I think ( at least I hope) these government looters are smart enough to not seize bank accounts, enact digital passes or restrict free movement and commerce (any more than they already do). Because the people of this country are beyond fed up (no pun intended), and when folks can't eat, get gas for work, go to work or worse, they will light the torches, sharpen the pitch forks and run these syphilitic asshats into the Potomac quicker than Biden craps his depends.

Democracy is history. Do you really expect honest elections? Even if by some miracle they don't shut down the country just before the election on some bs lockdown

We can’t reason with politicians. We can’t expect them to act with sanity or compassion. They aren’t really human beings. Instead, we need to think of ways to insulate ourselves from them. The more things we can take out of the digital space and into the analogue world (e.g. cash instead of cards, paper books instead of Kindle, musical instruments instead of streaming apps) the more control we will have.

It’s a lot easier to threaten a man who lives in small apartment in Manhattan than a man who lives on a 40 acre farm in Iowa. Self-sufficiency is the only practical way to fight back.

If your bank is frozen in Canada, how do you make your mortgage payments? And if you can't make the payments, how you sell your home without a bank? Did the Canadian State essentially seize all of the protestors assets a couple of months ago for honking their horns?

I don’t think ‘we all learned the lesson’. I’ve been scared ever since Bill and Hillary became President. Hillary, fortunately was caught and exposed for her illegal activities; i.e. trying to take freedom of choice away from prospective doctors; you could only be the “kind” of doctor that powerful unelected people told you could be. What she tried to do, froze me in my tracks. From that point on, I never rested on my laurels. Fortunately, SimulationCommander, we now have people like you who “bring up the rear.” Thank God!

We can thank our founding fathers for putting in place the checks and balances that limit the powers of government. I have no doubt that this administration would do exactly the same thing if they could get away with it. But here at least they have to keep up some pretense of democracy. They will have to figure out some slick way to convince the apparatchiks that it is for the greater good, like they did with censorship. We'll probably hear something like, "the dangers of fascism and racism dictate that we all need social credit scores" or some such bizarro thing.

Does anyone remember this blue eyes/brown eyes experiment?:

Ryan Gardner…..OMG! I had never heard of that. I can’t believe what just happened. I ‘m exhausted. I only listened and watched 2/3 of it. That was enough for me. To say I was stunned would be an understatement. I hope this 3rd grade teacher was recognized for her thought provoking method. And, I agree with you that it should be mandatory today for 3rd grade students. By the way, I also feel the same way about the book/movie, To Kill A Mocking Bird; So many lessons to be learned about humanity.

“I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I’ll be following public health guidelines and isolating,” Trudeau tweeted. “I feel okay, but that’s because I got my shots. So, if you haven’t, get vaccinated – and if you can, get boosted. Let’s protect our healthcare system, each other, and ourselves.”

I still think 300 mil people will die as a result of this covid nonsense. Shit runs down hill. I don't think they've been too concerned with covid.

These galactic ghouls don't care. My working theory is that for every day lost, before this nonsense ends, is "X" amount of people who die...pick your ratio...
