We homeschool, but my kids are signed up for various classes. After one art class, my daughter reported, "Masks are required" because the teacher demanded she mask up. I asked her what she thought would happen if, next week, all 12 kids arrive at class without masks. She's busy organizing now.

I guess my point is, I understand why some people still send their kids to public school, but, just as we need to teach them the virtue of obedience, it's our job to help them discern the times when disobedience is virtuous. Why are parents seeking permission to unmask their kids at school?

The Unions are the problem in the UK too. Without them, lockdowns may have never happened. They screamed for them.

Kids get colds and flu too. Teachers' Union needs to go -- they hold back the US. They are the horse and buggy.

Off topic, but has anyone else noticed those cooling towers at the Beijing Olympics?

Hmm...maybe I've been a little hard on the Chinese...

Teach your kids how to grow food, and teach them how to learn. The rest they can navigate on their own.

We always planned on homeschooling with public school as a backup. Lolz. Homeschooling forever it is! (Especially in King County. We are talking about leaving the PNW though.)

Let's see how long this lasts, when parents equate teachers with the democrats and turn on them at the polls.

That is happening, from what I am seeing.

I will bet you $100 that that school is getting covid19 bribe/coercion money. This asshole is PAID to push the bullshit. FIRE HER ASS, parents.

Public schools lose federal money if they don’t adhere to the CDC C-19 guidelines. In my state, that’s $30m per month.

Wow I believe it but would love a source to share! You know how it is…

Yep. It's coercion, blackmail, whatever you want to call it.

I am starting to believe that teachers just don't want to work. And if they are forced to work, they want to torture the kids in retaliation.

The teachers themselves, they may just be useful idiots. But their leaders are just sick Pharma shills. Masks are no-touch torture to coerce children and parents into “consenting” to the clot shots.

Exactly! My sister and brother in law are both teachers and have totally fallen in line with all of this BS. The only ones in my immediate family to do so. My sister says she just wants to be home with her kids. Then quit and do so! My husband has been working mostly alone in our business for 2 years so we could have the kids homeschooling to avoid all of this crap in schools. We took a huge financial hit and had to sell equipment, but that kept the kids away from the nonsense.

Interesting. You're actually very close to it. I know someone that does hiring for a major school district. The ones that could retire did. They can't fill the positions. My theory is that the younger ones realized that working from home and not having to get dressed is a lot more fun than going in and having to deal with people in person. Do you have to even put on pants if it's a zoom call and youtube classes?

No, as proved by one Jeffrey Toobin, who is CNN's chief legal analyst, and an expert on conducting "open" zoom meetings.

Otoh, maybe the mute was a good idea.

Who made her queen? The teachers unions are not the highest authority in the land. They don't make law. Just say no. What the hell do people not understand about the simple concept that YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT UP WITH? That's it. It's no more complicated.

Or until the winds blow the way of the unmasking, and then the tune will change abruptly. NPR of all places had an article recently about the growing desire to unmask the kids.
