long enough).

Can't wait to read this when I get out of the shower! Thanks!

Read it, very nice! I think that once Trump won, the swamp was desperate to maintain the coverup of all the malfeasance they had been participating in, mainly the weaponization of government against political enemies.

I didn't think so. Oh, well. You go, World! I'll keep on trying to keep up.

(Funny, I meant to edit out the "more." As if it has ever slowed down, right?)

Edit: I'm even falling behind on my edits.

Edit redux:

Me: Can the world slow down a bit?

World: No.

Me: I didn't think so. Oh, well, you go, World!

World: I will.

Me: I'll keep on trying to keep up.

World: You will not, but I will tell you what you WILL do.

Me: Check out my new T-shirt, World!

i think when they fired up the hadron collider they did something to the space/time continuum.

this isnt the life i expected, i want a refund

> this isnt the life i expected, i want a refund

SkinnerBox Expectation Frustration Disorder is what they did to the space/time continuum.

Jeez, try to keep up bro.

Ha! Well, to be fair to the bro, duckduckgo says,

"Not many results contain skinnerbox

Search only for "skinnerbox" expectation frustration disorder?"

But those birds' space/time continuum sure has been knocked askew.
