The Clusterfuckathon Toward World War III Continues Unabated
Ever notice the warmongers are WAY too old to fight?
Hello Screamers! Hope everybody is finishing up a great weekend. As they say these days, any weekend unmarred by nuclear hellfire is a good weekend.
Speaking of nuclear hellfire, it’s been quite a week for Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) — first, he got booed off the stage while appearing at a Trump rally. Then, he had to endure MSNBC’s Ari Melber explaining why Graham was “worse” than “other MAGAs”. (Spoiler alert — “he knows exactly what he’s doing.”) Apparently, MAGA Americans didn’t get MSNBC’s memo that Graham was one of them, because the senator was back in the “MAGA crosshairs” over the weekend — for the typical Lindsey Graham reason.
I spend more than a little time Screaming about how Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is an unrepentant warmonger. That’s because Lindsey Graham is a unrepentant warmonger. On Friday, he publicly stated he was going to work with both sides of the aisle “to pass a resolution urging the admission of Ukraine into NATO”:
Luckily, it takes more than a resolution by Congress to get Ukraine admitted to NATO, because such an act would immediately kick off World War III and lead to the deaths of millions worldwide. And for what, exactly? Pro-war zealots only mouth empty platitudes about ‘defending democracy’ in a place that’s banned opposition parties, media, AND elections. Shouldn’t somebody be able to tell us exactly what about Ukraine is so vital to American interests that we should light the world on fire to defend it?
DC’s “adults in the room” can’t explain what we’re doing in Ukraine, yet they tempt escalation — possibly leading to nuclear holocaust — at every opportunity.
Like sending cluster bombs to Ukraine — which are basically bombs that open up to drop a bunch of ‘bomblets’ across a very wide area. Biden defends the decision, saying the European country is “running out of” ammunition in its war against Russia. (Who is wearing down who, again?) The reason Biden has to defend the decision at all is because over 100 countries have banned the use of cluster bombs — mainly because the bomblets have a high failure rate. This means they sit unexploded for however many years — perhaps long after the fighting is actually over — until some unlucky kid comes along and thinks it’s a toy.
We sure went from “Ukraine is winning” to “Ukraine needs to cluster bomb the Ukrainian countryside to win” really fast — it’s almost like the former was bullshit the entire time. Sending these weapons to Ukraine is an idea so terrible that permanent warmonger John Bolton thinks it’s excellent.
But Tom Cotton wants you to know that not ONLY does he think it’s an excellent idea, he’s been for sending Ukraine cluster bombs basically forever:
When John Bolton and Tom Cotton are on one side of a foreign policy issue, it’s a pretty good bet that you want to be on the other side of it — and that you probably want to get loud about it so the world knows not all Americans side with the warmongers. The Biden administration has been terrible in basically every way, but I’m not begging for the sweet release of nuclear annihilation just yet.
We are in both NATO and Ukraine for one reason and one reason only: a constant stream of orders to the Complex.
Any and every rationale for NATO evaporated with the USSR & Warsaw Pact. It’s a “defensive” alliance for the North Atlantic that has to go thousands of miles away to find a war in which it provides offensive power; can’t wait until PRC goes after ROC & the North Atlantic force deploys to the South Pacific.
Good points.
