If you pay attention to the mainstream media, you’ve probably missed the story about the massive trail derailment near East Palestine, Ohio that occurred on February 3rd. The train, which was carrying massive amounts of vinyl chloride, was on fire for roughly 20 miles before the derailment.
Two days later — fearing some of the cars containing toxic chemicals would explode and send train-car-turned-shrapnel flying everywhere — government officials decided to empty the vinyl chloride into a trough AND THEN LIGHT IT ON FIRE.
Now, this story is far out of my wheelhouse. I spent yesterday trying to learn about all the different risks of the chemicals and problems with what happens next. But basically, we’re looking at the wind patterns blowing this toxic plume to the east, while the waterway carries the poison west and south. People are already reporting dead fish in the water and dead animals on land. Contamination of the Ohio River at this point affects multiple states and numerous large cities downstream:
This story is already bad enough. A huge industrial accident spewing toxic chemicals into the air and the water.
But what really gets my wheels turning was the complete lack of coverage about the story until a couple days ago, when it was no longer possible to ignore the videos coming out from the surrounding area.
President Biden has been talking a big game about saving the planet and being environmentally friendly, yet remains silent about this huge ecological disaster unfolding in real-time. Also silent are the “climate warriors” who demand we live in 15-minute-cities and eat the bugs. (Another example of how these people are simply “useful idiots” used to advance the current narrative)
But aspects of this story are square in my wheelhouse — such as the government’s reaction. Take a look at this arrest of a journalist who was covering the story live. Pay special attention to the language used by the “authorities” — they cover nearly all of the “magic words” that “allow” them to violate the Constitutional rights of the reporter on the ground:
This basically fills up the police bullshit bingo card. When the reporter asserts his Constitutional right to be there, the police claim the reporter is “trespassing” as a pretense to arrest him — even though the police officer knows the guy will be out of jail nearly instantly (he was). And on top of the shit sundae, they even yell “quit resisting” as they manhandle him.
This was a week ago — a few days before the story started to leak out (thanks to citizens doing journalism by uploading on-the-ground videos). I have yet to hear any mainstream outcry about how banning journalists is dangerous to democracy. (I guess that only applies to Elon and his “private company”, not to government officials.)
East Palestine residents have been told its safe to go back home, but many have complained about headaches and a chemical smell lingering in the air — leaving many to wonder if it’s actually safe. (Remember, the federal government said it was safe at ground zero for weeks after the 9/11 attacks. It was not.)
This brings us to today’s poll!
Speaking of having trouble breathing, West Seattle High School students are being forced back into masks due to “high concentration” of covid in the school. (120 cases so far)
But what we find when we dig a little further has me cracking up:
Kids have been going to school all year without masks and there’s been a total of 3,440 cases — a little less than half of last year, when kids were in masks.
The obvious “solution” is to put kids back in masks.
And the “leaders” have no plan to change course any time soon:
I’ve been writing for a while about how we need to push back against emergency orders and how they circumvent our political process — and this is exactly why. Now the CDC is just assuming the power to put students back in masks (exactly as I said in March last year!)
A special hat-tip to “Our masking guidance doesn't really change with time” — completely ignoring the massive mask shift that occurred just a couple years ago.
Get your kids out of public school.
Just a quick reminder about the endgame of central planning:
This is the predictable result of seeing people as numbers on a spreadsheet instead of as actual people.
I just can’t resist dunking on “Reason” magazine, for reasons ALMOST completely unrelated to my commenting ban. For the last 6+ years we’ve had to listen to Reason dismiss Big Tech censorship as “private companies doing private company things”. (Even now, their Twitter Files reporting is terrible)
But look how they pivot once its THEIR ox that’s being gored by government-funded and directed censorship:
Suddenly Reason is able to see that government directing “private companies” isn’t so cool after all!
THE ANSWER IS QUITE OBVIOUSLY NO. The First Amendment prohibits the US government from censoring private companies!
If only Reason had been saying this for the last half-decade as people were thrown off of social media sites at the behest of government, I might believe them now. Alas, that ship has sailed.
Speaking of train-wrecks... someone's apparently told the MSM that your president is fair game all of a sudden.
Journalist asks him about his family's dealings with the chinese stateand if they impact his responses to spying, Fentanyl, et c? Unca Joe storms (well, ambles) off in a huff.
Is that what's called a "tell"?
I saw it. But i know the pro-vaccinated people are all over it. Some doctor named Gorsk used it as an example of "not knowing how VAERS works without saying you don't know how VAERS works."
