RFK Jr. Drops Out - Mostly
Kennedy also throws his support behind Trump - mostly
Last October, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially dropped out of the Democratic party to make an independent run at the White House. Since then, RFK Jr. has tried to break through the two-party stranglehold on our elections — first by holding traditional rallies (we even shared a night at the theater in February!), and then by appearing on podcasts and other forms of alternative media.
Just as in the primaries, RFK Jr. has faced stiff opposition from the DNC (the party of democracy!) — which recently succeeded in getting Kennedy kicked off the ballot in New York state. The Kennedy campaign faced similar challenges in numerous other states as well.
So today — having learned the lesson of Ron Paul in 1988 (you simply can’t get elected without being part of one of the two parties) — RFK Jr. is removing his name from the ballot in numerous battleground states so as not to be a ‘spoiler’ in the race.
In his speech today, RFK Jr. ripped into the media for essentially becoming lapdogs to the establishment. (Fact check — that’s why you’re reading this Substack in the first place.)
RFK then explains the details of his plan — he’s not ending his campaign, only suspending it. He’s also remaining on the ballot in many states.
RFK Jr. then turned to the reasons that he’s suspending his campaign and throwing his support behind Donald Trump. In this clip, he discusses the war in Ukraine. (You guys know I’m a sucker for a good neocon rant!)
In a later section of the speech, RFK Jr. talks about meeting with Trump and realizing they have many of the same views on important issues — including free speech. Kennedy notes that Kamala Harris was not interested in similar discussions.
After rattling off some terrifying health figures, RFK Jr. explains that the regulatory agencies are bought off by the very industries they’re supposed to be regulating. This means we’ll stick our kids with (taxpayer purchased) Ozempic instead of giving them healthy food.
In the last clip of the speech, RFK Jr. discusses the opportunity that supporting Trump gives him to end the chronic disease crisis.
It remains to be seen if this pseudo-endorsement of Trump will move the needle in battleground states, but it’s encouraging that Kennedy understands the direness of our situation (especially with regards to censorship) and is doing what he can to defeat the Democrats in 2024.

My bad! Comments should now correctly be open for everyone.
Outstanding speech and quite brave in the face of very, very serious opposition. Courage. He's also a walking billboard for health and fitness and given the best position to make a difference where it matters he will be held in ever higher regard. Bravo and Godspeed to this newly invigorated infusion of hope.
