For the last couple days, it seems the entire globe has been embroiled in the world’s largest blame game. Shocked and appalled, one side of the Israel/Palestine conflict blamed the horrific destruction of a hospital and the hundreds of ensuing deaths on the other side. But shocked and appalled, that side of the Israel/Palestine conflict blamed the horrific destruction of a hospital and the hundreds of ensuing deaths on the other side.
The problem with the blame game surrounding the horrific destruction of the hospital and the hundreds of ensuing deaths is that there was no horrific destruction of the hospital, and therefore no hundreds of deaths that ensued from it. (A silver lining, to be sure!)
It’s now clear the hospital remains standing, and the blast was centered in the parking lot. (Though if the blast was because of a rocket misfire, the parking lot strike was simply blind luck.) While people WERE tragically killed in the blast, the causality numbers are nowhere NEAR what the press was reporting (from everywhere, all at once).
Yet the actual facts on the ground didn’t stop both sides from lying about what happened — and the usual cheerleaders picked up their pom-poms and went along it. (Even the reporters supposedly at the scene?) What does it matter if a story IS true, as long as it FEELS true? If the hospital FEELS destroyed, isn’t that enough to run with?
And as newfound favorite Jonathan Turley notes today, the very organizations railing about ‘misinformation’ and demanding censorship (about EVERY issue) never seem to be held accountable for their own. As of publication, this blurb from an elected official is still up on Twitter:
Tlaib has since doubled down on her statements.
But just like during covid, the censorship industrial complex never seems to “hit” the people who are advancing the ball downfield— in this case, toward war. (Glenn Greenwald just pointed out that Northrop Grumman is up 15% and Lockheed Martin is up 11% since October 6th.) And in this time of enflamed tensions, just about ANYTHING can provide the spark that ignites the tinderbox — it doesn’t have to be true. (In fact, historically, it’s probably not true.)
(In that vein, can we please stop sending our elected officials into warzones? We’re risking basically everything for almost no gain — it doesn’t make any sense!)
This entire episode has reminded me strongly of last November, when “Russian-made missiles” struck Poland, killing two. Poland was NATO’s “red line” — meaning if Russia attacked Poland, it would be attacking all of NATO. (Essentially kicking off World War III)
So when these missiles dropped in Poland, there was an IMMEDIATE outcry for escalation — with Zelensky unsurprisingly leading the charge for NATO’s involvement.
But once the fog of war cleared, the truth emerged: either Zelensky was lying in order to draw us into the war (likely), or he was incompetent because he DIDN’T know the missile was Ukraine’s (also likely):
This recent Gaza hospital destruction story is yet another reminder of the need to remain calm in the face of horrifying allegations and wait for the truth of the matter to emerge. Better yet, let’s follow the advice of Ron Paul in 2001:
Add another one to the “Ron Paul was right” jar.
Before I go, I’m just gonna drop this here with a reminder that you used to get thrown out of polite society for saying a few of the things Pfizer is now admitting:
It’s no wonder new jab uptake is only 2%.

Hamas’s terrorist attacks against Israel.
The need for humanitarian assistance in Gaza.
Russia’s ongoing brutal war against Ukraine.
We are at a global inflection point that is bigger than party or politics.
Tonight, I'll address the nation at 8:00 PM ET from the Oval Office.
