Maybe, she wanted out from behind the pile of folders on her desk of things she never did anything about. Just because someone is sorta pretty is not a reason to hire them in a elevated position.
Obviously, Bondi fumbled in several ways but I do think she was in a very tough position and in a hostile environment, at least outside of the administration. Or possibly she was in over her head. Yet, I’m not convinced the next guy will be any better. Grand juries, if there were any who were impaneled, would have had plenty of time by now to move cases forward and since we’re not seeing this movement…
This said, I think Lee Zeldin is a great choice but Rubio would be killer. Too bad Stephen Miller doesn’t qualify he would go scorched earth if he was allowed.
What does it mean?!? Sheesh! There are not a lot of ways to interpret the question. As a lawyer, one would imagine he would be able to sandbag a better non-response. Maybe he’s not used to speaking on camera? Nerves? It was a fumble on a question nearly everyone has been asking and it’s the exact opposite of what people want to hear.
You’re right, uninspiring, yet, it won’t take long to figure out whether or not he’s going to be useful.
Why is there anyone who believes that after four years of the Biden admin that there is nothing in those files that Biden or his friends don’t want in them, true or not?

"I have been one of her biggest champions, as many of you know. In fact, this has been one of the biggest single points of disagreement I have with many of my followers.
The Epstein rollout was a disaster, I've never denied that.
But her success in the appellate courts and SCOTUS in moving forward the Trump agenda has been the best of any conservative AG in my lifetime, and I stand by that.
But apparently Trump wants her gone, and I will always defer to his decisions in these matters.
Godspeed, Pam Bondi. You stood in the fire when others stayed home. People have no idea how much bravery it takes to put yourself out there like that."
Bondi was an incredible disappointment and couldn't even pretend to be professional in front of Congress, let alone investigate a litany of crimes from the past administration, which probably pissed off Trump. She didn't get the memo on why she was hired. Buh bye.
Haven't seen a single big name under prosecution yet. Comey, James, Brennan to name just three, bungled. Where are the investigations into fraud in MN and CA? Where are the investigations into the whole USAID/NGO/DNC finagle? Who's looking into Fauci and the whole covid mess?
I get it, it takes time to get things together. But a year plus, not one prosecution, let alone conviction?
I think he figured out the court cases, arrests, etc., weren’t going to be happening in the fast and furious way in which it had been touted or inferred. Even people I know who aren’t very political were expecting much more in the way of arrests and convictions. There’s so much low hanging fruit to be prosecuted it’s bewildering how it’s all turning out to be a big nothing burger!
Russiagate is the biggest one to me, because that affected Trump personally. If he won't even go after those people, what hope do we have to see covid justice?
Absolutely. So much pointing to Obama, Biden, Clinton and others. Nada. Crickets. Although, we hear there are 'secret' Grand Juries empaneled that any day now...
No reason to keep a person that doesn't do their job. Does he keep non-workers on his personal payroll, too? Can't imagine someone of his wealth would.
I'm familiar with Bondi since she was the Florida AG. She's continued her anti-2A drive, fumbled the Epstein files, and ineffective with 'draining the swamp'. All the 'Russia' conspirators are still enjoying their freedom. I'm concerned with who Trump will permanently replace her with. Too bad Matt Getz was sidelined.
Her role in the political prosecution/persecution of George Zimmerman for defending himself from attack by a large, violent man named Trayvon Martin. Not some cute little kid like the media only showed pictures of. A large, violent man with a rap sheet and history of violence attacked Zimmerman. Slimed by media who Blondi was playing to the cameras for when she green-lighted the prosecution, orchestrated the withholding of exculpatory evidence, etc. Even the "White Hispanic" characterization of Zimmerman a fraud and deceit. Yes, that was Blondi's doing. F her. They never change their stripes.
Agree. He tried to put up a smoke screen (sort of pun) regarding chem trails. It was pathetic. Those of us who know didn't buy his bs for one second. Just another puppet face raking in the money.
Admittedly, without having read any other comments, I thought Pam was strong but put in a very difficult position. That being said, just as others have done, including the naive Kristi Noem... do NOT say anything unless you have receipts.
I was not a fan of Bondi at any time, before or after. I think Megan Kelley got it right, when she said something like, Bondi was a media whore. The unforced errors, were terrible, and she never recovered from the first. The last hearing, finished her off! Granted, she might have done "some" good during her stay, but, not enough to overcome the blunders! Glad she's going FINALLY! 🤬
Commander - off topic but LEGO has made another large sized Cat model, this time an orange cat vs the Tuxedo

Well there goes $100.
Maybe, she wanted out from behind the pile of folders on her desk of things she never did anything about. Just because someone is sorta pretty is not a reason to hire them in a elevated position.
I think I'm getting old enough that this is all bs to me. I almost at who gives a flyin' f'?
If only we could afford to think that way about politics, life would be much better.
Change the actors and still the play remains the same.

The interview I saw today did not inspire me about Blanche.

Q: Is the public going to learn the identities of the men who abused the girls in the Epstein files?
Acting AG Todd Blanche: Like, what does that mean? I don't understand what that means.
Oh, Lord! 🙄

> What will you remember about Bondi’s stint as AG?
That she was ass on gun control.

He says this a lot, but we don't know if those trial wins were actually because of Bondi or her staff.
We're gonna find out.
excellent post
It was pre-coffee, too!

kaboom

I get it, it takes time to get things together. But a year plus, not one prosecution, let alone conviction?
And we still don't really know why Bongino left.
I think he figured out the court cases, arrests, etc., weren’t going to be happening in the fast and furious way in which it had been touted or inferred. I also forgot Jack Smith.
So damn true Sim Com
What the hell took so long?
Trump rewards loyalty, and Bondi was loyal.

Lee Zeldin? Maybe..
Who is also a big disappointment at EPA/

Hmmm,, not to me.

Yes she had an almost impossible job, but stepping on those rakes is really what got her.
Indeed.
This is the two highest profile women in his Cabinet leaving within 1 month.
What do you make of that?
Very happy about this move.
