Is destroying our economy useful to us? Why is nobody reporting that we alone are farther along in the Paris Climate agreement than others? And the trend to economical home solar along with new battery technology is happening without mucking around by making energy more expensive? Making the process move faster by suggesting climate change requires a return to 1890 just wastes money. Trying to rush is always expensive as is running down the path of battery EVs when Toyota suggests hydrogen might be a better solution. They know that getting all the minerals for EV batteries will be very hard work. Not that a lot of work isn't needed to get solar powered hydrogen production and distribution isn't also hard.

When dealing with power grabs, I for one appreciate the heads up.

The important thing about this issue is that, as the First Lady's husband shouted angrily at me, "it's who COUNTS THE VOTES!"

Let's just blame Putin instead of puppet Brandon and the puppet master monsters behind him.

Saw a t-shirt yesterday, !Vamos Brandon! It's going international. I wonder what is "let's go" in russian? We could probably sell lots of t-shirts there.

But not until after the mid-terms.

I wonder how national parliaments would look, if we instead of parties and elections used trials.

Like this: walk the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico until you can see the Bering Strait in under 120 days. Or complete the swedish ski-race Vasaloppet under 4:30:00 (90 kilometers cross country, the temperature generally being -15C or lower). Or that five-day non-stop running race in Australia. Or the real Maraton in Greece, where you run there and back again, meaning 85 kilometers in mountainous terrain, in +25C dry heat. Or...

Because to make yourself fit for that takes self-discipline, will to win, and sportsmanship.

And I can't see a sinlge democratic parliamentary process that selects for anything but cronyism, narcissism, and utopian idealism.

Maybe it's just me though?

Biden doesn't like the "progressives". neither does the DNC establishment. I'm sure this proposal will be as popular as mud.

Expand full comment

Actually Biden is just the front man for a progressive back office. He just says what they give him to say. Jill knows but she likes things the way they are.

Pigs do like their mud, though...

Joe isn't interested in popularity. Whichever side makes it worth his time will get his support. The socialists contribute generously to candidates who support their goals. But they know it won't sell in full form. We'll continue to get it a piece at a time. The objective isn't controlling climate, just controlling us.

Biden may not “like” them but he does a lot of capitulating to them regardless of his “feelings.” He banned new leases on federal lands, shut down talk of nuclear and gave Gates 2/3rds of the puny investment congress made for nuclear, destroyed Women’s sports and safety “day one,” promotes racist ideology, wants 5 year olds sexualized in schools, promoted a plan to bankrupt religious preschools that over 50% of US children currently attend, claims government spending doesn’t cause inflation, created left wing authoritarian medical mandates, he encourages outright censorship to promote left wing ideology, he claims a man he appointed head of DHHS is a “female,” he gets far left TikTok influencers to promote his far left policies........... I mean the list of policies where he has capitulated to the far left is long and broad and basically all he’s done for 14 months. Even if it’s true that he doesn’t “like” the progressives, his feelings don’t seem to have gotten in the way of him embracing of far left policies...........

Joe isn't in it for "likes," only donations. Professional politician, professional grifter.

Joe is obvious to the entire world. I'm sure he is amazed at nice people are to him. Not sure he fully understands he is, in fact, President. The one time he put his foot down was a reflex over Afghanistan. He likely has no idea of the tragedy that caused.

Almost no one likes their awful policies, which is they have to cheat to get elected.

At the time I thought "working like the devil" was a double entendre rather than just a figure of speech. Nobody would actually hire the devil to do work they cared about. Sorry if this was already obvious to everyone.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Perfect title.

You know, it often occurs to me something that I am sure is true. If we in the U.S were truly interested in clean, abundant, sustainable energy for the purposes of saving the Earth, as well as backyard barbeques, we would produce ALL the energy, in ALL the various forms, that the World could need right here in the West.

That would clean up those filthy Authoritarian Socialist Empires' climates, just like that!

And add masks to that fire! On second thought, that could potentially affect the climate, so nevermind...
