Doesn’t take much imagination. Trump 2.0 is miles and miles ahead vs. a Harris 1.0 where we would have to pack it all in. They never get power again, I pray, until an American reckoning shatters them and they reform with some sanity.
Everything was amazing! Most surprised by the members of the military who sang all those songs! Well worth the wait. C-Span did a fantastic job covering the event. Did anyone see the ET's floating across the screen periodically? Lol. I'm guessing drone camera coverage? Any bets on the Lamestream media complaining about all manner of things tomorrow? 😉
It was wonderful! The sentiments, the elderly war veterans, the rare historic flags. The fireworks! And I was not expecting the accompanying popular modern 'standards' played by a symphony orchestra, faithful to the originals and sung by strong clear voices of individual military vocalists. So well conceived and well executed all around.
It was especially nice, that the ole standby's, like John Phillips Souza marches, heard so many times, over many decades, was not the song selection this time. Quite refreshing. I'm not sure if the music was coordinated with the fireworks display, but, I imagine they must have considered it.
Yes. And the audience, couples and families, at the park were very engaged as a result - singing and dancing, a great patriotic party.
I was watching to see if there was coordination! It seemed there was an intent to match the peaks of the crescendos with the explosions of color, although not always and sometimes a bit off. I think it would be difficult to pull of with live rather than recorded music. (Thank you for your reply!)
> The British didn’t just roll over because of flowery words on a sheet of paper — independence still had to be earned with hard work. (And lots of bullets.)
Super conveniently, I *have* a lot of bullets! And most of them are even integrated into loaded cartridges!
On this Independence Day, a day celebrating our declared freedom from the tyranny of England, one may look across the pond - at a King who has abdicated his protectorship of the Faith and a Kindom that has become a despots’ sandbox in which lurks the dusted imported turds of low trust cultures - and somehow still be grateful.
We pulled out the DVD of Independence Day, spurning the Hulu offering, and enjoyed aome family time. That movie, from 30 years ago, harkens back to a time when Hollywood still knew how to make a movie and occasionally proved it
"Storms bring luck to whatever the occasion. They also make events a little bit more exciting! We will wait it out, I don’t care if it’s 2:00 O’Clock in the morning, or in one hour from now. Looks like it is going to pass, they always do. I will be there no matter what, but the “what” usually turns out to be a good thing. It’s Saturday night, LETS HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight. They say 11:00 O’Clock for the speech. Who cares??? Remember two weeks ago when the big UFC Event was at 100% chance of heavy rain, all week long, and just minutes before the card started. Well, there wasn’t a single drop, and the fights turned out to be among the greatest in history, an event for the ages. Our great veterans, especially the old timers, many of whom are there, went through hellfire, and it didn’t stop them. It’s not going to stop us either! I’m not going to let some rain stop our 250th. I’m leaving the White House soon. God Bless America! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
Here's a current radar for DC, started seeing dots in screen, then realized it was rain. Another site said remaining flyovers cancelled, please depart event site. 😩
Trump's second term may not be everything we had hoped for, but imagine where we'd be under a Harris administration right now.

You have to "fight for freedom" on days like July 8 and October 23, not just July 4th, if you expect to have it.
YT deleted the pew-pew ting-ting video, of course. At least it was up for a little while. :(
"America The Beautiful. God shed his grace on Thee." Thanks for this!
The fireworks were incredible!!!!! and now I will watch the sandlot. I love my country warts and all
It ended up being perfect timing for me because we let off all our fireworks, came inside, and the DC show was just getting ready to start!
Well I didn’t take any pills. But I did drink many beers. Does that count?
George Washington would have been sad if you didn't.
🍻
I take no pills.
That's the ultimate pill these days.
Happy two-fifty, USAmericans! Well earned, so party and enjoy!
The fireworks have started and they are amazing.

What about blue and yellow purple pills?
Only red white and blue ones today.
But don't mix them.
I better just skip all the pills, probably laced with fentanyl anyway.

All mine had a boating accident :(
That was just the guns, for me. Here. In this desert. Tragic boating accident.

The perfect popcorn blockbuster.
Trump's statement on fireworks!

Thanks for posting this! Good to know President Trump posted this. Love his optimism!
We were waiting it out, enjoying a late dinner, with RSBN on in another room until the President's speech shortly after 11:00 p.m.
It's a disgrace American mainstream networks ignored the President's speech on such a momentous occasion.
Better than canceling!
C-Span reporting folks beginning to return back to the DC event. Trump & entourage loading up at Whitehouse to head over to event site.
C-Span YouTube covering many cities coast to coast!
Here's Virginia live fireworks!
