Well, that didn’t take long. Just a week or so after promising that the Disinformation Governance Board wouldn’t be the ‘thought police’ to American citizens, Nina Jankowicz claimed that parents upset about CRT in schools are a real problem.
“Critical Race Theory has become one of those hot-button issues that the Republicans and other disinformers, who are engaged in disinformation for profit, frankly … have seized on,” she said.
She noted that she lived in Virginia where Loudoun County — which saw throngs of parents angrily speaking up at school boards — was “one of the areas where people have really homed in on this topic.”
Remember all the way back to last month when LibsofTikTok was banned from Twitter for reposting public videos made by teachers praising CRT or talking to children about sex and vowing not to stop?
If not, here’s a little reminder:
“They’re queer because I’m queer.” Totally normal, right? I guess I’m ‘lucky’ that MY fourth grade teacher was a straight man. (who happened to be married to my third grade teacher - the cisgender propaganda was everywhere!)
Obviously the person we should be worried about in this scenario is the parent concerned about why their child’s fourth grade teacher is talking about her sexuality, not the actual state employee being paid to provide a service which doesn’t include anything at all about who she sleeps with.
Of course, Jankowicz didn’t get her job because of her airtight logic and persuasion capabilities, she got the job because she always sides with the current regime. She exists to provide a veneer of authority to the things the administration already wants to do — mainly suppress everything that makes them look bad.
And this won’t the last example of the DGB showing itself to be a completely captured agency. As the election rolls around, you can be sure the DGB will be neck-deep in trying to censor any information that makes Democrats look bad.
And American’s continuing Bidenization doesn’t stop at the DGB. Last week the administration announced the “Office for Environmental Justice”, giving unelected bureaucrats even more control over the lives of regular Americans.
"In our environmental enforcement efforts, we will prioritize the cases that will have the greatest impact on the communities most overburdened by environmental harm," he said, noting that "communities of color, indigenous communities, and low-income communities often bear the brunt of the harm caused by environmental crime, pollution and climate change."
I’d point out that these are the same exact people who suffer from terrible policies that turn their cities into shitholes in the first place. OF COURSE government’s response is to defund the actual police and fund the climate police, as if a gang shooting is a result of global warming.
And it won’t be long before the OEJ is overstepping its stated mission exactly like the DGB is already doing. After all, it is the nature of government to grow. But don’t worry! Climate lockdowns will be exactly as effective as covid lockdowns.
Well, it's official. I've been diagnosed with climate change. Now it's just a matter of doing what I'm told, locking myself down and agreeing with every single "approved" "science", agenda, belief system and philosophy until the safe and effective vaccine is rolled out...
This is why nobody from our side is demanding we censor them, and, in fact, that they get maddest at LibsofTikTok, who is merely giving them MORE publicity. Nina, PLEASE keep telling us that parents and others who disagree with you on this issue are merely very dumb people who have been misled by the disinformation of the political leaders who are merely focused on exploiting us deplorables. Definitely focus on the schools and families. People like that.
Incidentally, in 2019-20, 1821 K-12 children were homeschooled in Loudoun County. The number remained fairly unchanged from prior years. This year, the number was 2879. (To be fair, last year it was 3326-- so some kids did go back once in-person school resumed.) I hope everyone who is concerned about the rhetoric against parents considers donating to the HSLDA.
