Remember when Jamal Bowman pulled the fire alarm in a House building before a Speaker vote (coincidentally after the ‘leadership’ wished it could have more time) and everybody on the left had to pretend that, yes, fire alarms ARE confusing. This incident led to the creation of this on-point meme:

As a little reminder, here’s what Bowman said about this incident:

Many of us called bullshit on this statement — and now we have the video to back those allegations up:

Bowman’s story is that he thought the fire alarm would open the door. Yet in the video it’s clear as day that Bowman never even LOOKS at the door once the alarm is pulled.

He knew exactly what he was doing, and he straight up lied about it — even knowing that this video would eventually find its way to the public. He simply doesn’t care because he knows that telling political lies is acceptable, as long as those lies advance the political goals of the party.

And ultimately, the ‘fine’ for this stunt is meaningless. (It reminds me of the NBA’s attempt to crack down on floppers by fining them. But a win is worth way more than the fine…….)

Admit guilt, but just pay the fine and have your charges dropped. Must be nice to be on the ‘right’ side of history, where no offense is too big (or too small) for the memory hole.
