What the what now?
We are not (or should be not — the leaked Ukraine documents show we have boots on the ground) “in a war.”
Ukraine is not a beacon of freedom — it’s a place where fighting-age men are forbidden from leaving the country and are forced into military service they obviously don’t want to perform.
Ukraine is not a democracy. Zelensky bans his political rivals and “consolidated” the nation’s press.
But don’t you worry, patriots! The Republicans are here, and they’ve got a powerful message:
It’s so clear when you hear them say it out loud! We must continue throwing billions of dollars at Ukraine (depleting our combat readiness) to defeat Putin, otherwise Xi will take Taiwan.
And what happens when (as the leaked documents suggest) Russia ends up ‘winning’ and we’ve blown up most of our resources? Who will defend Taiwan then?
Maybe we can start with Joe Manchin, Kevin McCarthy, and Michael McCaul.
My question about this insane Ukraine mess: "Why do pretty much every single politician on both "sides" in the fake left right paradigm vehemently support this madness? It's baffling. If I write to my so-called public serpents to express my disdain for it all and mention that people in America can't even afford a loaf of bread, I just get the same drivel in reply, "we have to support democracy in Ukraine ". It's like they are all completely brainwashed.
Putin cannot be dissuaded because he is conducting a religious crusade. He told us that more than a year ago, we just weren't listening. He wants to unite the Eastern Rite Church first by taking the mother church in Kyiv, then punishing Estonia and Poland for embracing Roman Catholicism instead of the Eastern Rite. There is also a Russian Orthodox community in Alaska, and once he has that, he will be satisfied.
