These days, it's no secret that the establishment is seeking to censor "unapproved" thoughts in all aspects of society - from covid rules to the war in Ukraine. In fact, this 'Stack probably wouldn't even exist without the blatant censorship that got me banned from Twitter nearly two years ago. (Blowback is real!)
Since then, revelations about the Twitter Files and the Censorship Industrial Complex have hit (or not hit) the mainstream consciousness of America, bringing this issue to the forefront of the minds of many. (Though mostly those on the "wrong" side of censorship. A frightening number of people are thrilled with the silencing because it's being carried out against their political adversaries.)
I know all this stuff in my brain, but now and then a reminder of the scope of censorship jumps out and bites me. That happened yesterday when attempting to find a link to a past article to paste into a comment on yesterday's piece.
For reasons irrelevant to this story, I used the default (Google) search to find the article. I've been using DuckDuckGo for searches for a while, and didn't REALLY understand the extent of Google’s censorship. But take a look at what I found yesterday.
First, I'll paste the DuckDuckGo results I got after doing my Google search. These results are exactly what I expect. I searched for the exact title of the article with my name, and the piece I'm looking for pops up first. Following this are results for the comment section of the article, along with general information about my 'Stack in particular:
Now let's take a look at what the exact same search turned up on Google:
No article. No links to my ‘Stack. No…..nothing at all. For Google searchers, the article may as well not even exist - and I think it’s worth pointing out that this particular article was written after the predicted winter wave crashed over the country, destroying the official narrative about covid vaccines and their efficacy. This is important because the Censorship Industrial Complex admits that it censors true information if that information would lead to increased vaccine hesitancy — meaning they will censor the truth and promote lies in order to further the narrative. (This simple fact means we shouldn’t trust them about ANYTHING!)
Ironically, yesterday Matt Taibbi experienced (and wrote about) something similar, although Google and the rest of the Censorship Industrial Complex are clearly breaking out the ‘next level’ of censorship for his ‘Stack:
Perhaps they know they can’t ‘disappear’ Matt Taibbi as easily as they can disappear somebody like me, so instead of outright censorship, they attempt to smear his site with “warnings” that somehow never appear next to outright lies the “leaders” tell.
This is the extent of the issue we’re dealing with — and why I appreciate how Screamers share these articles to “route around” censorship whenever possible. If you write an article but Google censors it from the mainstream, does it make a sound? The "leaders" hope not, but I'm gonna keep screaming anyway.

Apologies for any increase in errors in today's article. My ancient laptop gets wonky when it comes to editing.
Q: "If you write an article but Google censors it from the mainstream, does it make a sound?"
A: It does if enough of us echo it.
