A Quick Catch-Up
Around the void in 5 minutes or less
I’m hard at work on an article that obviously isn’t getting finished tonight, so I’m going to take a (very) quick look at some recent stories that don’t warrant their own articles.
Up first, a settlement for the people of East Palestine:
Thanks to Arne for the tip!
I am sad to announce that Democrats are not following my advice:
And have still learned nothing at all:
(Fun fact: Rolling Stone proclaimed Kamala Harris lost the 2020 DEMOCRATIC primary due to — you guessed it — racism and sexism.)

Bond villain and OpenAI Sam Altman has some terrifying views about the effect of AI on society………while continuing to devote his life to AI:
President Trump’s been busy, too:

Working on this new article I’m not sure when I’m going to get around to watching Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing, so I’m providing a link to the event here:
Back to it!

Oh heck. Kash Patel's confirmation hearings are the best entertainment I've had since--oh, the day after the election.
You deserve the treat too. There's something about watching it live that no captured-live tape can equal. I'd never have guessed that he was going to turn out to be my absolute all-fave.
I hope the people of East Palestine negotiated for lifetime health insurance against cancer etc due to all the toxins they’ve been exposed to
