*lol* I saw a monthly subscription signup for you come through, and your payment appears to have posted successfully via Stripe, so I think you’re covered 🙏

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic support, Denise! I have lost income over this (only two of the people who set up recurring donations via PayPal have switched over to my Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/margaretannaalice), so I truly appreciate your stepping in to help compensate for the impact this has had.

"This is the way that government is side-stepping the Constitution and using ‘private companies’ to do their bidding."

Why, that sounds like...shadow Fascism.

When peeps can only work if the State deems their work "essential," when private companies go woke on State demand, when free opinions are censored by State-established "right-think"...

Why, that sounds like the overt variety.

So why are the Democrats polling as high as they are? Could it be that Democrat voters are ignorant of their (increasingly) obvious Fascism?

I don't think they are ignorant, and that is the scariest thought of all.

Three times in recent weeks I’ve received emails from groups/publications that my monthly credit card payment to them didn’t clear and that I would have to add a different payment method. But the odd thing is that my card was not lost, stolen or cancelled. It still works for purchase. They didn’t notify me of suspected fraud. They just quietly blocked payments to groups I’ve been paying regularly for months already yet said nothing to me about it. I contacted the bank and they said no reason was listed in the system for the denials. They claim the payments were stopped at the Visa level before the charges ever got to Chase bank. Strange, right? Coincidentally, the groups were all of a political nature: Anti-CRT activist Christopher Rufo, a pro-2A group, and most innocuous of all, Bari Weiss’s centrist (but unwoke) Substack. It almost seems like they want to deprive these groups of my money without me noticing.

Another cancer that was spotted years ago but we ignored. Obama’s administration pressured financial institutions to stop doing business with various elements of the firearm industry. Should have been stopped them, it wasn’t thus we have this.

It shocks me that proponents of shutting down speech that they disagree with, feel threatened by, or hurts their feelings will only be used against their perceived "enemies." These shills are so blinded by fake political hatred that they can't see the real enemies are the institutions, agencies and governments that have convinced these willing dupes that they're doing the "right thing" to "save free speech and democracy." Eventually the only speech allowed for *everyone* will be the approved speech as written by the enemies of *everyone's* liberty. Wish these people would wake up.

It doesn't even matter if the GOP doesn't retake power. Anyone on the left who is cheering this is of the mistaken belief that this really is about politics or morals. It's not. It's about control and it's completely and utterly apolitical. Democrats were just the one that sold us all out for their thirty pieces of silver. The ones that live in the shadows have divided us and now they're conquering. The same people cheering today will be tomorrow's victims once they are no longer useful to the System or resist the System.

Which brings me to my next, more immediate concern: do any of you know what servers Substack uses and if they are beholding to any particular payment processing company? Every time I have trouble logging on or the site is down, I go looking for news stories to see if they have gone after Substack.

Expand full comment
SimulationCommander's avatar

Stripe is the only company that processes Substack payments. I don't know if they have a backup plan, but I sure hope they do.

And you're 100% correct that the ones cheering will become victims as well. It's like they can't even remember back to when they were the #Resistance.

Many “Conspiracy” and “Alt-Right” content creators were cut off by Patreon, YT, Twitter, PayPal, and WordPress back between 2015-2017. Then came an even bigger purge, targeting survivalists/preppers, 2A supporters, Qbies (Q-Anon people), and other big mouths. Apparently some Lefties even got caught up in the net. Then the Jan 6 “insurrectionists” and MAGA accounts started disappearing, and COVID questioners were shut down, too, and doctors with “wrong-think” were threatened with their licenses (but hey--ANTIFA is still somehow going strong!).

Then the Canadian truckers got their bank accounts frozen.

It doesn’t take Nostradamus to see that free speech is finished, folks, and it was so easy: just let the corporations do it! But this isn’t a Left/Right thing. We’re ALL pawns. The Progressives will ultimately get theirs as well, as soon as their usefulness has run its course. “Useful idiots” indeed.

China going global, and our leaders both political and business aiding and abetting them.

Because in a globalised world where all peoples and races are interchangeable (i.e. equal), treason is only possible against the ruler, not your own nation or people.

And you will always have opportunists willing to volunteer as Sonderkommando, just to live a little better and a little longer than their fellow prisoners.

"But....but....TRUMP!"

Maybe he doesn't realize yet that he will make the same exact excuse when they're running against DeSantis or Rand Paul or Mickey Mouse. I can't be the only one who remembers how Romney was LITERALLY HITLER who was going to put black people back in chains.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-tells-african-american-audience-gop-ticket-would-put-them-back-in-chains/

(CBS News) DANVILLE, Va. -- Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday told a diverse crowd here, including many African-Americans, that presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney would "put you all back in chains" by unshackling Wall Street.

Biden told more than 800 ticketed supporters that Romney wants to repeal the financial regulations enacted after the Wall Street crash of 2008. "He's going to let the big banks once again write their own rules - unchain Wall Street!" Biden said. Then he added, "They're going to put you all back in chains" with their economic and regulatory policies.

In my last episode, I posted links to these two events as craziness spinning out of control:

England’s new Prime Minister pledged that she wouldn’t hesitate to nuke the world, to rousing applause.

California’s Gavin Newsom signed AB 587, stating that “California will not stand by as social media is weaponized to spread hate and disinformation that threaten our communities and foundational values as a country.” Each company over $100M must publish their terms of service and submit enforcement reports; violations (of their own terms?) can cost them up to $15,000.

Do you think the latter is specifically targeting Substack, HQed in SF?
